Take a quick walk with me around the Fort Bonifacio Tenement in Taguig Philippines. Built in 1963, this place has a lot of history. The Tenement has been declared as unsafe but people continue to live here. The Fort Bonifacio Tenement is famous for its Basketball Court which has been visited by the likes of NBA Celebrity LeBron James. It's a very interesting community, stay tuned for a night video to come =) *One minute of this video has been muted due to copyright issues in the background. hello po, saan po ba tayu maka ask nang permission para maka visit sa Tenement. I'm an undergrad architecture student and i'm planning to site visit po. May mga processes pa po ba tayung gawin bago maka pasok?
I left Tenement last year 1988 to work abroad. I've been working here in Saudi Arabia for almost 36th straight years! That's why I miss it. I live in 5th floor in room 579.
Bakit hindi ko ito alam na may ganitong palang kalaki housing community buildings. I'm impressed very much. Sa Europe wala akong pwede i compare dito sa laki. Kudos to late Diosdado Macapagal. Ang tanong ko lang. Ilan families ba ang nakatira dito. At ilan ang population dito? Parang malaking baranggay na ito.
Another GREAT video It's always great to see day to day life in the Philippines and hopefully those kids playing basketball will become champions , K ~Trekker 5☆☆☆☆☆ 👍
Very interesting. Looks similar to some Singapore's HDB flats build more than half a century ago. But badly constructed and maintained and are like going to fall apart. Poor people housing, squalid slum like. But the people love it and fought against eviction from what I seen.
Very interesting residential complex, can say exotic for me. I wonder how the apartments inside, is there a sewer, water pipes, what is the cost of this apartments?
@@KryptoTrekker By the way, I’m glad to see the tenement is still there. When I was there they were saying the place would be torn down. Did they decide not to? If remember a lot of new construction starting in the area as well. I look forward to seeing the night video. That should be really cool! 👍🏽
As a Weeestern boy living in Philippines for a very long time, one thing I know....... I cant go there and explore, I cant go anywhere you go & explore, can you imagine what would happen...... just use your inagination. I therefore: subscribe and ring that bell so as to never miss an episode to go where I just cant go.
Please be responsible in creating captions just to attract viewers. You're not in the right position to determine wether our bldg is safe or not, same goes to our people as what other comment shows. Anyway, for those who commented negative about Tenement, asking the vlogger if he was robbed and went home safe. Actually, the people in Tenement are the warmest and most hospitable. You can ask local celebrities, NBA and PBA stars, even top executives of HBO, Netflix, Sports channels, mainstream medias local and international and not to mention international and local vloggers as well if they were robbed by our people. I felt insulted for our people because I allowed the vlogger to take videos for free hoping that our effort to make our place as welcoming as possible through the art work of the residents end up to have a negative impression. What is wrong with his caption? I see nothing negative about his caption.. all he did was state the facts , as a matter of fact infused some history in it . It is not the vlogger’s fault that viewers expressed some negative comments because that is their impression of the place . For me I just watched the movement , heard the laughter of children and saw the happiness in the eyes of the residents . 👍👍👍

there is a problem with tbe vlogging community this days... they take advantage of so much freedom, but lack of respect. you have already had that opportunity to have your freedom to do your Art on the place but neglecting to appreciate the place itself, the community, Artists that helps beautify and promote the welfare and had the advocacy to save Tenement. be a responsible vlogger show some respect.
I think you missed the boat here. As far as unsafe, meaning structurally, not the people and the environment. I mean, the place does look solid in my eyes, but I think the National Housing Authority (the ones responsible for deeming the place as unsafe) has a lot more experience than I in that field.
If our place is "pugad ng masasamang loob" then why most of the legendary NBA stars visited us? And even movie personalities and PBA stars. Ask tyem if na holdup sila. Don't judged our place by the way it looks like, but the people are warm and friendly. I am inviting you to come and see it for yourself.

It feels so homey and fun there 😍💖
The big problem is relocating the people.but the real solution is built a multi-storey that will shelter for them.

It's safe until there is a major earthquake. From looking at a building you can't determine whether it is safe or not.
Our buidling is more safer than others that was built later than us. It's a Japanese technology earthquake proof.
Please note that I am not the one who deemed this place as unsafe, this is coming from the National Housing Authority.
Good morning
Misleading title...what unsafe? The people or the building...people there are some of the kindest in the world.

mas safe, maayos at moderno ang Tondominium at Binondominium.
