People can be absolutely horrible. They forget that puppies are puppies for a short time and grow. That baby probably would still wag his tail for the very people that treated him horribly and left him in such horrible conditions. Would they drink that water? They should be left outside for weeks on end having to drink that filthy water and be treated like he was. No wonder I love animals more than people

I agree. California has laws protecting animals but seems they are not enforcing them. These people need to have a huge fine attached to their water bill or some form of punishment that actually sends a message.
They need to have some consequences if you treat an animal like this in your backyard or something like that.... what would theythink if someone do that to their children? Dogs are social animals as well and seeing doing that to them breaks my heart always@@vilmalaurel8833

I live in Fresno and I know how horrible this situation is here for both cats & dogs (I’m a TNR volunteer). Every time I see the final credits and it’s a Fresno story, I cry. There’s so much poverty here but also ignorance and lack of humanity. It was 114 this summer, a fall on the pavement can cause 2nd degree burns, vets and ERs see people every year with heat related injuries and illnesses. Sometimes I’m just fed up with humans.
Im fed up with it all too, but its that fire...that passion that drives us to keep fighting the good fight. Cuz without us, those suffering would have no voice ❤❤❤❤
Allot of homeless people from that area, if they can't keep a roof over there own head. Not going to take care of no animals.sadley. 😢

She wasn't necessarily abandoned. If they abandoned her, then no one would have been there. The rescuers had to ask for them to surrender the dog. They were there with her. They just didn't provide the best everything for her.

Absolutely inhumane how she was treated initially but relieved she was literally pulled from that deplorable situation. Her eyes are so lovely, filled with intelligence. I wish her many years of a happy life.

I think 8 hours at night in a crate is also inhumane.
Yeah, I mean, I'm against crates in general myself but I do understand when they would be needed. Hopefully, these would be very temporary arrangements. @@andicantu6490
@@andicantu6490that irked me too. I just don't get it. Why does she have to be locked in a crate overnight?? So the humans can sleep in and don't have to get up at 6 or 7 to let her out to pee?

She was not malnourished, she wasn't sick, no sign of violence, it's easy to condemn people just because they are visibly very poor.
They aren't bad humans they seemed to be trying,they were poor.
@@lebourse I don't think people's condemnation here has anything to do with poverty beyond the visibly obvious that their inability to care for themselves is also reflected in their inability to care for the dog - abuse through neglect. They're not trash because of their social or economic standing; they're trash because of how they act and its effect on the innocent. People here would be just as willing to condemn them if the dog was found in the same circumstances tied up in the yard of a 750k home.
They deserve every bit of the condemnation and hopefully, will learn from it to better themselves enough to prevent situations like this from happening again in their home. I have my doubts. Regardless of how rich or poor they are, trashy people tend to repeat the same mistakes over and over.
Shame on the "owners" who kept her in such appalling conditions. Keeping dogs chained outside is cruel, especially in extreme weather - hot or cold. Disgraceful neglect. And being sociable animals, they suffer from loneliness when left without companionship. Thanks to rescuers and adopters for saving her from a horrible life.

Not heartless at all. Heartless would be to not surrender her and to keep her in the condition she was in. Love will tell you to put someone else's needs above your own and it looks like this family did that by realizing and accepting that they could not care for the dog.
@@MLIrons I agree. No one knows the situation of the previous owners and they were gracious enough to put the dog’s needs first.
I am just grateful for people like this dog’s rescuer and that the rest of its days will be spent in a home.

It may take a long time to get to a much better place, but the only way to get there is to change people's worldview -- and that takes a *long* time. But having the laws on the books is a start.

Might be a good idea to keep an eye on that negligent family's property and make sure they don't mistreat another dog like that again. It's a wonder not only that Bea survived, but that she kept her friendly and incredibly sweet disposition. Thank goodness there are people who do all they can to save dogs like her. We need more of them. ♥♥♥

Thank you to everyone involved with this beautiful dog rescue. One of our rescues who came from Northern Canada had never been inside, who knows what happened in his life before us but it really took a few years for him to completely trust us. It takes a lot of patience and kindness for some dogs but the affection and devotion is so worth it. Having our older dog also helped him with his trust issues.
Great comment especially about having an animal buddy for comfort and trust. I always comment on that.

I really do not understand what is going on on this planet.... no matter what country you are looking at - animals are being abandoned, neglected, mistreated etc etc.... and it really makes me so very mad and sad!!!
At the moment I have 10 cats (feeding more) - but since Feb 27th, 2023 my sweet cat Sissi is missing 😿😿😿... In order to find her I am also searching through FB every day.... and it breaks my heart so many times each day to see how people treat their animals 😭😭😭.... sad greetings from Germany 😿😿😿

Why put her in a crate at night? Can’t she just have a dog bed?
Some crate dogs when they first get them to acclimatize them. Also some dogs do like their crate. My brothers dog went to his crate to sleep during the day, it was his safe place.
@@marilynboyd5513 Yes, you are correct. I guess I was thinking of this specific dog, but he probably does feel safe and cozy in his crate/kennel.
My black Labrador has slept in her cage since she was a pup. With our other dogs we put the crate away at about 6 months. This dog still wants to be in her cage. Being in the cage is not enough. She will not settle until I close and lock the cage door. She is now almost 12 years old and still loves her crate.
My dog has a crate and a dog bed. He prefers his crate at night it’s his safe space
It's so sad, but you're so correct. Shelters are even worse. But at least she has options now ❤
