Thanks for the video. Years ago i got stuck with some fake panda 1 oz coins.I stamped the word fake on them. I have them today to use as a teaching tool and if something should happen to me my loved ones will know about them and not pass them on.
That is a great idea. I only have these ones in capsules, so I mark the capsule as fake. (I dont have any stamps anyway) I like to keep the fakes in original condition to show how they come from the factory. I'll look in to getting some stamps in case I run across fake coins, or other items that could use the mark. The fake coins that come with the Pocket Pinger are already stamped "Fake copy"
@@WorldMoneyWins the fakes are getting better all the time. you got to check today, my panda's came from our local coin shop. they didn't catch them and i didn't check until years later so i couldn't really go back to them.
Damn! Ya, you need to check immediately when you get teh item. Ebay has awesome buyer protection, but if you wait 30 days, then it is gone. You are screwed if you wait. (I think it's 30 days. Could be longer)
I've seen some shiny Pan American bars that were legit. As soon as I saw the corners in the thumbnail though knew but good thing you checked and good to share.

I dont know who makes the cases that the fake bars are in. Tim's dealer let hm keep the fakes to educate others. Normally they will either refund the money or exchange for real bars. It was nice that he let Tim keep them. :-)
@ not sure what you mean. But most of their products come to fit a standard size of bar in 1oz or 10oz. Other bars don’t fit. Usually it will say what type of bar fits inside of em. Sadly they stopped making Scottsdale silver bar holders. Was only for stacker bars and allowed capsulated bars to still stack together.
@@The-Ant-Hillwatched the vid again in FF. that seems to be a standard case. Cases are used to protect and or display bars without worry of scratching the bars or causing tarnish. I listened while doing dishes so wasn’t sure if I missed something as for a display type of case.
I think you have about 30 days to catch it. EBay has excellent buyer protection, so you just click a couple buttons, and eBay will refund to you. If you wait too long though, then it's outside their return period.

I have used the Pocket Pinger to test bars. It works great.
i recently started to test bars with ping test. it takes a little getting used to, if you are already experienced with pinging rounds
Watched Tim's video on the Pan American. Great review of the fake bar Wins. Thanks for sharing! 😉✌🏻
Thanks Georgie!

I was shocked at how nice it was.
You could add a specific gravity test on another video.😊
I have never done that before. I should watch some videos on it.
ive seen a couple on you tube, and of course way back in chemistry and physics classes. modern scrappers and casters do specific grav tests too

Nice collectibles . . . Premiums are way too high for this stacker 😊
For sure! These are collectables, not for stacking. :-)
I’ve got a few of those A-mark bars.
They all have the same A0100 ‘serial number’
I think they are lot numbers. That would explain whey they are the same.

Canadian Timberwolves
all for 1 over spot on the sales

another silly indicator that its probably fake is on the APMEX bar it says "1 Troy Ounces" with an s on the end for plural (more than 1 ounce)
Yep. I point that out in the video. :-)
that 1983 bar was 30.00 new in 83
