That vise is awesome! Never seen one before. Also, I've been to several yard sales lately and they must think the tools are made of gold! One guy wanted $20 for a Craftsman 1/4 drive ratchet!!! He actually got insulted when I put it down and walked away! Thanks for sharing! Can't wait for the restorations to begin...
I have run into a couple like that too, I did ask one gentleman how he got his prices and he told me Ebay, I did tell him his prices were too high and he would not negotiate, I did find out later he had not sold much, and the reason I know is I know a thrift store owner tried to buy him out at the end of his sale and the thrift store owner told him the same thing his prices were to high!
Wife and I always go to canton Texas end of October first of November. Normally Thursday and Sunday are the best days to find best stuff and Sunday you get best deals. The outside garage sale like vendors you get best deals.
Sucks the prices were high, but some decent pickups there. Thanks for the video as usual. Always look forward to them. Have a good night 🤝 I like that Ford wrench. Nice find! Been trying to find myself one but no luck around here
@@djstoolrestorations yea I usually hit up ebay when absolutely needed but paying shipping sucks. But sometimes you just have to. It's where I found my awesome oil can
If you are happy with the vise, then it was worth it. The Dino pliers are probably Eagle Claw carriage bolt pliers. I've been doing okay at estate sales.
I made a 13 hour trip from Georgia to the Jack Town steam show and flea market in Bangor Pa last weekend and the prices were ridiculous there too. My nephew went with me and picked up a small MAC phillips screwdriver marked $5 and all he had in his pocket was $4 and the guy wouldn't budge a dollar. It was a great experience and i have a sister about an hour away so it was worth the trip but the prices were crazy on a lot of stuff. I do a lot better at my local pawn shops and flea markets here in Georgia.
@@djstoolrestorations yes sir. I agree. I do better at pawn shops and flea markets but i was in the area taking care of family business so i made the trip. I did manage to find some decent deals on a few tools

I particularly like the Dinosaur Pliers and also I'm interested why those other pliers feel light.
I will make a video on them soon!
Looking forward to seeing the restoration on all of them. I know it will all shine when your done. Thanks DJ
Thanks 👍
I think those are called “leg vise”. Not pole vise. I might be wrong but I think these are Typically mounted on the leg of a workbench
Peg leg vise, pole vise, leg vise and black smith vise, I think there is more names too!

Awesome post vise! I just posted a video showing 2 I recently picked up. An antique one and a new one.

I seem to do better at local pawn shops and flea markets myself too, I think it is the contacts with the same people that helps!

@@ivanstiles7030 He, sorry for the delay in my response to your comment, I have had to work a lot lately!
@@djstoolrestorations no problem DJ. I completely understand, Bills come first.
Both the Husky and Blackhawk rachets appear to be New Britain.
