Wow! That was comprehensive. I have the little Oneida Super Cell for my small shop and it works great. When I "retire" and build an even bigger shop, this is the kind of information that will be useful! Thanks, Jay!
Hi Jay. I’m a relatively new viewer. I really enjoy your presentation style and you have worthwhile content. You are entertaining without a lot of gratuitous attempts at humour. As my granddaughter would say, “I love you more than a donut”. :)😂
I just want to say, thank you for elaborating on the static discharge myth. People freak out about that. and as someone in the high voltage field I can't say enough it's not an issue, and want to stop it! 🤘🏻
I have the 2hp HF dust collection system. Wish they made a upgrade to the motor alone to make it a bigger system, I’ll have to research that. Very informative video Jay!
Jay -- Thanks for this. I learned some things. One of those is using a stick to open and close blastgates that are up high. I use a stick for mine, too. But, I never thought of using magnets, so I always have to go searching for a stick whenever I want to open or close a gate.
Great video, and excellent explanation of all the previous systems and how you wanted to upgrade each time. Only question: What's with the 2 1/2 minute blackout ending? LOL
Started with a 2HP HF unit as well, then 2-staged it, and then got an Oneida V3000. I 100% would recommend at least a 5HP unit. Oneida talked me out of it, and I wish I would have went 5HP instead of 3HP. Also, metal ducting is amazing.
I just upgraded my 2hp Harbor Freight blower/Oneida Super Dust Deputy/Wynn Environmental filter system. I replaced the blower with a 220v/4hp(3kw) Record CamVac. What this does is turn my system into a high pressure/high volume system like the Oneida Supercell. The big advantage is the CamVac and the Oneida Super Dust Deputy cyclone are outside under a protected shed so the chips and dust are deposited outside into a barrel and the heat/ac is returned through a Merv-15 filter. Much less noise, over 230 square feet of filter and so much suction I can't close all the blast gates or it crushes my reinforced 35gal plastic barrel. I'm add a steel 55gal drum and a pop off valve.
One thing to know about mixing brands is that the couplers to shorten a duct section should be of the same brand. Nordfab to Nordfab, BlastgateCompany to BlastgateCompany, USDuct to USDuct. etc. Everything else should be "clamp and play".
Boy, someone at Carolina duct system messed up! Missed the boat. @19:45 LOLOL. I had to rewind it just to make sure I heard it right! LOL. Immediately flashed back to Meet the Parents. Stiller: Oh, you can milk just about anything with nipples. De Niro : have nipples, Greg, could you milk me? LOLOLOL And the brake line tip is genius. I'll grab some this weekend. TY!
Hey Jay! My only quibble? Have a nice day leaves too much to chance. Make it a great day. We have choices in life. 😉 Excellent video, Jay! Thank you for it!
Aw man... I kept watching all the way to the end, hoping for a Ferris Bueller "What you're still here" end clip.
Yeah, just a bit of shuffling about and going into a drawer. Maybe next time :)

the last few minutes 🤣 absolutely amazing, not so much to see but did have a guess the audio section.
I remember your early dust collection systems. Thanks for keeping us updated with the changes.

Great info! Thanks, Jay. Always a pleasure to learn something from you.
Fantastic, Jay! Really great system you've got there! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Great video recap Jay!

It seems your foresight is better than a lot of folks hindsight.

was that an asmr section at the end of the video?
Thanks for covering the “spontaneous combustion” myth. Hopefully more RUclipsrs can cover this idiotic myth and end this stupid nonsense
Stumpy nubs did as well
