There is nothing that could teach more about creating something then seeing you think 24/7 and actually building. Your mentality and constant hype-vibe is so motivating. As always, thanks dude. You are helping me personally a lot. You taught me that all problems can and should be broken up to smaller pieces and that it doesn't matter if you didn't do a lot on a specific day, what matters is the progress. I do not know if these are intentional, but these are the things I took away from your videos. Why are we devs if we are not constantly building? Let's gooooo🙌
watching this inspires me and take as brain storming for my own app, which is not related to your topic but also realising how important the sense of community is. thank you and keep it up!
My thoughts, stick with the current model until polished... a new social media platform would do the opposite of making it user friendly.. we are all trying to have everything in one space... just my personal opinion! :)
These are so helpful and motivating to anyone starting out. Thanks for another great video and spending time to create/edit them. You and Maddie are kicking butt. :)
totally agree with you that the culture of people is moving toward communities of common shared interest, based on helping the other person and not taking for yourself! :) this is the basis of the right timing for you and the work for your startup!
Sup Jacob! I wonder if you plan to opensource subbb or in any way allow developers to build on top of subb at some point? I got some ideas on building internal app modules within subbb that could be personalised and further develop community interaction. Kind of like adding an extra module to your Discord server to enable some extra features, if you will. This way, instead of trying to meet every creator's needs alone, you could have something like a marketplace where creators choose apps that people build for specific needs. If not, I think it might be worth giving it a thought to add such feature. Cheers!
I started with nest js recently and love it. But why do you use nest js instead of building it in api folder in next js is it for separate backend and front end or performance? 😄
Hey Jacob, awsome vid as always. I am an aspiring solo dev (currently a cs student) who is also working on some kl projects. I was wondering based on your experience and journey if you could kindly share your insight into how you consider writing secure code, in other words how do you think about all the possible loop holes that could exist if some malicious person tried to hack your app etc.
@@JacobSucksAtCode You might want to reach out to some other dev youtubers and ask for invite. I used to be in it a while ago. James Q Quick might be a good one to talk to. Should help you get in touch with other creators
hey bro, your videos and subbb is great! Just a question, if you build a new platform, doesn't it falls into the same problem as patreon and etc? just wondering
There is always a learning curve with learning something new. You just have to make the decision to pick one and stick with it for a while -> build stuff -> build kl stuff -> build rlly kl stuff. I feel like the best way to truly find out what you enjoy the most is just by trying it one by one, and just keep a child-like learners mindset. You will be fine.
Hey Jacob, This is the message I left on your previous/launch video when I made the donation but RUclips AI decided to go overdrive. "Congrats on the launch! I wish you nothing but success and growth. I'm the founder of an AI-enabled no-code mobile landing page builder for influencers and content creators. We're currently working on a super major upgrade to our platform and what you're doing quite aligns with our vision. It would be nice to discuss business with you and I shall reach out via your club soon."
@@JacobSucksAtCode it s a little bit confusing rn, make me understand this thing that u have build has the purpose to create a platform?(or something closer to this)
I swear I have been checking so frequently for this update video
Hahahah
i know right! daily check ins lol

Finally, you made the correct desicion, build a brand new platform dedicate for creators is too heavy for a startup. We need to take it easy.
That discord like platform for developers sounds awesome! And a huge undertaking. If you ever need any help, I'd love to volunteer my time.
Awesome thanks!
I love your energy man, makes me want to build something
You're killing it! Keep on building!
yooo thanks!

Watching the video now I'm curious... What equipment do you use to record? Tripod, Mic, Camera?
Sony ZV-E1 with a 15mm 1.8f lens and DJI MIC
What platform(s) do you use to host your apps? Also do you use managed Database services like PlanetScale or Neon?
I mainly use Vercel and Railway
It's about time
What camera do you use @Jacob Sucks At Code ?
Sony ZV-E1
what theme do you use in your vscode Jacob?
Night owl
How do you motivates yourself to code daily ??
I’m on a mission
Hey Jacob! I think Skool ticks all the boxes for the software you talk about at the end of the video
Not really. That’s why products like discord exist
Get at it bro. Love the growth!!
Thanks bro!!
What if a person joins by paying and after which he gets the discord link and shares it with others ?!
It’s one time use 😎
@@JacobSucksAtCode Does your page create new discord link for every new person who joins ?!
@@VibavMahendran Yep.
That's great. You handled the edge case. True OG.
Are you in the youtube developer discord server? It's a server with all the major developers on RUclips.

Really targeting an all in one perfect solution instead of just a bonus content platform 😁
Hi bro..where have you been...you got me worried...
What kind of resources do you share in your Discord?
Lots of discussion around tech stacks, projects we’re building etc!
actullay i like your idea startup
Good to see you back!!
Thanks for sharing your journey man. Do you plan on hiring remote devs soon?
Maybe!
@@JacobSucksAtCode Just shared a message.
What is the support email of subbb? I bought a subscription, but the system has a bug inviting me to the Discord server
All systems look good. It’s likely you’ve already claimed your invite. Feel free to reply to the email you received 😁
Soooo happy to see you're back bro
lets gooooooo
Your long-term idea sounds what Skool is doing ?
Not quite, not leaning into education
Hi Jacob ❤❤,, I'm very confused between to be a mobile dev or a web dev . How i can choose the best field for me 😊😊😊??
Whichever you’re more interested in!
Choose web dev it's somehow easier than mobile dev, and also you can learn mobile dev after you learn web dev and it will be easy 😊
