Yea, I was just telling Will 1776, that it is a good time of year and the prices are better around here than in Texas, and just not being at work was great!
scarry prices :( Last weekend in Jenks doing some garage sailing I picked up an a big american made 8" C clamp with intact foot pad, a Proto extension and a nice old large rubber headed mallet for $5.
It is a good time of year to get out and find some deals, sounds like you scored, the prices around here are better than what I saw in Texas, but it was nice to get away from work, seems like all I work for any more is bills and health care!
You can definitely find good deals at first Monday from time to time. But normally I have found everybody's prices to be a little high. Good way to kill a day and spend time with your loved ones. Possibility that you might not be too far for me.
Southwest Oklahoma, Chickasha, yea prices have seemed to have gone up in the last couple of times we have been, my prices around me locally are still very reasonable, my wife likes going there, cannot say no to a woman that has risk her life for mine several times!!!!!!!!!
Well on one that I did I rubbed boiled linseed oil on it every day for 6 days, then I rubbed it in once a week for 3 weeks, now I will rub just the head once a year on my birthday month, I do all wood handle tools that way once a year, now this one was really dry and was on the verge of ruin but it seems to have worked.
@@djstoolrestorations Linseed: good choice. I do vintage knife restos and on wood handles I try to soak them overnight in mineral oil (if I can fit them in a small enough container. If I was doing axe (or hatchet/hammer) hammers I'd look for a length of PVC of workable width as a soaking container. I assume linseed is as re-usable as my mineral oil is. Keep up the good work.
Nice buys. Thanks for sharing the booth video.
Thanks, I think it is nice to see what is out there in other areas.
The video from the show is pretty cool. The booth with the steel targets was interesting.
Yea he said he was going to make more different types of targets.
Good finds, the Wizard Ratchet is a Real Gem!
Yea, can not wait to clean it up and make it look nice!
I went to Canton in the 80's. I guess it's still going strong. Some nice finds.
Thank you!
I wonder what the difference is between the Irwin screwdriver and a perfect handle screwdriver?
I as far as I can tell nothing!
Looks like you had a good trip, the yard and garage sales are going strong around me, time to get out and deal with people.
