- I recorded this sometime around late 2017 - early 2018. "Never Meant" is the first track found on American Football's self-titled debut released in 1999. Though the writing is minimalist in nature, it features delicately woven guitar lines and complex rhythmic ideas.

Thanks a lot, man! That was the first time I've tried reamping with my amp connected to a loadbox into my computer. Im pretty happy with the result but looking back, I think I could have done a few things better in terms of tone though haha.

Thanks so much! A clean sounding amp is all you need and you can definitely play this without any effects. In my opinion, your sound sound is largely determined by how you play, not so much the gear. The best players in the world can make a $150 Squier sound amazing, so practice lots and you'll get results!

Thanks for checking out my cover! Unfortunately, I only have a hard copy of their tab book and I don't think Kinsella and the gang would take too kindly if I were to redistribute it. There's some pretty accurate transcriptions that a quick Google search would yield though.
Or if you want to transcribe it by ear, the tunings are: FACGCE for the center screen guitar and FCCACF for the other screens.
