I have had KP most of my life. Thanks to watching you and the things you have recommended, it is so miniscule now. The Eucerin oil wash along with Eucerin Advanced Repair, along with another Retinol lotion you have recommended, have made all the difference. I don't have particularly dry feet, but I've been using the Gold Bond Softening Foot Cream for my feet and a particularly stubborn elbow, I don't have to exfoliate my heels anymore! I've also had horrid maskne when I've never had any kind of acne before (it's likely because I have an autoimmune disease, and how that effects yeast and bacteria on my face). I've been using a zinc soap you recommended as needed (because it is rough on my sensitive skin) which has completely cleared it up. I also found some silicone patches to wear under masks that I think you'd approve of, to avoid the problem all together! The combo of CeraVe face lotion you've recommended, the zinc soap, and also the tinted CeraVe sunscreen you've recommended have also helped me to avoid maskne. 100% agree. My skin is so oily yet very sensitive and I get dry patches easily. Especially on my cheeks. I typically put the Cerve Vaseline on my dry patches at night and it improves significantly by morning.
I used to use cerave for years. The cream and lotion one. But I started to notice that the cream causes black heads? also, the lotion one lives me a bit dehydrated. Whats up with that?
You should make more drugstore videos for people with dry skin like me who can't afford high end products. My skin is SUPER, SUPER dry and I never know what to purchase when I go to places like WalMart or CVS. Thanks!
I'm wondering why Cerave doesn't work for me. Everyone swears by it but I feel like it breaks me out and my skin doesn't feel moistured after using it. I have oily dry skin.
Dimethicone TOTALLY plugs my pores. It's sad because I do like the blurring effects and the lack of greasy feeling. But my pores clog like crazy with that stuff, and the last thing I need is to have my pores filled and stretched with that gunk. It's a disservice to say that it works well for everyone, because IT DOESN'T.
I have actually been mixing the NMF from TO, and the Cerave baby lotion as my night time moisturizer for several years now, and my 59 yo skin loves it! I use the Elf Holy Hydration Face Cream (unscented) during the day for the peptides💖 I also keep a large tub with a pump of Vanicream on my bedside table for the face and body!
I tried new night cream 2 nights ago and I had an allergic reaction. My eyes were almost swollen shut and I have a chem burn. I'm on 20 mg of prednisone and burn cream. Looks like it's back to cerave night cream when my face is normal. Lol.
I have dry and spot prone skin and cerave is great. It’s interesting you mentioned petroleum and dimethicone because they are both in the moisturiser I use when I have dermatitis/eczema. A cream called Aveeno skin relief moisturising lotion. Really works well.

Unfortunately Cerave is not moisturizing enough for my skin while on tret. I suspect it has to do with the sodium hyaluronate that just sucks the moisture from my skin. I do use it on my body, though.
Dr Dray, my 25 year old son is currently going through stem cell therapy & chemotherapy for Testicular cancer. He has been in the hospital for the last 3 weeks. He'll come home soon for 4 days then he'll return to the hospital for Course #2 and be there for another 3+ weeks. He currently has a lot of back acne, from the extreme chemotherapy (and obviously laying in a hospital bed for the last 3 weeks isn't helping!) They don't have any whiteheads or anything they are just darker than his skin. Can you recommend any products etc I can get him to help? Please advise!! THANK YOU!
Hi! First of all, I hope the your son's treatment is going well! Second, I have absolutely no medical degree, so my recommendation is to actually go to a derm before he goes back for in patient chemo. In the meantime, maybe use sulfur soap or benzoyl peroxide wash? They're both antibacterial (and sulfur soap is also anti fungal). They're both drying ingredients but they're as effective used as wash off mask/treatment and better tolerated, especially as I heard that chemo dries out your skin.
Eucerin Roughness Relief Cream shares the same exact ingredients list with the 3oz tube of Eucerin Advanced Repair Foot Cream! I'm guessing it's the same formula just marketed and packaged differently. Very reassuring to discover this bc reviewers for the foot cream have mentioned using the product on their face and I've always wondered if that was wise. Quite frankly, I'm glad I have the smaller size bc it's easier to travel with and store away. However, I've seen that large tub in nearly all drugstores and that's reassuring bc the foot cream is hard to find. Glad to know this formulation is here to stay!

