This is pretty much the first time Ganondorf appeared after the release of Skyward Sword, so its fun to finally see a hint at the connection to his previous reincarnation
I didn't think about that but you're right, this IS the first mainline Ganondorf we have seen since Skyward Sword.
More like after Twilight Princess.
@@yokkykuma They mean in relation to the lore - TP released before SS - so there was no Demise for it to make reference to when it was released. TOTK is the first mainline Zelda game to feature Ganondorf since SS - so unlike TP it can reference his connection to the character Demise.
@@yokkykuma you know the vibes!!💯
@@RG-Zeldaplayer but ss lore wise is the first and also demise isn’t ganondorf but the curse demise set is.
When I did the "Proving Grounds: Flow" shrine, nothing felt as satisfying than yanking the rafts out from under the Constructs and watching them fall into the drink.
Also chucking Muddle Buds from the crow's nest to let the enemies take care of each other on the boat was so fun to watch. It took a long time, but the show and chaos that ensued was well worth it.
i love that when Dee seen Demon King Ganondorf via a trailer. he thought nothing of it
now he sees him and made the same connection we all did. Demise
I didn't realize that transformation was supposed to look like Demise, but that may be because Demise already looked a lot like Ganondorf.
Tbf this is technically the first Ganondorf…meaning it’s most likely going to look the most similar to demise…and the other incarnations start to fall farther from looking like demise
@@SuperPrestogamerI think this version of Ganondorf is the source of all the other incarnations of Ganon we see in OOT, TP and the other Zelda games the gloom leaking out of the corpse of Ganondorf is forming other reincarnations of Ganon to bring ruin to the kingdom just to break his seal
@@SuperPrestogamer I buy more into the re-founding theory, meaning there were pre-BOTW games, then Hyrule disappeared, then the Zonai came and Rauru founded a new Hyrule, then TOTK/BOTW. Fujibayashi said that was a possibility without confirming. That would mean this Ganondorf is yet another incarnation specific to this iteration of Hyrule.
Watching him use colgera's jaw like a scythe to harvest grains really had me rolling lol
Edit: Also just noticed he's using the dragon scales on his shield. DEEBEEGEEK THE MAN THAT YOU ARE LOL
I've always found it hilarious that the Secret Stone had to grow just to fit on Ganondorf's forehead
The reason the Secret Stone changed its color is Because the Secret Stones dont house the Elements in them, they just amplify the Element that is inside its host. Rauru's Element is Light, so his Light Powers gets amplified and on his Stone appeara the symbol for light, Sonja has powers over time, so her time powers get increased, Ganondorf's Element is Darkness, so his powers of Darkness get increased. And the reason the stone changes its color and its Symbol is Because that is his Element: Darkness
Edit: Here a short Correction:
Sonja wasn't back-stabbed, she was warlock punched
Do you think his powers come from the one Kotake and Koume wields? It would make sense since the surrogate mothers of Ganondorf taught him the most vile magic since before the beginning of the Imprisoning War. Combining t the Sacred Stone with Kotake and Koume‘s magic may be the reason the Master Sword is damaged.
@@a.jthomas6132totk plays long after oot... this ganondort in totk doesn't have anything to do with the twins. And the dark power was always in every ganondorf bc he has the power from demise, bc every ganondorf is a reincarnation from demise himself
@a.jthomas6132 funny thing is that maybe the gems on their heads _are_ secret stones that amplified their fire and ice magic respectively. At the very least they might have been a modified ruby and sapphire to act similarly. Fusing together seemed to be their answer to increasing their powers beyond their individual limits, unlike ganondorf who was desperate and dumb enough to not care if his body could handle more power. For them fusing was likely out of safety and necessity so they could handle the power increase. They weren't dumb enough to ingest magical/magic infused stones.
@@a.jthomas6132
The thing is every of the three different incarnations of Ganondorf that canonically exist have magic abilities, yet only Ocarina of Time (and maybe Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf) had Koume and Kotake to teach him Magic, the Four Swords Adventures Ganondorf is said to be born with special powers yet not raised to be evil, he became evil all on his own.
