- The plaintiff was raised by a single mother and never really knew her father. A year ago, the defendant reached out to the plaintiff and said they may be sisters, so the plaintiff is petitioning the court for a sibling DNA test. The defendant truly believes she and the plaintiff are related, and she is eager for the results.

I commend the plaintiff for taking care of her mom, I did the same when my mom had a stroke and I'll tell y'all that it's a blessing to care for your parents. My mom past away 2 years ago and I miss her so much😥

I was thinking that too. If her family never did anything for her in the flesh. Their truth was a gift forsure. I’ve witnessed people leave names out of obituaries for the sake of preserving an image or to spite someone else. But this was done in truth and served these two girls well. Wishing them the best as they heal and foster their relationship!

Some people giggled, laugh or maybe go silent during a excited moment just to hide their real emotions. Their real emotions usually be very emotional (Good Sad NOT Bad Sad) & (Happy Tears). They hide all that to keep from crying in front of others!

God knows what you need when you need it. I'm so happy the young sister reached out. In glad she feels loved and has someone to turn to. I'm happy for the older sister as well, she seems so loving, and maybe this new relationship will help her heal as well. BLESSINGS TO BOTH OF THESE BEAUTIES!!
Wow.. I have to say.... Baby sister is smart! She followed a feeling or a spirit and look what she found! All based on seeing her name in an obituary. I also have to say that adults ain't shit sometimes. Seems like dad didn't want to be an active father and his mom, God rest her soul, coddled him. The older sister's mom didn't even wanna admit to messing around with him lol. But God brought these two together and I hope they stay blessed.
And I don't like that judge mathis condone when fathers are not emotionally available. That's what it seemed like he was doing. I like him, but sometimes he's full of shit.
This was so emotional for me that I cried a little bit when they got the results. I am genuinely so happy for them. A lot of men don't realise the impact of their actions in the lives of their children.
3:15 when she explained how she handles disappointments, it hit home, my dad was on drugs and mostly absent, in and out, and made lots of promises and let me down a lot and I just let it go and moved on. In therapy, I pulled out that when I need something and I can’t get it myself, (I’m very independent) , I just stop needing or wanting it. It saves me from disappointment and it reinforces why I don’t depend on or ask others for anything.

The judge was ready to JUDGE the children more than the deadbeat father again but he backed off. Good!!! I don’t care what reason he had for being a deadbeat. He NEVER gave his father this type of grace.

I was in the same situation with a mother with three kids by three different men - I could see one. But it may have not been three kids, 3 years back to back. And many more of us had she not gotten her tubes tied. Had somebody held her accountable
She just did not recognize him from the picture she was shown. People can have different looks throughout their lives. Maybe with her he just looked different.

I love to see positive interactions and how they didn’t bash their father or blame him for what he didn’t do. Amazing, beautiful ladies who actually look at carry themselves very similar. They smile, fold their hands, and their eyes and facial features are the same. Dad genes are real strong, their mothers just gave birth, and raised them. There’s no way their mom’s couldn’t see the dad everyday, cause they both look so much alike and mannerisms are so much alike too.
I hate to say this but sounds like plaintiffs mom stood in the way of her knowing her Dad and his family. They all knew about her and the fact he’s still *alive struck me as odd. He may very well been a deadbeat but the plaintiff family could have denied other kids and they didn’t.
