Thank you so much for doing this series of videos. Self taught reloader and I never would've thought to maintenance the dies themselves. Was about to throw the whole press into the recycling bin. Kept having issues with decapping/resize die jamming up the whole press. Still not running 100% smooth, but much better. Thank you again for passing down this knowledge!

Thanks for the videos, wouldn't it make sense to install an empty dieplate, run the carrier up and align the indexed shellplate with the holes so the cases feed in the dies straight?

It wouild be nice to actgually see you reload on the press. You explain how to tweak the press but you never actually reload a round. Demonstrate what you're talking about.. Also, do you really need a saparete press for each caliber? Poppy in the out outhouse.

If I've set the alignment as you've described in the video and it indexes appropriately, and the brass will not line up with the dies in the turret, what could be the cause? I've already inspected to be sure my turret wasn't one tooth off, and even swapped turrets in case it wasn't right. The only way I can get the brass to line up is if I adjust the timing to a point where the index rod no longer contacts the press.

Have you watched all 5 or 6 videos on trouble shooting. If you follow all 5 video's it will work like butter. With that said, you still need to know what to do when you have the different issues. If you have the press set up correctly, you should be able to pull the handle down with 1 finger. I re-load 3 days a week. Most of the time that the brass doesn't line up is due to only making half strokes on your handle. Make sure your making a full stroke. Next thing to check is the nut on top of your die plate. Sorry, I have around 200 video's, wish I could remember which one to watch.

@@Harleychromeman I've watched the series you posted twice now lol. My index rod looks a bit wore on the end, and I suppose that could be causing a short stroke on the shell plate because I don't like much to be lined up.

@@Harleychromeman to be clear, there is no adjustment on the turret?
And the only adjusting you should ever have to do is on the timing of the ram?

Coffee lids are from folgers containers. I need to try and find my receipt for the wrench, I bought it about 10 years ago. I haven't seen another one for sales for few years. I will try and have this information in my next video. Thanks for stopping by my channel, I love the sport. Feel free anytime to ask question or just to talk about reloading. My wife and I shoot about 1000 rounds per week. Good Shooting my Friend

Good Question, only purpose it help to line up your case when installing the primers. Believe it or not it does help to get the primer installed flush and center. Good Shooting my Friend
