    Thanks for your videos, I'm new in remote control boats, I've learned a lot with you, I'm from Puerto Rico, my father is also a boat mechanic, my grandfather fisherman, my whole life I've been working on boats, I've been working on a 10-foot catamaran with a Yamaha 40 running 52 miles, I competed in several races, I love boat competition, moved to America and started with remote control boats, thanks for your videos.

      I use to work charter boats, offshore sport fishing everything from inshore bottom fishing to off shore deep dropping, trolling inshore & off shore, king mackerel wahoo black fin tuna, mahi mahi,, sailfish the whole nine. I worked the fishing boats 12 -13 years of my life, I use to fish bass & catfish tournaments had to basically quite fishing when I started a family, to much time away for home type deal so I started tinkering with rc boats about 7 years ago and haven't looked back! Thanks for watching brother..

    Big B, you can repeat yourself all you want. You have no idea, at all, how you have helped me, as a new ro RC boats owner.
    I have done up my V2, cooling etc. Just got mad Lizzard parts in, tfl stinger on the way Saturday.
    And then the smart firma esc will go in. Because I wat the telemetry, and of course the new ruggart radio.
    I replaced the UL 19 esc with a Raider, love it. And yes I know, the ferma is about 150 more.
    Looking forward to other upgrades on the Veles 29, as that is my next boat!
    And thanks again for the honorable mention on your video for the donation I sent in.

    Whenever I put my boat away for any length of time, I flush the cooling system. On one ESC, I found a fair amount of corrosion on the inside where the water goes through. The connecting pipes are brass and the body of the ESC is aluminium - and when water goes through, corrosion starts. I take off inlet hose, spray some WD40 in, and blow it through. Love the taste of WD40!

    Mate, I see so much of myself in you when you talk of being old school. I too am not interested in computer based tech, and nor am I the most educated or eloquent. To put it another way B, you do a damn fine job with your videos, I wouldn't have a clue how to start a channel so good on your wife for pushing you to create content. One slight point though, when you talk of gaining knowledge from 1 to 1 boats I totally agree with what you mean, but don't forget the crazy non scale speeds our RCs can run at, so the dynamics are at times non comparable with full scale boats.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 года назад

      I agree 100% about the scale to speed ratio. That being said I've read alot of articles & research done for 1:1 boats scientific types studies that have really helped my understanding of how water reacts to a hull at high speeds. Its actuality quite interesting.

    Hello from the UK! Mr Ironclad. This is my 3rd RC boat after a brilliant volantex SR65 Br mono hull and a not so brilliant Volantex SR85 Cat which I've had loads of issues with so far bringing me to buying the Veles.
    Could you help me with my Veles. I notice motor bracket is skewed a bit in the right direction, I think it's not straight and the flex shaft is little bit bending out of the box. A bit scary I haven't run it yet. Should I be worried as loads of people have had flex shaft breaking anyway.

They list a Dual outlet rudder kit 4 pickups UL110K, and Flex shaft upgrade kit which is 3/16 PB335K. What's the difference between these and the ose ones ? OH another important thing I wanted to ask you. I have a Hobbywing 120A new for one of my other volantex boats, it came with a blue program card. I won't buy another thing from Ogden Marine. I seen a video of him bragging about his 100% negative feedback rejection. So in other words if you have a problem with one of his products he's going to ignore you. He has a prop listed on eBay as a 4519 with a 1.4 pitch. I see it as it should have a 1.9 pitch. And he's arrogant enough to ignore negative feedback
