Thank you for that confirmation. I thought so too but I've learned that online, never say never or someone will come along 5 minutes later to correct you lol. So unless i am 100%, i just say things like 'i think' or 'as far as I know' to hedge my bets hehe.
Speaking of Colorado Gun Sales i bought a very rare Swiss K31 chambered in 308 Winchester imported from Switzerland from them it looks like a regular K31 but in 308 all matching numbers
@@misha5670 In your experience os that something you've ever encountered? I saw another K31 chambered in 308 sell for $2800 on Rock Island auction it looked more brand new than mine that's the only 2 examples I've seen for sale in the United states it must be extremely rare
As a Swiss guy the PE or private sold guns usually are made small numbers so highly collectible I do like Bern guns it really depends on your choice I personally would keep the Bern barrel gun and shoot it because I don't own guns that I don't shoot but I understand some people don't like to shoot very collectible guns.

Misha, it appears that you have an early version based on the serial number, the color of the folding stock and pistol grip (the green is glossy). However, it seems that the two-part hand guard was replaced at the some point. By the way, there should be a manufacturing date on your magazine. What’s the month and year on it? Keep them all, my friend! If you ever need a Victorinox or Wenger bayonet, let us know, here, in Switzerland.
It didn't come with the magazine, so doesn't really matter. I just grabbed one from a pouch. Of the 3 of these i received in, this one actually has the highest serial.
Hey Mishaco, what is your opinion of the PSA AKV? i am debating getting one, i only own 1 ak and it's a Norinco Mak-90. I really want a vityaz clone though. Do you think this is worth the $730 asking price? Thanks a lot for all the information from your videos, i value your opinion highly.
Want a Vityaz clone? Then get a KUSA KP or KR9. They are beyond just inspired by the PP19 and are nearly identical 1 to 1 copies. They do cost more than teh PSA though, so that's a major factor to be sure. Then again, they are brand new to the market, so hopefully the price will come down here in a few months?
Its just under 'misha' but we did record something with the earlier version for this channel also. We've just not had time yet to edit that video together.
Everything's better when shared. We definitely like US firearms here, as well as French, British, Russian, Japanese, Polish and on and on. We just like well made items.
So i had to join the switzerlands army....the difference between the army and the civilian Version are pretty smal...but then kinda big? Like The army rifle has a nighvision ironsight, also 3 round busrt and full auto
Our 550s and PE90s mostly came with night sights...though of course older rifles have had the stuff expire from age. US law limits to semi-only, at least since 1986. Its a thing but oh well.
What does your gut say?... I don’t have an option so I’ll just keep my SAN 550P lol If I was in your situation I’d probably keep the PE 90 but since I’m not Ill just remind myself of how cool the new run of SAN produced 550s are just 50 of them and also by the crazy mental explosive realitzation that SiG now makes juice box containers and other packaging 😉
Actually, i kept one of the PE90 types but not the one in this video. Ended up keeping one with an interesting serial. Through a bit of odd turn of fate, it was economically 'cheaper' (using that loosely) to keep the PE90 and sell the SG550P. So i actually cmae out ahead and used the additional coin to pick up a SG553R for your viewing enjoyment. Video on that coming sooner.
Are you going to do a video of your breaking point and why you made your decision?... I think you made the right choice in the end... it’s more rare than the 550P, W+F made and still has all the features you like Grenade ring and bayo lug. The one area we disagree is I’m not down with the whale tail. Not that I’d turn one down...
They frown on full-autos over here. Haven't let us import them since 1968. Haven't let us own new ones since 1986 either. So it goes, what ya' going to do? At least we have a lot of nice semi-autos.
Excellent rifle! I just got one myself classic green with the black furniture. I can definitely see why a lot of people put a piece of tape right behind the bolt, it doesn’t take long for that finish to start coming off from the spent casings haha think I shot 30 rounds and it did a number on it already. But this is truly one of the best rifles I have ever owned! Great video by the way
This is the civil version of the SIG 550 and not the one for the Military. Because the Military version has 3 shoot mods: 1 shot, 3 Shot and fully Auto ( on the Gun 20 because the original magazine has 20 Rounds)
It would ahve to be modified, but could be NJ legal. At least, the bayo lug is easy to remove and could be installed later down the road. Its pinned into the GB.
@@misha5670 this is true do they make 10 round magazines? Gosh. And I know Swiss magazine get expensive... Also it would need a fixed or pinned stock. I am fine getting the average 550 with the fixed stock if they import a good number of them.
for a country that never fights in wars, they have a pretty nice rifle
That's why we love to share it with other countries that do fight in wars hahahahhaah
Hahaha thanks man ;) !
Thank the ingenuitive Swiss for a beautiful rifle. A perfect example of Humankind's best engineering.
As far as I know, the PE90 was only made with the Swiss twist of 1:10 optimized for the GP90 of 63gr.
Cheers from Switzerland

Nope. Lots of 1:7 barrels in Canada. I’d say about half and half here 1:10 and 1:7
These are so nice, I just wish I could afford one. I have enough problems trying to keep up with the CZ Bren line up.
Also known as the nicest factory AK ever.

Best rifle in the world.
"Tickleling my trigger" I'm going to make it a point to use that phrase at least once this week! Another awesome video, thanks!
But of course

Some silly people...what's the point in owning a fine piece of hardware but not enjoying/shooting it?
Stanz Skinz additional P stamp means privatized from military

Hey there,
nice video.
Is there any extended mag release for this weapon or fits a extend mag release for a AK.
Thanks

What’s your personal channel in case folks want to checkout the video of the earlier version?
Its just under 'misha' but we did record something with the earlier version for this channel also. We've just not had time yet to edit that video together.
Hi Mishaco... when will JDI start importing Stg57/Sig 510? They are very plentiful and inexpensive in Switzerland but unobtainable here in the USA.
New ones also cost 4000 here, used ones go down to 1600 if you're finding a really good deal
They aren't as common over there as you might think. At least not ones available for purchase and priced where its ok to buy them.
Cool video! Pretty gun! Thanks!
cheers
Wow what a great rifle. I know I say it alot but Misha you get the best damn toys!
Nice video, we use us stuff, in swiss army i’m into a m109 howitzer ! Have a good time for the futur

We can, they are still coming in; just in small numbers and they sell out months in advance.

Almost the same as my service rifle in the safe. Exept not full auto.
yup was a really good rifle. imo better then the stgw57.

Sadly here in Canada the govt is on the 3rd reading for banning the Swiss Arms rifles... very sad, great rifles... Great Video Misha, cheers =)
yes, our european neighbors to the north
@@spacecatboy2962 its gonna be as bad as uk and australia here soon
If it's not a 20", It's not an original Swiss issued Army gun since that's what we all are initially issued...
That's how we shoot 1 MOE at 300m every year with the diopter iron sight... noobs....

keep it!
Final decision was to keep a PE90, but a different one with an earlier serial #.
👍
