    One of the highlights of the soundtrack for me, and you did an amazing job with it. Thank you.

    In the beginning of the game the crash of thunder gets in the way of appreciating this track.
    Due to above I associate this theme more with Altin Peak Mines. The track, the darkness, ruins at the bottom of the mine - all combined together = pure perfection.
    Superb work! Definitely on par with the likes of Venus Lighthouse, Sol Sanctum.

    Bloody hell, still one of the best openings of a game EVER.
    Also, when are you going to restore the Prologue? The one played at the start of The Lost Age?

      You mean the main theme? I believe Cyanne already covered that one: ruclips.net/video/vsscfi8U9Sg/видео.html But I might do my own version at some point!

    This is really interesting. Did you change anything in the notation or rhythm at all?

      @JusteDni  10 месяцев назад +1

      Nope, note at all! The notes and rhythm are exactly like in the original game. Did you notice anything that sounded different? The bass intro maybe? In a lot of restored tracks you can definitely hear things that were a bit "hidden" in the GBA versions because the original samples were compressed and full of noise.
      Fun fact: the bass in that song is actually two tracks with the same pattern, the second track is the same as the first one, slightly delayed, to give this "echo" effect (this is a common trick that appears throughout the whole soundtrack). But also, the notes have a slight detune in the second track. I tried my best to keep those details in my restoration.
      The samples are also different. The GBA uses one single mono sample, with a sample rate of 22kHz, whereas I'm using multiple samples: the HD, 44.1kHz stereo version of the original sample but also the full range of samples that's available on the hardware SC-88.
      Hope that makes sense! ^^
