Bonny village and Bonny gaol are some of the most messed up places in the lore of the shadow land. Now that I finished the DLC I've been helping people with bosses, is so much fun!

FYI: You can assign health and fp flasks to quick slots (located in upper right after hitting start/pause), so u don’t have to cycle through your equipped items. It will make it so you just hold “Y” or triangle on PS, and press up or down to use it. Helped me lot. Also, awesome vid 😊

The general DLC design philosophy seems to have been 'ER had legacy dungeons strewn about an open map - what if we made the map itself the biggest dungeon?' It's definitely very tricky to navigate (the verticality even in the open areas is mindboggling), but the upside is (while you've found so much I hadn't at first) you still have a ton more 'splorin' to do - even in the first area! You've still got a lot of my favourite stuff ahead of you :)
The way you got to Bonny Village is definitely not the only of its kind. It pays to do ALL the damn dungeons in this land!

Man, the village and the jars. I'm not gonna say anything, but you'll love the lore of this place once you really get to know it, it's the best in the DLC in my opinion.
9:54 What is most disturbing is actually your character running around barefoot in this area with all the innards and rotting flesh on the floor...
36:48 That happened because you must not Double Jump while using spirit springs.
46:59 Blast them from the distance with sorceries. Alternatively you can also use a large shield to block and counterattack (not parry), they are very weak to that.
1:49:52 Curseblade Meera is a red-eyed summon. Red eyed summons do not follow the character around when summoned in the Open World which means they are actually only usefull in boss fights.
As far as levelling up Spirit Ashes go - you can buy all gloveworts from 1-9 at the Twin Maden Husks in the Roundtable Hold once you gave them the bell bearings required (this carries over from NG to NG+ and subsequent playthroughs btw). Only the Great Gloveworts for the final upgrade are limited.

fyi you can buy the gloveworts except the final one which you use to level the ashes to +10 so don't worry about spending them, same with the smithing stones!
Great now I have to go back to Bonny Gaol and get that armor set haha😂 great episode Emma and glad you're having fun exploring and not rushing through the DLC

I noticed the other day when you were stopping to check your talismen and what you had on, you didn’t have anything to help with your defense. I would definitely think about equipping the dragoncrest greatshield Talisman. I think that’s why you receive a lot of damage from some of the minor enemies. I try to keep two offensive minded talismen equipped and possibly at least one and maybe two defensive oriented talismen equipped
Well ... Emma , when two pots love each other very much ... then came all the small pots. , just kidding. You know those things that spin? With circle like weapons? My guess, if you have a big shield in your left hand, then, the enemy will bounce off and get staggered
I had to laugh Emma after listening to you go on about your most "hated enemy" and then you went to the gaol... lol.. But hey, you would have had it the first time if you had a little extra healing.
Basically, I wait until it gets its massive attack out and then counter hard, before backing off.
Only FromSoft could call such a messed up place the Bonny Village!
Anyway I’ve finished the DLC now, just a few bits and pieces to tidy up but pretty much done everything. Loved it but the final boss is insane! 😳
I am way behind on Fanta's adventures but the Bonny Village is a very important site of lore for the DLC and is half the explanation for why Messmer is in the Shadowlands. The whole story is just sick and sad.😢

Perfect end to the weekend! I completed it this week. You can do it! Hands down the best DLC I've ever played! I'm sure I've left so many stones unturned 😅
There are multiple Gaols on the map just so you know!
Need to go find them all!
The way I kill those cracked out dancing chakram wielding enemies is run... Yeah just run. But on a serious note, you gotta get a heavy jump attack in right when they land then use your Ash of War/light attacks & then they'll be dead. Greatswords/Curved Greatswords/Colossal Swords making fighting those enemies SOO much easier cause you can stagger em' with each hit.

The outfit you had on at the beginning of this video is supposed to be kind of hard to get if I remember correctly. You can farm the ones in weeping peninsula or at the capital for another version of that outfit without the blooms.
16:28 Fyi the map fragment to the Northwest is actually in the lower half, you are currently at the upper half (that has no way to get to the lower half that i know of) you'll have to back track to get that one, like start at the entrance to Messmers castle and go left don't go inside the castle and stay on the lower area, its hard to explain (heck im not sure if you already got that map fragment or not by now lol) might watch a video to get it, thay was the last map fragment i found i was so mad when i realized it was technically in the beginning area lol
Been leaving messages, but no clue where you d be at. Currently making my way through the last dungeon woohoo. I just cant seem to be able to kill melania. I dont want to ruin anything for you and spoil stuff but should you require a tip or help, let me know. I die a lot but gave a great time doing that.
Emma you gotta go back to that grace site where one of miquella's crosses are in the ancient ruins of ruah. u kinda just ran passed it. There is a crucible knight perched on a rock with a giant hammer. aside from the loot, its just a really fun enemy. it gave me a chuckle once it started using its unique moves.

There’s so many paths on the map that look like they’re heading nowhere but they actually just don’t show where they end up. The path you took to get to the last grace will have looked like a dead end on the map, but it wasn’t, so when you’re next off exploring pay attention to where hidden paths might be, because there’s lots of stuff you don’t want to miss, even in the starting area

Don't beat yourself up too much about struggling with the bosses like Messmer, doing the DLC in NG+ is no joke

Emma a hint or two if you come across two dragons fighting wait and then finish off the winner look around for an important npc. Follow his instructions to the letter otherwise Messer will look like a standard mob once you do his quest. Afterwards go back to where you fond them AND find as many fragments for you and upgrades for your summons. The last boss is well I can't wait for you to bump into said boss. And don't feel bad about using summons and npcs

As someone who recently beat messmer he was a huge pain in my ass and I saved him for like one of the final things to do. Whatever you need to do to beat that spam attacking asshole lol
That Black Shield really looks like the one in Bloodborne DLC to reflect non physical attacks

those spinny acrobat dudes are quite a handful. my only tip is that they can be staggered. i generally roll toward them as theyre doing their fucking spin attacks. they can be timed and generally if you roll toward them u can position yourself kinda behind them and reduce chances of being blendered. as opposed to rolling away, you are rolling in the direciton that they are comboing towards so if your timing is off u will just get hit over and over. but in general i try get as much damage as i can in the beginning before they start going spastic.
