44:26 The Yangwang U8 is equipped with four electric motors. This enables the car to precisely control the torque and steering of each wheel. It can stop the car without using mechanical brakes at all. Or it can maintain straight-line driving at a speed of 120 km/h even if one wheel has a flat tire. It can even float on the water surface for a short time and use the vortices generated by the wheels to make the car travel on the water. This car weighs 3.5 tons, but it only takes 3.6 seconds to accelerate to 100.

The French carmakers used to make wonderful and affordable cars everyone loved. it will be a long time before they get back to that standard. Meanwhile they think taxing the competition will help them survive. it will not. Great products people actually want will.

French car? Forget it. I rent Renault when visiting France, so many problems. French are góod at art but not in engineering. They are just too lazy to do work seriously.
Not happy with the piano black plastic in the Audi S6 E-Tron. That is meant to be the reserve of cheap/budget cars.

Crazy day of work but I wanted to get it out ASAP
Great walkaround. Dacias may not be exciting, but they offer terrific value. Just checked, Jogger Extreme Hybrid (top spec model), which is a proper 7 seater and has heated seats, wireless carplay etc. lists at £23995. Entry level Ford Puma (Ford's cheapest car) is just over £26k!

Wow.... Tesla have no clue how to make a STAND look interesting! Their stand looks like you left the show and went to the carpark.
They don’t really need to bother though eh. They probably sell enough. I was surprised to even see them there to be honest.

Hi 👋 im viewing from New Zealand. The Volkswagon stand has an old VW Golf on show. I remember visiting a car show here back in 1974. They were brand new then , and on display. Thats fifty years ago now.

The Skoda Kodiaq looks great. Form follows function BauHaus style, no childish fake transformer style bits added of for no reason. My objection is the styling line rising to the rear window preventing children from getting a good view from the rear, and those expensive styled rear lights that could be bigger if fitted into the mud guards. I personally hate the styling lower front scoop and gaping holes in the front of modern cars.
You miss cars because, "We know all about them". I am an Australian in Thailand and Laos and I have no idea what people are driving in Paris, the EU or UK, The cars on our roads are very different. This is an International RUclips transmission.
I have driven at 200 kph in Australia and never needed front spoilers or rear spoilers. Low front and rear design are impractical for gutters and poor roads. The low front and rear generally look daggy.

I grew up in Los Angeles so that was my annual Auto Show experience and it was always one of the biggest. I wonder why? Later in life I did make it to Earls Court and finally the Porte de Versailles. You must have been there on Press day because it would be impossible to get around on the Public days.

Hi, thank you for this amazing, well-prepared informative vid! 😃 I do know that there is a huge amount of work in it! And it is quite exhausting to be there, record it, edit it etc. I used to be a car journalist 20 yrs ago. Just got back from Paris last night, it was a great show!
Just one observation: you did not show properly some amazing concept cars, however you stopped at some uninteresting cars like Skodas, VWs, Teslas etc. All of these could be seen in any showrooms...

It really comes down to the fact that I can’t afford to wait for half an hour to catch half a glimpse of a car that, realistically very few will care too much about and will get plenty of dedicated private studio coverage from the big channels. I really wanted to get the Renault 17 but it was impossible every time I visited the stand so I simply moved on.
My channel has a lot of content on everyday cars so I think the video is pitched pretty well for my audience.

Nice one Jim , quick off the mark I’m 13 mins in so far , nice nod to Alex , when you were on the VW stand it looked like their version of the Ford transit custom was there in blue , I saw you cover the T7 multi van California bit I think the California on this one might hopefully see a fully electric camper rather than hybrid , the Ford nugget hasn’t got a full EV version yet but I’ll be at the Motorhome show at NEC later this week to see if any or many electric campers are out yet - excellent so far thanks patric

Interesting video. Its good to see a car channel covering this instead of the usual walk & talk car reviews made at these events. You are right about SUV's they all look the same these days, they have become to big for the minor UK road network, and tend to be driven by people that cant do reverse or stay on the correct side of the road.

Renault are getting brilliant designs by looking back. The R5 & R4 with it's open roof. Twingo with it's super cute designs. They don't have any dodgy "Crappri" design. Peugeot are starting to look very left behind, whilst they are actually still good looking cars.
The R17 (I think) looked super cool too but I couldn’t get near it.

Used to go to the Paris motor show every two years between 2010 and 2016, loved visting Paris, get a cheap flight over. All stopped when most of the major manufacturers started to pull out. Might think about going again, will have to be 2026 now.

