Surprised the military hasnt caught on to this as a item. Wouldnt take much to make it military grade hardware. I can think of a few things it could be used for.
yup, they have developed a good program for the walk. and probably use good quality servos for the main leg motions. this platform is superior to current biped bots and anything on rollers simply because of the multi-terrain capability. program a climbing gait and it would probably make it better than tracked platforms for mobility.
I want to be a robotics engineer and i found out this video. Really loving PhantomX. But it was invented 7 years ago. Wow the world has changed a lot. And i should try my best to "catch" the development of technology. Now i'm just 17 years old.
1:50 weird, if they need a robot just for camera duty you think they'd chose somethign small. A delta robot attached to the building would probably be an even better option.
For 16 k, I would Like to see a program upgrade, The movement and range of the legs while it runs is very inefficient, It would be interesting to see the legs reach all the way forward by pointing its legs straight forward, then it would pull the leg down while adjusting the joints. It would be able to gallop, well, not gallop, but move faster. The hips or the first joint of the legs barely rotate, I hope they soon take full advantage of the wide range of motion and upgrade its walk program.

Do not see the advantage over wheels for this one. What advantage does this give over wheels? I bet wheels or tracks would even be able to scale a bigger incline

Super fast indeed. Try and build a hexapod yourself and you'll see the limitations quickly. This is the fastest commercially priced one I've seen. And the price is normal. Strong and quick servos are expensive and there's 3 in each leg.
I could just see a whole city with these things walking around.
Can't wait for the future :D
Am still waiting bro😂
one of a few hexapod robots that can actually walk properly.
This... plus a quadrocopter... would be insane.

Reminds me of the Replicators in Stargate SG1.
They should make a car like this!

Do you think you have any idea what the military are using/inventing right now ? :p
really cool but it would be possible to extend the range of a couple of miles on a TX / RX as some planes or radio-controlled model cars?
Banterr lurdd... Kenceng tenan mlayune
I think if you can improve its feet, give like rubber padding of sorts, it'll go faster. And have some grip too. I don't know, I'm not an expert.

Yeah, price is definitely steeper than I expected for a remote control robot. You can get your own Nao for 6k though :-p
Cool, thumbs up!

Skynet IS self-aware. It just hasn't told you yet.
cool creepy toys!
They need to have a add-ons on main body - like grapler, airgun, etc, then it will be a toy))
poderia me dar algumas informações de como posso construir um parecido.

Plz reply back what if you put a gun or a drone on top or both
When you hear the screeching from its mechanic legs, you will know that death is near.
Can it climb sofas? Can it spin web?
No but he designed a radio controlled toy robot and a giant robot version FIRST!
If i were u i would skin it to look just like that spider head from the Thing...
i have an old version of this called S.P.I.D.E.R
I want i can ride :D
shit with wheels would be able to go where that thing went
make it walk upside down on walls....
Look at all the robots I can't afford...
I shall use this to make my army of evil spider tanks, Muhahahah!!!
are you crazy???? what if skynet becomes self aware??

First this then custom robos lol
robotshop has pretty cheap hexapod's.
Shut up and take my money! :P
4lbs? Lame, I'll wait until they can support 100lbs and strap em on my feet. Pointless.
1350$.. expensive.... I wish the price under 300$ I wil buy one..
Can do all that but spin a web to catch spider man and super girl making Whoopi. Well, get back to the drawing board and keep trying.
