Sir, i have doubt. Exciter input is DC. So, we can directly connect to Rotor. Why Exciter change it to 3 phase and again rotating diode change to DC. And supply to Rotor. Kindly explain it. Thank you.
I think permanent magnet output is not going to exciator, only exciator produces ac voltage with rotating rotor and passes through diode(rectifier), which(DC voltage) is input to rotating rotor.
We cannot able give the dc supply to rotating field. This is the only option to give dc supply to field winding. This is called brushless self excitation. Otherwise we can use separately excitation with the help of brush to directly give to rotating field winding
we can, But it should meet the bellow conditions. 1.Terminal voltage must be same 2.Phase sequence must be same 3.Phase angle must be same 4.Frequency must be same Some methods are available to sync two machines.we can use it
