Opposite electric charges attract, and they really don't like not having a pair. By creating a positive charge (lack of electrons) in one place and a negative charge (abundance of electrons) in the other, the charge moves creating a lightning in its path. You literally just have two points and a line between them. If the point just so happens to be on the enemy, the enemy obviously cannot dodge it, creating a sure hit attack. I obviously simplified it to the point that anyone with basic understanding of electricity will kill me, but i don't want you to be confused.
The things that kashimo lacked is -reverse curse energy -reverse curse technique -simple domain -domain amplification -maximum technique -Curse technique mastery -domain expansion Had he gotten rce first then the problem with his CE would have been solved.
He lacked plot convenience. Sukuna respected his strength so he didn’t hold back and threw world cutting slashes at him and then a whole net of it. Everyone in the current fight still being alive is only a plot convenience.
Regarding domains, he's in the running for fastest character in the verse + has Hollow Wicker Basket. He can definitely HWB and then blitzfuck most domain users.
Ugh i dont know but he quickly rose up to my faves ranks, he was so cool, his fight with Hakari is so anticipated and his fight against Sukuna, albeit short (i think?), will probably be absolutely mad to witness. Also liked how even reincarnated he kept the hair buns.
one thing people dont realised is that he was the absolute strongest in his era. Second to none, he was so lonely at the top after killing other sorcerers. He was the absolute strongest 400 years ago, and guess who was also born 400 years ago, a limitless user with six eyes from the gojo clan. So this means at that point in time, he was even stronger than a limitless user with six eyes thats pretty insane stuff tbh
eh, I mean not necessarily. Gojo mentioned that the heads of the Zenin and Gojo clans had fought and killed each other in a fight that took place during either the Edo or Keith period. Considering that Gojo specifically mentioned the Edo period first, it's more likely that Kashimo ended up unluckily being the only strong one left after the Gojo and Zenin heads merked each other.

Last chapter it said cleave efficiency varied depending on the strength of his opponent. I know that doesn’t necessarily mean he felt the need to use the world cutting slashes for kashimo because of that. But if it does it kinda implies kashimos in or near gojos ballpark.
Does kashimos ct restore his flesh aswell like healing him? Bc then it could be the case that sukunas normal slashes wouldnt have worked or not worked that great. But on the other hand we dont know if sukuna used bisecting the world slash when he used his last attack against kashimo.

Unlikely he would beat Kenjaku. Considering that Kenjaku is the best barrier user other than Tengen (who herself said that Kenjaku's Simple Domain was likely to tank Yuki's Domain expansion), I find it unlikely he would lose to Kashimo. I'm not saying he's stronger than Kashimo in the Edo era, but he would most likely be able to stall long enough for Kashmir's MBA to kill him.
He killed 80 memebers before fighting haksri snd still didnt deem hakari a threat. Sukuna went all out on kashimo which means he was a problem. Hes the only person ive seen tank a full powered dismantled. This made sukuna do 1000 of them to kill em after knocking em off balanced.

Kashimo's fight against Sukuna was all thematic material and no spectacle- the opposite of what we want from visual media. We learn more about how lonely it is for people like Gojo, Sukuna, and Kashimo to be at the top with no rival, Sukuna mentors Kashimo on love, etc. buuuut, we wanted the spectacle, we wanted the fight choreography. Hopefully the anime expands upon the fight when it gets adapted... in like, 4-6 years or so.
Kashimo isn’t a fraud in my eyes,just got done dirty. He fought Hakari(The immortal) with zero hesitation and at the end Hakari admits he would have lost if they kept going. He had a natural sure-hit attack without CT or a Domain Expansion. You can’t easily block his attacks (unless your sukuna or gojo) because his cursed energy naturally damages over time with a stun effect. He is smart and creative with his abilities (deadly gas from the ocean) He was almost speed blitzing a weakened meguna (which even if meguna is weakened he is still a very dangerous powerhouse that only like 2% of the verse could even stand up too) and forced him to go full Form sukuna so he wouldn’t die. Kashimo’s CT is effectively the 8th gates from Naruto and forced Sukuna to have to spam an entire wall of the (currently) strongest attack in the verse to end the fight quickly. To me this shows kashimo may have not lasted long but he was no bum,simple got done dirty by GeGe like many others (cough cough gojo,yuki,and more
he was blitzing a 2hp meguna with no domain, weak rct and ce output (wich already means a drop in all stats, including speed) and less than half of his og CE pool. And then he was two tapped by a nerf Four arm Sukuna with mostly the same nerfs, only with a half assed heal to help Maybe the blackclash would have not been that hard if his fans didnt try to put him on the same league as Gojo or Sukuna
If you consider him using his CT and dying after killing his opponent a win still, then at most he's 3rd strongest, behind Sukuna and Gojo, although it's still debatable that he'd be able to deal with the likes of Kenjaku or Yuki due to his lack of RCT [At least he hasn't been shown having it], since one Uzumaki from Kenjaku or one punch from Yuki and he'd almost instantly be out. This is without mentioning the fact so many domains in the story would just destroy him due to his lack of A Domain / Domain Aplification / Simple Domain / HWB / FBE. We're sure he doesn't have a domain as he didn't even try expanding it against Hakari, and the others can be implied due to him not even attempting to use it VS Sukuna.