I rather assume Koume and Kotake are just Teachers to him showing him how to use these powers, but the Origen of His Power might be because of the Curse of the Demon Tribe casted by Demise.
And the Master Sword is immune to any type of dark magic according to the (Japanese) A Link to the Past Manual, yet in the same Game and in its Sequel A Link Between Worlds you can give it to Weapon Smiths and they'll make it sharper for you.
This implies that the Master Sword, despite its resistance to evil and dark magic, is not immune to physics and Therefore probably made of perishable materials.
And since the Master Sword is not the only weapon that decayed from Gloom, I rather assume Gloom is not entirely magic, it is in high Concentrations an acid-like Substance that decomposes literally anything, Flesh, Bones, Wood, Rock, Metal....... Anything will be destroyed (almost) instantly
(If you meet Ganondorf in Person then beware of some of his attacks, they can literally annihalate every Weapon and Shield in your Inventory, even the Allmighty Hylia Shield will stand no chance against his Gloom)
@@Justin-kingoTrue! Except, this Ganondorf also has a Koume and Kotake. There are two gerudo with him in the throne room memory with matching colors, and the gloom weapons have their names inscribed on them
"This guy showed up and took out every monster by himself!"
Tulin:😐
the amount of times this man forgets about recall is incomprehensible!
The way he is solving the shrines has me rolling!
I highly recommend watching TehCactusPlant as well, he makes it a sport to make shrines as complicated as possible, it's hilarious!
Here’s a tip, just think of the part leading to the Rauru’s Blessing shrine as the puzzle you are solving. Not the Shrine itself which is just the ending.
For some of them, sure. Others are out in the open and still only have a Blessing. The game has a weirdly large amount of Blessings shrines, to the point that they are excessive
BOTW let you become OP quickly, TOTK also makes skipping entire areas very convenient, unfortunately I've just stumbled upon blessing shrines and wondered what the puzzle was...
ah its so good to hear constro's voice again screaming to the others to get link😂
It honestly fits so well. I would love to know where he does all the voices in these videos!
0:36
Oh buddy, that was a thing in BOTW too...
Yeah I used to clear fields with the master sword beam just to see critters spawn from them 😅
As always thank you for your videos, enjoy following along with your TOTK experience. Matt Mercer is killing it as Gannondorf.
Running out of arrows is the reason you should open every crate you find. I’ve gotten over700 arrows just from boxes and crates.
It really is a lot easier to get arrows in this one than BotW.
"Just a bit of Engin-uity" is totally cleverspeak for the DeeBeeWay 💚
Somebody teach this man puffshrooms and muddlebuds
The crystal saga had me crying
He seems to dislike using rewind to get falling stuff back to him XD
I was shocked when he used Ultrahand to wiggle the crystal off the platform, then DEACTIVATED the ability in order to manually carry the crystal. Talk about making things hard for yourself!
"Purah, here i come"
Was my honest reaction too 😭
38:10 - I love how Deebs forgets he could use Ultrahand to move it there with ease!
Hey I just discovered you through your Wind Waker playthrough, I basically immediately subscribed! So much fun. You and your editor are awesome, can't wait to see more of TOTK and I'm going to watch your other playthroughs. You got a real talent for entertainment !!
Ganondorf looks so scary and fucking badass in his Demon King form! 🔥
A good combination of Demise’s appearance and the Oni samurai looks (only in his kimono outfit).👑 😈
When he's gets disappointed because of Rauru's Blessing shrines tho. 😭He loves solving the shrines! 😂Which is a good thing of course!
I'm at the point where I'm like "oh thank god 😩" when I walk into a Rauru's Blessing shrine.
Such a fantastic and 'fancy' episode, DeeBee! Great work on making progress. I really enjoy the live streams and then to come back to these edited episodes. And great job on the voice-acting shenanigans and editing, Torque, ya big ledge bag! 💜Community Love 💜
12:12 that was a BEAUTIFUL cut.
The mirror shield throwback in that shrine got me too. Had so much fun in there!
The voice acting for the constructs is such a cool idea and it's really good too!
Technically, Ganondorf is the reincarnation of Demise’s wrath and hatred.
