You wanna know something? I just love these scenes. Just the way Pietre walks back and forth, from place to place, with nearly no hesitation... (He only hesitates when he needs the person for something. Information, etc. And that one kid, for... reasons that would take too long to write.) The nonchalance of it... It's just so fascinating.
0:04 Crazy to think that if Grant just keeps quiet, they probably don't notice him and wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the manuscript. Pietre might even have accused Lee of shenanigans.
@TheSchleepingmoney I mean, would it though? Pietre is faster, more accurate, and is better at quickly dispatching multiple armed targets. Most of Chigurhs kills, while incredibly scary in their own right, aren't typically the most accurate. I personally believe if Chigurh and Pietre were to get into a 1 on 1 fight at equal footing, Pierre would headshot Chigurh in less than a second. I mean, dudes been killing long as he can remember. Must be like breathing to him.
His movement, face expressions, and even the cinematography and music, it's all done in such a way to make us realize he's not doing this with any sense, emotion, or even motive. He does it because from birth it's all he's been conditioned to do. UNTIL 1:37 where the hinges started falling off the complex machinery that was his mind, and bits of his humanity started coming back
Pietre's weapons: Browning Hi-Power (most likely a MK3) in nickel finish - uses it when killing Bejan, the CIA agent, and Alice's family Beretta 92FS - uses it in the school shooting SIG Sauer P226 - pulls it out of the toilet off-screen, uses it to kill the two Network agents in the car crash scene and keeps using it for the rest of season 2 (killing the SWAT team and Marius)
Arby is definitely one of the most interesting psychopaths in television. He does not look menacing, he is not the most skilled guy (Does not know martial arts or knife combat, things like that) He is not the most athletic nor smart man in the show and considering his background you can even say he is not a bad person, he is more like a failed experiment But he is still one of the deadliest characters in the show
My personal theory (headcannon) is that Philip tried to block any violence on pietre by covering his eyes the moment something violent happened and he just adapted it to his killlings instead of blocking out violence
@@JDFuckinB he does do it even at a distance multiple times (car crash, woman on the ground; the woman jessica threatens to electrocute). its not really a character trait. the actor flinched when shooting his weapon and they thought an emotionless disconnected killer wouldnt do that. so they came up with this and it luckily added to the character.

Why does Arby cover his face when shooting people? I initially thought it was to cover himself from the spatter but he does it at long distances almost as if its muscle memory.
I always thought it was a muscle memory thing, because he was trailed to kill from such a young age and they probably taught him the hand-shield thing as a tactical move at some point. If your holding a gun in your right hand and squint through the fingers of your left hand when its over your right eye(like he does in practically any scene where he shoots someone); it lines up with the sights of a pistol. It’s a pretty realistic expression as to how a parent would react when a child of their’s killed their own pet in a manner similar to that of a psychopath.

probably a budgetary/time related issue. some of the early kills and firefight scenes had some weird quirks (like the sound effect in the scene at 0:12) but it got better as the show went on

Most people consider the British version superior in most aspects, especially in visuals and music, which heavily differ from regular shows, with its blend of ultraviolence and vibrant colour scheme. It also has 2 whole seasons, which tie the whole plot together better