Renault have it nailed it with 5,4 and Twingo . BMW shows promise with the neue klasse after years of rather dull designs. VW and Audi a bit boring now.

The Id2 Gti looks the business. The new Mini Cooper and Renualt 5 looked lovely in the metal at Everything electric south. Lovely to see some desirable smaller EV’s on the horizon.

Good video. I personally think Peugeot are producing some great looking cars these days. Indeed I like what all the French manufacturers are up to. A shame there isn't a ICE option on the Renault 5 IMO.
Yeah, I think they’re the best looking Peugeot’s ever but the overall li who is missing a few wows. The pricing is sky high given engine lineup too.
That was really good to watch. I think it says a lot about how some brands (Renault, Citroen, Alfa, BMW) are going back to their roots in an effort to combat the hoardes of Chinese clones that are/will be descending on the continent over the next few years. I think anyone can produce a reletively interesting 'machine' that gets you from A-B, but creating something with soul is a lot more difficult. Great vid - good stuff!

Nice video. I totally agree about the ID3, it just doesn't excite but that ID GTI concept looks great. Congratulations to the Hongoi Guoya for being even uglier than modern Rollers are. I was lucky enough to have the Ferrari 328 GTS from 2000-2006. People always said it was the Magnum car to me but of course as you said the 308 GTS was. I used to love it and it wasn't that bad running costs wise (some very good independent Ferrari specialists out there).
Well I don’t want to make you jealous but I once had a 1981 Austin Metro Automatic with clothes pegs on the choke to replace the missing spring…

Fully electric cars will have even numbers and ICE will have odd numbers. So the A4 will become the A5.

I said the aceman isn't the only electric mini in the line up. theirs the Mini Cooper e and Cooper se the electric 3 door mini and the mini countryman e and countryman se the electric mini suv which uses the same chassis as the bmw ix1 and ix2. now we can include the JCW variants of the aceman and Cooper se into this aswell so. (P.S. the mini countryman and Cooper you showed in the video before the JCW aceman and JCW Cooper se are the electric models of the countryman and Cooper 3 door.

The car is not "horrible". It is an acquired taste. It takes a while for you to "get it". But when you do, you will start to appreciate it more. Its so weird it becomes cool. But you have to look at it quite a few times over time. It "grows" on you, somehow. Its a kind of a weird relationship between your mind and what you are looking at. In other words. It is a cool car.

Instead everything was colourful and attractive…… just remember this when you order you new Chinese EV in black, with black interior and black wheels, all to go with your black clothing…. so you can stand out from the crowd (🤭) and look cool and edgy! 😎

Search for some footage of the 2000 Paris Motor Show and you will see the golden age of auto shows.
With the Geneva Auto Show discontinued and much of the big manufacturers choosing not to attend and rather launch new models via social media, it's clearly that the time for these kind of events is coming to an end.
The show was absolutely packed from mid morning and it was only the press say so I have to disagree.
I had youtube "Paris Motor Show" to find some coverage, but maybe that's because it's early. I highly doubt there's a return on investment for many brands on display here, which is partly why autoshows are slowly dying. But thanks for the video.
This was an extremely busy show with plenty of great brands around and just a few notable exceptions. A far cry from the rather sad 2024 Geneva show.
Earls Court 1982 was the last Car show I went to...Nearly all these cars look the same...so Boring...not your fault..im glad you filmed it...Dasboard screens seem to be getting larger...why no Voice activated controls

44:55 The Seal 07 EV is a relatively comprehensive SUV. It is built on BYD's latest e-platform 3.0 evo. The 800V high-voltage system makes charging faster. It has a more intelligent driving system. However, compared with other Chinese autonomous driving systems, it appears relatively mediocre. The chassis suspension structure with double wishbone front suspension and five-link rear suspension is more stable and comfortable.

The all black car next to the RoboCop car and the futuristic police car, you forgot to mention. What movie is that from?
The cars either side of the robocop car were both police cars. One from back to the future 2 and one from transformers, the only black car on that line was the Batmobile.

From my optics I recognized it right when you got to the RoboCop car delorean and the futuristic police car, then you walked over to Magnum PI, and the other TV series cars. I couldn't catch the whole car, but it was an American car, and not the Fast & Furious car.

I don't understand what the future entails when only 57% of people have access to a driveway in the UK aka the minimum requirement to owning an electric vehicle.