Yes, when looking at the Japanese Text Denise claims this not to be his curse but the curse of the Demon Tribe, he basically sees himself as the absolute evil and in every evil creature and in every demon his hatred is inside, Demise sees himself basically as the Representative of the Whole Demon Tribe, similar to Darth Sidious saying "I am all the sith" with the Difference being that Demise potrayed it in Japanese is way more interesting and way more meaningful.
It can be assumed that in all of the Main Villains in Zelda is that Curse of the Demon Tribe (except Zant, he never is a Demon despite Ganondorf granting him Power)
And no other villain resembles Demise more than Ganon since Ganon's very purpose of his existance is his role as Hyrule's Anti-Christ
@@Chris-gx1eiwhere did you get lore on the demon tribe?
It’s also ashamed that the game lacks in depth to his character.
@@Chris-gx1eibasically Demise is Satan of the Zelda series and Ganondorf is the ain’t-Christ of the series
@@Chris-gx1eiwhy doesn’t many people know about this? It’s weird everyone is going by the American version of the lore
I can't believe as new parents you're doing all of this while being a new family. I respect you guys so much ❤❤❤😊.
First 11 episodes of this series: what the hell is this eedjit doing?
Episode 12: hmm. Seems like he's acrually gaming.
Episode 13: normal service has resumed.
Great work, Deebeegeek! You’re the man!😁👍
I can tell that Dee is a more experienced Zelda player in this playthrough, as opposed to BOTW. He appreciates the lore and wants more "classic" puzzles in the shrines haha. I feel that! I am still greatly enjoying the vids.
I love that when you feel like your going to dive or enter the sky in any way you mimic the trailer theme😂
This memory is already great, but it's even better when you've played Skyward Sword. Ganondorf's similar appearance to Demise really shows that Demise's curse still follows every incarnation of Link and Zelda.
You mean his Demon King form?
@@a.jthomas6132 Yeah, that form. The long fire-like hair and his robust phisique.
Bro i started watching you like 4 months ago and i think your one of the best youtubers even though skill could use some work in some games u are just funny, good and u never forget the objective of being a youtuber entertaining ur watchers(: keep up the good work😀
Dee please do more story progression and sage uncovering!!! ❤❤
22:34 The Deebee way everyone.
Also, Deebee, definitely collect and upgrade all the glide armor pieces to level 2. You won’t regret it.
goddamn he took care of that Flow shrine so well. I need to take note. XD;;;
When I got to the pirate base, i remembered dying a lot and having to redo it all every time. Frustrating but satisfying when i finally did it.
The editor's note at the start made me legitimately laugh 😂
Usually the Rauru's blessings are in an area where you have been solving puzzles outside to get to them 🤣 if you just hop around they won't seem as worth it i suppose hahaha
This was throughly enjoyable! 😂 never change my friend!
Give that man some cheddar!
I agree! Grant him his wish: cheddar!
Hey deebee, this game is so much fun, PLEASE 100% it, (maybe dont do the korok seeds because there are a thousand), i have and its such an amazing journey. I don't want this series to end!
Someone show this vídeo to Sakurai so he sees that Link can actually wall jump 😂, it's so funny seeing the shrines being completed via the Dee Bee way
Ganondorf and Demise doesn't really have something to do with each other contrarly as many say and think about it ( mainly because of the poor english translation of demise speech in skyward sword ), the only think they have in common is the fact that they are demon king , demise being the First demon king knowed to have existed.
Demise said after being defeated by link , that even if he has been defeated that's not the end because as long as there is light , darkness will always be there as well , this is a curse that cannot be broken , so the history will only repeat again and again. because this is the story of the endless fight of light vs darkness.
Ganondorf is the new and Last demon king knowed to have ever existed in the zelda series or more precisly the "main one" if we don't count Malladus ( spirit track ).
his demon king form in totk is a reference to the fact that he is the new demon king explaining why he look so similar to demise.
36:49 when you don't have anyway to take off the ground, i suggest an Ultrahand and Recall combo
It ended too soon! 😭
I enjoyed this one; was cracking up with the sky crystal. XD
DBG: "He looks like Demise!!"
Me: "Yes."
DBG: "Is it Demise?!"
