Wish we had a good reason why FCA, Chrysler does not put cabin filters in vehicles. Goes back to at lease 2006 as far as I know. Did you strech your Mega to a long bed? I keep watching a section of the video and it looks like a long bed?
Hey thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it. Crazy isn’t it. Now they do come with filters. I think at 2018 or 19. They have them. I can’t understand why they didn’t before either. Biggest disappointment. No it’s stock length. I’ve seen those though. Crazy long. Company in Utah right that has done that? I love my truck though. Great purchase.
@@davidbryanwoodworksandmore Sure thing. I'm going to have to check out a few more of your videos. I just checked my 2018 and it does have one. After seeing the space that sure was not fun for you to cut it out. That is perfect color you have too. Yes a few companies do it and quite a few body shops will too. Stretch My Truck in SLC is the most well known. I plan to do mine in a few months but cant decide to have them do it or buy the kit and have my local body shop do it. They sure are nice.
@@hillsautohome346 yes you are lucky with your 18. But I guess it’s not that big of a deal to do. I just never new but it was always thinking the air quality in the truck wasn’t good. And then I realized I didn’t have one. So funny how things work. Good luck with your stretch. I think it’s a really amazing thing they do to modify trucks. I guess it would void warranty if you have one still. Right?
@@davidbryanwoodworksandmore We are on the same page with the air filter for sure. Not hard to do but something that should have been done from the factory. Glad you have clean and more dust free air now! In speaking with the company in SLC about the stretch they claim that no dealer has ever voided a customers powertrain warranty with modification. I did speak with my local dealer about it and they said they would not void it for that or even if a few exhaust parts happen to fall off.
I love your cover at Rincon,I have a 2016 Ram 2500,was wondering about a cabin air filter, after watching this vid,I removed my lower glove box,low and behold the cover for the air filter is there but there was no filter inside,so I ordered the filter,Thanks for the Video, well done 👍👍
Thanks a lot for sharing. I wonder if you bought your truck used? Maybe someone else put in the door? Very interesting in any case. It’s good to have the filter in place. It makes a big difference. Also so crazy how you knew the cover photo place. Not one other person knew it. Nice job.
@@davidbryanwoodworksandmore Yes sir,I have been going to Rincon for the past 15 yrs,Love it,as for the cabin air filter from what I understand the early 2016 Ram had no filter, late 2016 has air filter,I purchased my 2016 ram new in FEB.of 2017.👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing this video .i also have a 2016 ram 1500 sport with no filter, i bought it in 2020 . Which the previous owe didn't look for or try to change the filter. Now i have to cut it out just like how you did. This is crazy that it didn't come with a filter .Hope i can get cut .
@@keemcieto1455 hey your welcome. If I helped just one person with this, that would be great, but it looks like many of ram owners have been helped with this issue. It’s a very hard thing to video fir sure. And I did my best. It’s very doable if you have a cutting tool. The nice thing about the tool I used is that it doesn’t shoot the plastic everywhere while cutting. Cause it can get into the air chamber and you’ll have to clean it out with vacuum.
I can't understand o maybe I can they should have already had that done. My ram got so musky smell all at once it had me wheezing. WHAT aRiip Ram. $$$ hungry POS

Does your truck have the dirty cabin filter when you cut it open?
There wasn’t anything that I saw in there. Why? Yours?
