I just bought this exact car, a 2020 model. A lot of bang for the buck, my wife loves it.
I just got the bright blue model. There have been upgrades to some of the components.
Push button start and auto lock on doors as you walk away.
Climate control is more advanced.
Sunroof.
Right side camera for bike Lanes.
Lane assist.
Auto breaking and distance.
I've only had it for a few hours, so I decided to look up videos.

The feature to automatically close the driver's window is a safety risk. I tried it at the dealer and the window would have hurt my arm if it was in the way. I tried to stop the window from closing, but it was too powerful. Imagine a child's arm!!
Many years ago a french car company (Peugeot ??) had this and the critics were upset about such a safety risk. I was very surprised to see this feature.

great car love it only 2 gripes the center console is a mess you find out if you have one. the other is the odometer being obstructed by the steering wheel if you adjust it at all. I mean even up and in it still covers the 60mph mark a little.
another feature is that if you turn the key once, then press the button near the speedometer the colour around the speedometer will change to any colour u want.

Honda should give this car 2.3l with v6 engine so that way it's barely enough to explore and have more fuel efficiency
So I bought this car in October someone crashed me against a wall ramp in the express way. I had minor, minor pain only in my left leg. Car kept me 99% alive. Strong car. I will definitely attribute that.
I meant 100% alive 😂 😬 whoops. By the 99 I meant that the pain and bruise in my leg hurt but the car completely knew how to keep me safe. And the grace of God

@S. D. H. mpg depends 100% on how you drive. My best was 42 mpg and worse was 24.

WAIT. In 2020 the HR-V will supposedly, most likely, be redesigned and brought up to specs with the more powerful Asian / European model, the Honda Vezel; also with more comfort options such as a panoramic sunroof.

@MikesCarInfo, what really makes me upset is that the Euro Spec 2019 HRV gets the following:
1) Manual transmission option
2) Panoramic glass roof option
3) Leather seating with manual
4) push button start, led front and rear, smoked tinted rear, navigation and most importantly
5) a 1.5 Vtec Turbo option for Spring 2019 I mean WTF HONDA?!?!
Thought about leasing an Encore if I can get one up from the base for under $200 a month with 0 down. Sat in a '15 (the ancient dash) the room was fine for 4 people.

Hi from the Uk. Found your review interesting as waiting for the Sport to arrive here. Currently we only have normally aspirated 1.5 ltr which is woefully underpowered. Not sure about those glossy black wheel arches. Think they will wear badly.

Great review! Solid car.... but personally I would save a little money and get the FWD if I wanted this particular car. Save on fuel economy and initial price, plus the fact that Honda’s AWD is laughable.
WesternSTi most of the Honda AWD systems are laughable. Fuelly is showing about 28 mpg average for fwd and awd.

The Sport, in Australia .. is called the HR-V RS .. and the gloss/piano black skirt is only available on this model ... I purchased one and all my lights are LED .. the headlights, and rest are LED .. it's keyless start ... full leather not fabric. .. you guys are being ripped off in the USA/Canada.

@@FlameHazeist Consumer Reports ranks the Encore above the Audi Q3 befoe the Q3 was redesigned recently. The Encore has been outselling the HR-V in the compact SUV sales. Plus turbocharged engine and longer warranty....

"Stash" means to put away or hide something. If you have trash or waste in your vehicle then you can "stash" it inside the bin or container. The "Trash Stash" is a waste bin or trash can for your vehicle.

not liking the new bulbous grill design. The new headlights are a heinous mess of angles & materials, just to try to create some family resemblance with the other models. The LED lights available in other markets would have been a sleeker choice. No more aux jack in the center bottom console. 2 USB sockets now instead. That new cupholder looks way too complicated, especially in the dark, and people with rings on will still get their hands jammed in it. Was hoping to see the Apple Carplay demonstrated; nope.
Is there a wheel lock?
Dealers might install them but they do not come with wheel locks from the factory.

Legroom in the back of the CH-R is laughable and cargo volume is 5.3 cu ft less unfolded and 22.4 cu ft less folded. It's also 390 lbs heavier and only 3 more horsepower... Honda wins with 1.4" more headroom 👌
