This live mastering of Through Silver in Blood is the best quality live video I've seen on RUclips and the closest to experiencing the power in person, which cannot be topped. I found it really interesting how after Neurosis lost thier member who managed the visual aspects of thier shows that for so long were so important they went full, stark and bleak lighting. Such an interesting response to not having what used to be a very complex visual set to the opposite, but with an equal weight. They have such dedication and put such thought into how thier live performance is seen.

I was honestly there to see Fear Factory, Danzig(whom at the time had just fired Eerie and John Christ even though his new band was excellent minus the guitar solos), Sepultura (with Max and Igor at the time) Slayer and Ozzy. I truly believe in such a huge out door arena a lot of the subtleties Neurosis executes so well (ntm very originally) kinda got lost in the non existent acoustics of such a huge venue.

I haven't seen Neurosis live yet although I've been listening them for years. I've watched this video countless times and still watching. Thanks for the upload. RUclips serves well to humankind in this manner.

59:16 those are some moves right there. At one of their shows during this tour I happened to catch I think Kelly’s guitar pick as it just landed in my folded arms. Kinda weird thinking about that now and after hearing the news.

Is there anything worse than falling into that amazing trance that only Neurosis can provide... Watching your video. Eyes closed. Bobbing your head, really feeling it, the repetitive beauty and all of the subtlety that comes with the samples and effects from Noah. A culmination of decades of song writing experience from a group of terrific musicians. And you're anticipating an explosion of guitars, the apex! Holy shit, the raw power of Neurosis!
But! Just before that comes the most hideously obnoxious soundtrack and yammering talking head of a RUclips ad ripping you visiously out of your lovely moment. Fuck.
It's like waking from the most truly unreal and perfect sex dream of your life to a call from your landlord at 7 AM concerning something irrelevant and meaningless like they'll be painting your mailbox in a week.

Every time I hear "Through Silver In Blood" I imagine werewolves slaughtering people. I see scenes from "Dog Soldiers" and the ending of "An American Werewolf in London". I want to make a collage of brutal scenes from werewolf movies accompanied by this song. Anyone else?

I would love to see a deeply pensive, unsettling, artistic film that tackles lycanthropy - and have Neurosis compose the entire score.

The Neurosis fan is a pensive soul, prone to introspection. Not likely to mosh, more likely sway like a tree in November.

That’s exactly what I did. I either slowly but forcefully slammed my head up and down or swayed slowly staring at the band or the ceiling. People probably thought I was having an orgasm multiple time, and they would’ve been right.

I never gave much thought toward them growing up thinking they were some commercial conglomeration but I now have so much more respect for NEUROSIS after listening to a couple albums and after seeing this.
Enemy of the Sun is my fav and i avoid listening to Souls at Zero..it drags me to deep and empty's any worth i feel for myself.
The sound is of pain and loathing.
Way way low vibrational.(But, what isn't in this fucking world)
I, and indeed we all will miss them when our vibrations start to quicken and we must leave these lower realms ..soon.
    Progress sucks sometimes. T_T