This may be a repeated comment, but I value your skincare reviews above all other dermatologists because you don’t have a product line you’re trying to move. I appreciate your valuable content and showing us that sometimes the better value is the bargain from the drugstore. Nice production upgrades, btw. You look great. 🌷
I have been using Vaseline to remove my waterproof mascara since I was 14, 40yrs almost and I wouldn't use anything else, people say they are afraid to use it and should ask a dermatologist if it's ok, I couldn't give a shit what the dermatologists say as I think I know more about it than they do and it's a must have for the house and you can get the small tins for your lips and they have small tubs and you don't need to worry about having to stay over and not be able to get your mascara off, I was in one of those expensive make up stalls years ago and the girl behind the counter was trying to sell an expensive waterproof mascara cleaner and told her how good it is and I overheard and told the girl not to be listening to that bs as I was using vaseline for years and I stopped one time and used J&J baby oil/lotion that was supposed to be great and it gave me a rash under both my eyes, I used it on my kids when they were babies and they never got nappy rash. There is nothing that would convince me to change and a big tub lasts a long time and I disagree with any dermatologist who says different and actually ask them to prove it and there's nothing it can't be used for.☘☘🤗
I developed an allergy to petrolatum. When I use it, it feels like my skin is on fire. Also some variations of vaseline do have other ingredients, like fragrance.

I appreciate your valuable content and showing us that sometimes the better value is the bargain from the drugstore. Nice production upgrades, btw. You look great. 🌷
If I use Mineral oil can I usw the Oil you put on Wood??
There is nothing that would convince me to change and a big tub lasts a long time and I disagree with any dermatologist who says different and actually ask them to prove it and there's nothing it can't be used for.☘☘🤗
Yay, 1.2M. You deserve more
I developed an allergy to petrolatum. When I use it, it feels like my skin is on fire. Also some variations of vaseline do have other ingredients, like fragrance.
Happy Friday!
Happy Friday
Thank You!! Happy Friday to You Too!! Have a Great Day!!
WoW?! I'm in awe...😱😃 not content related but I just want to share this moment that I had just now...☺
Dr. Dray, I am not sure if you were able to track your subscribers but I am one of the first people that followed you when you were just starting maybe less than a 1k subscribers at that time. The last time I check your number of your subscribers was probably when you had about 600k but now, I am surprised! You have 1M!!!🤗🎊👍👏 Sorry, I wasn't able to notice it 'coz I focused more of your content. I just kind of check again this time the # of your sub. and I was really surprised! Soo happy for you...🤗 You know why? You cater to the everyone most esp. you tackle skin care products that have reasonable price and easy to find in the drugstore or otc. You're sharing your skin care knowledge and expertise by educating us and making more easy for us to understand. That we don't really have to buy those expensive and the "hype" ones due to marketing strategies. That's why the first time I have watched you, I was sold!😅☺🤭 Keep it up!👍
Please can you talk about suncream in relation to studies that say ‘suncream is toxic’, ‘suncream causes cancer’.
Since watching your videos I have made such an effort to protect my skin from the sun. But I’ve come across articles that argue suncream is toxic. I feel confused 😖
Hi Dr.Dray, what can we use to prevent keratin plugs? I use prescription retinol but it doesn't seem to be helping
Your hair looks glorious!
Thanks
I would LOVE to KNOW what PRODUCT you USE for that GLOWING look!
Am I the only one who has combo skin but loves nourishing thick moisturizers at night??
Great video, packed with information, thanks Dr. Dray! Love the pink T-shirt, lovely on you. 😊
I had no idea urea would help dry, brittle nails! Time to return to my old love, that OG Eucerin!!
Omg happy Friday bestie, perfect video! I’ve been trying TSW so I’ve been needing something like this!
Could you do a video on the best lotions for children? I have two, I want to help with the dry skin and make sure it’s good clean ingredients!
Hi Dr Dray ☀️can you please suggest what to do for the under eye volume loss?
See my dark circles videos
That would be interesting since a lot of people ask about it. Most treatments I've seen involve some sort of surgery.
CeraVe moisturizer and moisturizing wash broke me harsh badly, it’s too heavy for the skin. But good for body care
Can a 2 year old child use Cerave?
I can only get my hands on Cerave Sa.. is this also ok for dry skin like KP? Thank you for all your informative videos!
When I was young I would put on a lite moisturizer & petroleum on top. (At night). My skin is so dry & when I woke up it had penetrated in my skin or least it felt that way, no stickiness. Ty for your time & giving great tips
I was so excited to try Cera ve because it comes so highly recommended by you. I was at my mom's and my skin was dry and itchy. I slathered it all over and it broke me out in a rash of little white bumps
Did you put it on damp skin after bathing? That is the way to use it, and probably not slather.
