Hope you all feel better soon; Jay, please consider building your relative's easy workshop piece and filming it for us. Those of us who are still beginners value an expert's work flow, tools, and tips. Thanks
I'll have to try an Astra coated bit next time I do a laminate countertop. I usually end up trashing a flush trim bit in a single project because the laminate material is abrasive and the glue gums up the bit and causes heat buildup.
Jay, it must’ve been a semi-regional issue then. I’m 2-3 hrs NE of you (Jasper, AL) and we got hit with flu, sinus infection, and something else that wasn’t “CoVID, strep, upper respiratory” over Christmas. Glad y’all are some better. Rest as much as you need. That’s how I got back to normal pretty quick.
I wish I had kids. Maybe you can get daughter at bench with small pieces to cut and hammer nails. A birdhouse using hand tools that is small enough for her to cut all the pieces herself.

I was wondering from the thumbnail where you got TiN coated bits.
