Worth the wait😀Excellent image James! 40rs, that’s dedication, wish I could get some 40hr images!! Great tutorial, thanks for sharing 👍 Clear skies!

Wow! I haven't done a mosaic and I have a camera rotator. My next project with the Pleides. Thanks for the demonstration

Excellent James definitely a favorite target of mine, it'll be good to see the comparison between bin 1 & bin 2 images.

You know I never saw it that way of the 3 dimensions, but if you do look at it, it does make sense! Some amazing work you have James.

Excellent image and workflow James. Interesting thoughts regarding the spherical structure of the nebula, it can be difficult to visualise the true shape of celestial objects as we only ever really see them in two dimensions.

Thanks Pete! That 3d simulation of M42 that used hubble data is what I'm thinking of. Hopefully we get more of those.

I really liked this image James and I hear you with trying to decide on how red or blue in these HOO images its almost like its too binary for our Astro brains:) Super image. Also these gradients in mosaics, APP does have some tools when integrating to help with that although no real substitute for those less moon filled skies. I only just got away with a Orion / Horsehead mosaic after many hours of trying to fix the join. Very nicely processed. Clear skies bud.

Agreed, HOO is too binary... but I see some of these other HOO images done by exceptional astrophotographers and their images look great. I need to figure out how they are doing it.
I tried APP twice.. too separate trials and I just wasn't satisfied with the mosaic results. It merged the panels fine.. no panel lines.. but when zooming out from afar, the difference in the panels was too noticeable.. especially with the stars removed. I know a lot of people swear by it but I couldn't get it to work.

Great image James! I’ve had varying results with mosaics. Probably because I’ve just imaged with various moon stages so the panels are very hard to hide the stitch. I’ll check your mosaic video as I haven’t tried your workflow yet.