The message that gege is trying to convey to us is that overconfidence is deadly, and that even the best can be erased in a few moments. there is always stronger than the strongest. There are many layers of understanding to kashimo's story.
Anti domain techniques won’t save you against DE fully unless your mastery of barries/CT is vastly superior over your opponent. Any of the special grade sorcerers or maybe even the disaster curses would overhelm his hollow wicker basket probably.

If Kashimo had Reverse Cursed Technique and mastery over his CT, he would be extremely more stronger. Plus from Reverse Cursed Technique the problem of his cursed energy would be solved as in the form of reverse cursed energy. I strongly believe that if Kashimo actually had RCT, he would be able output it like Sukuna, Yuta and Shoko. Imagine a reverse cursed energy amplified lightning strike, basically negs all cursed spirits in the verse because outputted reverse cursed energy can destroy cursed spirits pretty easily. If Kashimo just had those 2 things he would have maybe actually won against Sukuna.

He forced sukuna into his strongest state and survived that strongest states dismantle with barely any damage and no missing limbs. It means alot. Go/jo died to megumi which showed how bad he was at fighting. He was just spamming random shit which irritated the hell out of me and seen his death a mile away
One thing that people don’t bring up is that base kashimo almost killed the person in the series with the best healing 3 times, if Yuta or maki got hit by one of his bolts in base form yutas RCT isn’t as good as hakari so he’d have to focus on his RCT while kashimo takes on rika or just beats the shit out of Yuta and maki one bolt and it’s over

I got to disagree with so much here. First on Kashimo vs Hakari: Hakari is NOT at the same level as Kashimo. And pretty much everything on their fight proves it. Kashimo could have easily won if he just stalled for time while Hakari was immortal, but he purposely decided to make things harder for himself by not doing so. Because Kashimo is actively looking for an exciting fight, and not particularly to win. Hakari got incredibly lucky, even for him in his fight by avoiding death multiple times by hitting the jackpot. Without that he would have lost. Even while Hakari was immortal Kashimo was dominating him. So Kashimo actively did everything to handicap himself and still dominated most of the fight. Second on Sukuna vs Kashimo: How do you wave away two clean hits from Kashimo to Sukuna is beyond me. "He got taken by suprise" Dude, Kashimo straight up run into him with a frontal attack. Sukuna had all the time in the world to react, he just couldn't. Kashimo was at least on hand to hand, on par with him.

Id say Kashimo is at best 5th place. But is most likely lower. Sukuna is first for now, 2nd is Gojo, 3rd is Takaba, 4th is Kenjaku, 5th can go to about 5 others.
I would say that yuta beats kashimo, and it is also possible given the recent chapters that higuruma would beat him, as we know that kashino killed a ridicoulus amount of people in his era, and attempted to kill hakari and panda, which could probably result in a CT confiscation, which would be horrible for him. But he is definetely top 5 strongest
The one thing i don't like about kashimo scaling is if he can't beat you in base and has to ise his cr he at best gets a draw he can not take a win out of that situation

Without his cursed technique I think he would not beat some more characters. I also firmly believe that Sukuna used the Heian era from because of Kashimo. Pretty sure that he knew he would die without using it.
It was never stated that he got an increase in speed and physical strength. Improved his overall capabilities and abilities he can use. Agility like you said is more akin to reaction speed. Him landing a blow could be as simple as sukuna being surprised by the activation of the CT. Kashimo is also using sound based attacks which sukuna even reacts to and Everytime after his first punch he uses one of these attacks distracting/disorienting sukuna. Sukuna also didn't receive a speed buff by returning to his heian form. Both of these statements have no real proof just speculation to back them up. Sukuna normally likes to play with his food and then enjoys showing them up after. Kashimo is off screened by an attack he didn't even see sukuna launch. Seeing how you place your CT into a domain and then can still use your CT yourself or another if you have one I would say it would be safe for him to use and not die seeing how it doesn't directly affect him. He is faster but his top speed isnt increased which doesn't help him against Sukuna. Sukuna still is faster than kashimos and speed blitzes him easily in terms of agility and overall speed. Kashimos is able to react because of his increased agility but loses because sukuna has extra arms and is faster overall. Sukuna and Gojo are relative to each other. Sukuna isn't buffed by entering his true form other than extra arms and mouth. It wouldn't really be worth it to activate his true form if he still had maharaga. Maharaga alone is better than the extra arms and mouth.

Kashimos lightning is a sure hit because it works on a same principle as real lightning. Opposite electric charges attract, and they really don't like not having a pair.
By creating a positive charge (lack of electrons) in one place and a negative charge (abundance of electrons) in the other, the charge moves creating a lightning in its path.
You literally just have two points and a line between them. If the point just so happens to be on the enemy, the enemy obviously cannot dodge it, creating a sure hit attack.

