When I was watching the season there was no way I believe Sicada was the main villain because he wasn’t as good as the previous villains. Totally the reverse flash of the CW is pretty tame even the Matt lechner version it's not bad or anything but the comic book version is much more sadistic and cruel erasing Barry's childhood friend breaking his arm when he was a child by tripping him down the stairs making his dog get hit by a car when he opened the door to let it out brutally beating Wally West in rebirth he manipulates captain boomerang to release him in exchange for information he just called him a cockroach says he's nothing and leaves and then all the rogues are pissed at him for letting reverse flash out but my favourite moment I'd say with the reverse flash in comics is when his future self erases his brother from existence because he was a science cop I think i can't remember future police but reverse flash was doing illegal research on the speed force and his brother was gonna stop him but the most cruel thing he did was when he was professor of studying the speed falls and was being interviewed by a journalist or news reporter and eobard developed a crush on her and wanted to go out with her but she was seeing somebody thorns futureself erase the boyfriend from the timeline now she's available but she isn't interested in the reverse flash so his future self traumatised is her at the age of 6 to the point where she hasn't said a word in over a decade and she's in hospital where she is being cared for I'd love to see Matt lechners version of the reverse flash to return I really want to see the shows interpretation of his origins but I'd also love to see Matt lechner and Tom cavanagh both on-screen in the same episode as the reverse-flash

I love that after the dagger fades and he gets his power back he almost immediatly starts de-aging to what his physical age actually would be. You can even see his hair turning fully black before the cut between clips.
It is quite fascinating to see that a connection to the (negative) speedforce affects your metabolism to the point that Thawne (who'd be in his 60's by then) looks again like he's in his late 30's to early 40's. Speedster metabolism is something else.

Say what you will about Season 5 of this show, but Thawne's appearances don't disappoint. He is so manipulative and intelligent, and he has such a mastery over his powers. Time and time again he has shown that he is not one to be taken lightly. He is evil, but his abilities are very cool.

I still think we will get some version of the tornado twins. We know that a new timeline exists and Nora was erased. Plus we’ve gotten a few twin hints during the season. Plus the producer said the actress who plays Nora could definitely come back for season 6. So maybe her name will still be Nora and now she will have a brother named Don.

Say what you will about Season 5 of this show, but Thawne's appearances don't disappoint. He is so manipulative and intelligent, and he has such a mastery over his powers. Time and time again he has shown that he is not one to be taken lightly. He is evil, but his abilities are very cool.
I love the fact that while RF isn’t the fastest speedster, his intelligence and knowledge of the speed force more than makes up for it.

Thawne in general is a great villain. Thawne being played by Cavanagh is a gift that keeps on giving.