Me: "No."
I really don't understand the disappointment of a blessing shrine. Thise always felt like rewards to me.
Me too. After the palava getting those crystals to the spot I'm relieved to get a blessing🤗
My headcanon is, that since he used Sonias TIME secret stone, Ganondorf Reverted his body somewhat back to what was close to his first and Original Incarnation: Demise.
And if we get to that point to fight him, we will even see evidence of my claim there (people who played it already should know of what i'm speaking about)
32:41
Torque, you’re a gift to us all
Ganondorf isn't Demise or a reincarnation of his soul but is a manifestation of Demise's traits, feelings, thoughts and characteristics. He's a successor and an echo of the primordial Demon king who decayed into nothingness within the Master sword at the end of Skyward sword.
Both Ganondorf and Malladus were called incarnation of darkness and demon kings(translated as king of evil in some localizations, king of evil is only seperate from Demon king in A link to the past and Link’s awakening's Japanese manuals, in all of the games in Japanese Demon king or Great demon king or king of darkness or demon king of darkness is Ganondorf's main title) in Spirit tracks and Ocarina of time respectively. In Demise's final words the primordial Demon king talks about incarnations(it isn't clear in Japanese if it's plural or singular) of his hatred and grudge that are going to eventually appear after his destruction. I'm Breath of the wild and Age of calamity the manifestations of Ganondorf's hatred and grudge are called incarnation of hatred and grudge and reference Demise's final words.
Demise's curse in Japanese isn't a magical curse, it's a statement of fact, he's describing the reality of the situation and talks about an already existing curse/karmic cycle for evil spirits, his hatred and the demon tribe's hatred is the curse of the demon tribe. Because of the curse's existence since long long before Demise's revival in the past means that the war he started against the gods is eternal. Link and Zelda's successors will always show up because of what Hylia and SS Link created and thus they will always fight evil and the demon tribe.
Demise's design was based on Ganondorf and was meant to echo the former Gerudo who turned himself into a demon king. Ganondorf’s newer designs after Skyward sword's release borrow some of Demise's design.
The scary part:
The Secret Stones dont grant any Power, they just increase the powers inside them, this means Ganondorf was indeed a Powerful Magician before obtaining a secret Stone.
I mean if we look at his Ocarina of Time incarnation:
He summoned demonic creatures like the Dodongos that are actually extinct, he killed the Deku Tree, which is basically a Guardian Spirit, AND he probably also almost killed Lord Jabu Jabu, who was the patreon deity of the Zora, if Link didnt save him in time, ans that was BEFORE Ganondorf obtained the Triforce of Power, meaning before uptaining that artifact he was already able to kill Deities
It's obtaining not uptaining :)

Sorry, English is not my first language :'-)
@@Chris-gx1eithat's OK your English is great besides that one word mix-up (it's not a word at all I don't think, actually). I have a lot of friends who are non-native English speakers so always find it's better to point out and you will continue to improve even more! 😊
Great job on your deathless run so far Dee! 💜
It is interesting seeing the different paces people take this at. DeeBee has more battery than me, but I have more hearts.
Can't wait for Deebee to get the full Glide set (and hopefully upgrade it to at least lvl 3). It's one of if not my favorite outfits in the entire game
Once I got it I worked to upgrade it right away. Since it was a fully new set I wanted to see what the bonus was. I had the most fun just enjoying the new things i could do with that bonus.
Aww nah I like you. 😂😂 I was just casual browsing here. Get to the very end. "She just got out the swtich" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh man I lost it.
Subbed 😂
The glide suit is probably my favorite armor. Especially upgraded to level 2
So worth the trials and hunting down the parts to upgrade it.
Ganon is an incarnation of Demise so… yeah technically. Think that Ganon design is my favourite. ❤
The Demon King obviously was the tittle of Demise and Ganondorf is his incarnation (by the curse), I see reference and lore everywhere.
That was a really good use of charged attacks
Finally the moment of that memory has come and was worth the wait
"These chests aren't even worth it bro!"
Never have been.
