Excellent exlore again from you mate. I walked / cycled that canal a few years back, lots of remnants (bridge abutments etc) of the former route from Wolves to Walsall.
Looking on my street atlas's there's a railway tunnel deep beneath there, I'm guessing frieight usage only, bypassing wolves station towards stafford.

Great video, This was one of the first canals I walked, it's nice round by the nature reserve where you are heading in part 2 and towards Pelsall and Chasewater near the end. I'm looking forward to seeing your next ones. All the best, Webby 👍

My neck of the woods. The bits of bridge near Deans Road were as you guessed a railway bridge. I was on a coach heading to a school swimming lesson when it was being dismantled and a JCB toppled over and pierced the bottom of the canal leading to that section of the canal draining. Right under that bit of the canal is actually a modern train tunnel. Before the bridge was dismantled it was possible to stand on the old bridge and have a boat under you and a train under that :)
I'm surprised you missed the little bridge just before the Bentley Bridge retail park. You don't go under it these days with the path routed over the new road bridge before joining the canal again. It's one of a number of nice little bridges in that section and the first coming from Wolverhampton. Again back to the school days the locks by the new pub hadn't been filled in and we were convinced we'd found dead body and a policeman had to climb down to check. It turned out it was an old ash fence pole tucked into a boot :)

In 1968 there is a report of a 4 year old boy being drowned near Devil's Elbow Bridge and a petition was raised to have fences erected. It was said that in the previous 6 years 9 children had drowned. Local safety organization had called for the bridge to be removed 18 month previously.
    All the best, Peter.

Great investigative research, watch out for The Great Wyrley Beast - I recall a few ghost hunts and that name cropped up a number of times about 30 years ago.