Considering that Kenjaku is the best barrier user other than Tengen (who herself said that Kenjaku's Simple Domain was likely to tank Yuki's Domain expansion), I find it unlikely he would lose to Kashimo. He killed 80 memebers before fighting haksri snd still didnt deem hakari a threat. Sukuna went all out on kashimo which means he was a problem. Hes the only person ive seen tank a full powered dismantled. This made sukuna do 1000 of them to kill em after knocking em off balanced.

Kashimo's fight against Sukuna was all thematic material and no spectacle- the opposite of what we want from visual media. We learn more about how lonely it is for people like Gojo, Sukuna, and Kashimo to be at the top with no rival, Sukuna mentors Kashimo on love, etc. buuuut, we wanted the spectacle, we wanted the fight choreography. Hopefully the anime expands upon the fight when it gets adapted... in like, 4-6 years or so.

He had a natural sure-hit attack without CT or a Domain Expansion. You can’t easily block his attacks (unless your sukuna or gojo) because his cursed energy naturally damages over time with a stun effect. He is smart and creative with his abilities (deadly gas from the ocean)
He was almost speed blitzing a weakened meguna (which even if meguna is weakened he is still a very dangerous powerhouse that only like 2% of the verse could even stand up too) and forced him to go full Form sukuna so he wouldn’t die.
Kashimo’s CT is effectively the 8th gates from Naruto and forced Sukuna to have to spam an entire wall of the (currently) strongest attack in the verse to end the fight quickly.
To me this shows kashimo may have not lasted long but he was no bum,simple got done dirty by GeGe like many others (cough cough gojo,yuki,and more

If you consider him using his CT and dying after killing his opponent a win still, then at most he's 3rd strongest, behind Sukuna and Gojo, although it's still debatable that he'd be able to deal with the likes of Kenjaku or Yuki due to his lack of RCT [At least he hasn't been shown having it], since one Uzumaki from Kenjaku or one punch from Yuki and he'd almost instantly be out. This is without mentioning the fact so many domains in the story would just destroy him due to his lack of A Domain / Domain Aplification / Simple Domain / HWB / FBE. We're sure he doesn't have a domain as he didn't even try expanding it against Hakari, and the others can be implied due to him not even attempting to use it VS Sukuna.

First on Kashimo vs Hakari:
Hakari is NOT at the same level as Kashimo. And pretty much everything on their fight proves it.
Kashimo could have easily won if he just stalled for time while Hakari was immortal, but he purposely decided to make things harder for himself by not doing so. Because Kashimo is actively looking for an exciting fight, and not particularly to win.
Hakari got incredibly lucky, even for him in his fight by avoiding death multiple times by hitting the jackpot. Without that he would have lost.
Even while Hakari was immortal Kashimo was dominating him. So Kashimo actively did everything to handicap himself and still dominated most of the fight.
Second on Sukuna vs Kashimo:
How do you wave away two clean hits from Kashimo to Sukuna is beyond me. "He got taken by suprise" Dude, Kashimo straight up run into him with a frontal attack. Sukuna had all the time in the world to react, he just couldn't. Kashimo was at least on hand to hand, on par with him.

It was never stated that he got an increase in speed and physical strength. Improved his overall capabilities and abilities he can use. Agility like you said is more akin to reaction speed. Him landing a blow could be as simple as sukuna being surprised by the activation of the CT. Kashimo is also using sound based attacks which sukuna even reacts to and Everytime after his first punch he uses one of these attacks distracting/disorienting sukuna. Sukuna also didn't receive a speed buff by returning to his heian form. Both of these statements have no real proof just speculation to back them up. Sukuna normally likes to play with his food and then enjoys showing them up after. Kashimo is off screened by an attack he didn't even see sukuna launch. Seeing how you place your CT into a domain and then can still use your CT yourself or another if you have one I would say it would be safe for him to use and not die seeing how it doesn't directly affect him. What would it do though? Probably allow him to launch the attacks like the ones he used against sukuna as sure hits or just his normal lightning strike he uses as sure hits.

Kashimos is able to react because of his increased agility but loses because sukuna has extra arms and is faster overall. Sukuna and Gojo are relative to each other. Sukuna isn't buffed by entering his true form other than extra arms and mouth. It wouldn't really be worth it to activate his true form if he still had maharaga. Maharaga alone is better than the extra arms and mouth.

Kashimo is waaaaaay above these guys including hakari who made even sukunas 2nd go 100%. Sukuna got demolished in his megumi state which is weak. When that didn't happen he just one shot him his self. From the start of the fight gojo was on his knees against megumi. Gojos purpose was to scare sukuna into transforming so they could jump down and help him. Gojo got demolished effortlessly so Kashimo had to make it happen. Sukuna was running from Kashimo, he never ran from gojo. He even let gojo train for a month just to die effortlessly ...

Compare that to any grade one sorcerer like nanami who is likely building level, compared to that of a nuke. The power gap is massive and the evidence that kashimo is special grade is undeniable. He literally went toe to toe with sukuna in his mythical beast amber form, and faired for a decent amount of time no grade one would even come close, and to drive my point home.
