I’m cheering for the oilers but it’s gonna be tough. For the sake of the season not ending, it would be great to see this go to 7…but I’m doubtful

The new Oilers are the better team with the better results. Since Knoblauch took over as the head coach they have really proven this to be true. I just don't like how they might run out of games to play. I'm still hopeful that will it all boil down to the final result. They will need to play with absolute resolve to get the winning streak to the Cup.

Oilers are game by game, but it is going to be who makes more mistakes, and who is able to capitalize on those mistakes more effectively, and who scores instead of hitting posts [luck]. Oilers are dangerous off the rush, it creates chances, but the Panthers are dangerous on that unrelenting forecheck, which causes unforced errors in defense.
We will find out just what the Oilers are made of in game 5! Not to mention the fact that I just want to see a game seven!!!

No team can replicate what the great 1942 Leafs did. That team has 6 players in the HHOF. McDavid will be the HHOF even without a cup, he's that good.
The Oilers have out-shot and out-played the Panthers 3 out of the 4 games so far, sunk only by their own stupid mistakes, and a goalie who STILL shows a tendency to not have his head in the game at the worst possible times. So is it realistic to think there's a real chance they could pull it off? Given those realities I'd say yes, more than other teams who've been in this situation.
The question is whether or not they can fire on all cylinders for three games in a row. They haven't shown that ability yet. Not in the playoffs.
Cats are in retreat while the oilers have all the momentum they need to win the cup.

If Draisaitl comes alive like in a volcanic way and they win game 5, they have a shot to repeat what the 42 leafs did when they lost the first 3 games of their stanley cup finals, then came back to win 4 straight. Only time its been done in 28 similar scenarios (losing the first 3 games ). I think they can do it.
