I am long time Garrett owner going back to the 80’s I skipped these when they came out as I use my older detecters. Now tht Garret is on the cusp of ontroducing it’s brand new Storm series, I am looking at these as a “Trunk Detector”. I knw there are many more advanced contemporary options out there, I just always preferred Garrett detectors… And now that these have been considered “outdated” is my kind of detector to look for at a bargain price..
As far as operation best demo I've seen. I have 3 machines, 800, Ace 400 & Max. I think I'm keeping the Max & selling the rest. I may buy the Apex. Any machine made will find everything if you're working good locations. Just dig it.
Great video, I just started getting into treasure hunting and I’m addictive lol, just got my new ace apex and looking forward to finding lots of good things. Thank you for the video

Good morning from Derbyshire, England 🏴 Thanks for this nice little video, I have just got hold of an Apex and about to try it out on some British pasture. Great video, great channel 🇺🇲
Good morning to ya! Thanks for checking in. Let me know what you think of the Apex. I cant wait to get back out on a other season with it. I enjoyed it. Take care and happy hunting.

Hi. I want a new detector and Apex with Raider seems like a good choice. But I have a Fisher F44 and the features and setup of the Apex seem more than similar to me. Is it just my impression?
Great review - thanks. Question in reference to the charging port, I hear through the grapevine that some APEX owners have been successful at adding a permanent small magnetic charging lead to the port that is left on all the time and fits under the cover for magnetic charging. We all know how ports can get discombobulated over time - your thoughts.
Tests will tell for sure. I think some videos out thus far are from detectorists that may not have understood exactly how to set up the machine. That is just my opinion.
I dont really get the depth settings. Trying to search about 3-4 inches down but the detector is finding stuff almost a foot and a half below even on lowest sensitivity. I'll be digging and digging for a target with one bar on the screen and end up finding a irrigation pipe or something lol.
Oh wow. Not really any suggestions other than an elementary plug it in and then try OR plug it into a computer to update the software and see if that works. Maybe call them? Their customer service is great. They may have a secret G-14 classified code to get it to come back on. Good luck! Let me know what you do. Happy hunting.
@@5280Adventures I got it. I think it just needed to be plugged in. When I tried to turn it on initially it popped up the battery symbol but it was showing almost full. I went to plug it in and it was not at all almost full. Rookie mistake on my part.
you passed over the part of how to pair the headphones. In the headphone manual it says to see the instructions with the transmitter. What transmitter manual? the manual they give you says nothing 3 pages.
I will have a video out on Saturday. I planned on more this week but the fires in Colorado have really prohibited me from getting outside to record some.
Got this to detect around my 1920s farmhouse and barnyard. Took about 10 minutes of detecting before I was digging up my first find. Nothing special, just the clip off a halter lead rope, but it’s a start!
Tony a few questions. In the US coin Mode will the Apex pick up a flying Eagle or a fatty Indian? My next question involves the multifrequency feature does a nickel had the same Vdi in 5 MHz as it does and 20 MHz? I know you may not Know right of hand but I think this information will be helpful. Thanks tony Don

How do you read the depth indicator? Does it mean that the target depth increases as more bars are blacked out?
Yes. More bars = deeper.
I am exited to see that at work!!
Excellent video guide!
Can you use it on shore maybe on the sea ?
The coil is completely submergible in water and the box is “rainproof” but not submergible.
That's definitely a sweet little machine Tony. I hope to see you putting it to work soon!
Yes sir. Test videos coming and of course more hunts! Thanks for watching Jerry

You may consider a Simplex or Nox depending on your budget.
@@5280Adventures Thanks. Do you think it will be a better choice than Apex?

Ive hears the same and I think it is a great idea to do. I struggle to get mine plugged in to charge.
Great Video!
Just got one, but still seems intimidating.
Good after from Derbyshire does this need the Internet, can you use it in uk 🇬🇧
No internet required!
When I see the depth indicator, what does each block mean as far as depth. I found no documentation on reading that scale.
I believe 2”
If the block at the bottom is white, does that mean each filled block is two inches, or each white block is two inches?
Each block is 2” I think
Do you have to charge it on an outlet. There’s no batteries to go in at my right. ??
All internal
All I want to know if it go’s in a outlet or you put batteries in holy moly only one question to ask please..
Do a comparison with the Nokta Legend as soon as possible, will you?
That’s the plan. Dealers are taking preorders. Which one will deliver first?
Will be watching your field video ..Hope it goes well for you ..As from what I have been seeing it is an ok detector..