I loved this one. That Shrine crystal with the glider was hilarious😅😅😅 Its comforting to see I'm nor the only one that has trouble with those sky island shrines. Where did you get that white shining shield? 🤔
38:21 why does this scene weirdly look majestic with the song playing?
Please give torque some cheddar, he really deserves some! 🧀🧀🧀
No, Demise is a separated character, but his death brough forth Ganon.
Has nobody told DB about the fact when facing off against the pirates/hordes, he can just hit them with a Muddlebloom and then just let the chaos unfold...?
that's because he plays like a noob
Ganondorf is technically NOT Demise. Skyward Sword tells us that he is an incarnation of Demise's HATRED reborn. However both characters have held the title of "Demon King." and the games do make it clear that there is a link between them through visual similarities.
The secret stones enhance a character's inate magical abilities - so Ganondorf an incarnation of demonic hate unlocks a demonic power and form upon aquiring Sonia's secret stone. It's not the first time he's been referred to as a Demon King though - he also gained that title after aquiring the Triforce of Power in Ocarina of time and the subsequent games of the other timelines.
The memories really are quite epic. I'm looking forward to zou checking out the others :)
36:11 I laughed through this whole part, omg XD
The Great Shrine Crystal Odyssey was an epic masterpiece of tragic comedy. Also, give Torque some cheese!
The shrines in totk is so fun
This video was very entertaining Dee. Also the intro was hilarious, and Torque sounds like he's having fun doing the enemy voices. :)
1:07 also this just reminds me of being a kid and mocking my parents. XD
Yes 2 today 😄😃 there are benefits to having a busy week, 2 episodes from DeeBee Geek 🎉.
Keep getting the memories.....keep...getting...the memories.
(sad, knowing smile.)
36:14 I couldn’t stop laughing at this scene, it’s too funny
also I imagined "He's a Pirate" playing when he took on the Pirate Occupiers of Lurelin Village.
The bullet time construct voice 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder how long it’ll take, and how many things he’ll drop, before DeeBee remembers he has the power to reverse time to bring them back
38:18 You couldve used recall to save the crystal from falling
This is the best episode 👍😁
So many times im like dee please use the muddle buds and save yourself some trouble!
I'd LOVE for you to MORE side quests! You're not doing anything that really makes the game FUN!
It's strange how the scene implies ganondorf created gloom when the ending shows us otherwise
Wooo! Another episode of Turs of duh kingdom hearts chronicles X
Assuming it's Torque, he does a good job with the Construct voices.
Give your editor some Cheddar Deebee! 😂
Time travel isn't the only thing that has problems, but also teleportation, like Zelda did in the tear scene. Does it work like that? How does it know who to grab, not not leave off a limb? She clearly wasn't touching Rauru. So everyone and their clothes behind the shield, but the ground that she is on? Like with time travel, that alway poses a problem, since atoms are always touching other atoms etc. etc..
My sister died on vacation in Ireland. She was admitted to Beaumont hospital with a brain bleed. They put her into a coma and she never woke up.
I love the comments here, i love gamers full stop, my mum is 73 and a full on gamer, but she wont let me video her 🤷♀️ she's finished this and the new assassins creed and has gone back to ghost of tsushima for the 35th time, (seriously) I've been trying to find games similar that are still on a physical disk on ps4 but I'm struggling to find anything she hasn't got already. She's loving watching deebeegeek play, and stampy i love that you and stampy make my ma laugh, bless you and your beautiful family and all gamers ❤😊.
Yes they don't directly mention Demise because they don't want to confuse people who have not played Sky Ward Sword. But I think it is obvious what this means. Ganondorf is the reincarnation of Demise and the secret stone unlocks a person's potential so getting a secret stone restored Ganondorf to the same demon king status he had back when he was originally Demise.
Except he's able to become the demon king without it, in all the other games
This was amazing and fun to watch 22:35 😂
0:24 Hey! Gotta pay the cheese tax!
Does dee post totk gameplay every tuesday or every 2 weeks?? he's my stress reliever
@@TorqueOS thank you for the reply
Ugh. Says you're back with another episode of Tears of the Kingdom, but shows "Xenoblade Chronicles X". Don't rip out my soul and crush it like that, man. Literally my favorite game of all time.
