I was ready to toss my machine and buy a new one. But decided to take it apart one more time, and found hair wrapped around that little pin. So glad I watched your video! Saved me $110.00!! Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you SO much for this very well explained video which enabled me, a fairly mechanically inclined lady, to feel I could undertake this repair. The pump as well as the intake reservoir were slimey and disgusting! After cleaning the pump, I taped a Qtip to a very narrow pick-type fork to reach down into the reservoir, repeating with clean Qtips until it looked clean. I let it rest over night. Today it is making nice large cubes again! Thanks again for the great video and for saving me $100!
I never would have taken this apart before watching this video, but I had a single hair too!! Hopefully it works after waiting multiple hours to turn it back on 👍🏼👍🏼 thank you so much!
If I had not watched your video, I would have not been able to fix a VERY minor water leak... I just stuck the water valve (hose) right back and it's good as new! Thank you so much for taking your time to do the video!
That’s awesome, love hearing so many success stories. Wish we could give our praises to RUclips but they are blowing us off, but glad this video helped you . That has been our goal from the beginning. Helping people brings us joy.
I’m in the middle of a 2-1/2 month camping trip in my travel trailer thru Michigan. My Frigidaire ice maker (probably all same Chinese mfr) did exactly what you described. I didn’t even think to run vinegar thru it. I do my coffee makers. I’ll do that today, see what it gets me. Very helpful video.
Thank you. My back panel was plastic and hair was wound around slowing the spin. Cleaned the magnets and it's blowing the water into the tray and freezing right now. I've learned I will drink much more if what I'm drinking doesn't have ice in it. I'm in Florida and my ice maker is about 14 years old. I make enough ice for a week in twelve hours with my old Emerson. You gave me the courage to tackle it.
Just fixed our Dreamiracle model with the help of your video. Same problem (lots of long hair in our family) and other than a gazillion screws to disassemble, same exact method. Thanks very much!
Great video, my Frigidaire was identical to what you had. Took the pump apart, removed the debris and now you can't even hear the pump running! Thanks for posting this!
That’s awesome… we love hearing stories like this. So glad the video helped to fix your ice maker and prevent you from purchasing a new one. Thank you for the positive feedback
Thanks for taking apart your ice maker the 2nd time to walk us through all of this! I was about 1 minute from tossing this guy in the trash after the water sensor cleaning didn't work. Glad I checked RUclips again :) Working like a champ and got a nice cleanup while I had it all apart. Should have ice tomorrow :)
Thanks heaps! Glad I found this video I was able to fix the problem of my ice maker, I found a plastic in the water pump it's finally working again! I thought I wouldn't be able to use it anymore I just got this 2 days old Hicon ice maker it was working when it arrived then after a day suddenly it stopped pumping water. You're a life saver
Glad this video is here. I couldn't figure out what was going on (although mine started working after 2 hours upright). None of the other troubleshooting videos or websites addressed this issue with the freon.
I followed all your instructions, turns out a small piece of plastic was lodged in our water pump which was causing it not to pump or detect water. Thank you for the video!!!!
Absolutely love hearing this! We have no idea so many icemakers would have the same problem. We thought it might be just a few, but wow! So many icemakers could have been thrown away. You are welcome and thank you so much for the positive feedback!
Thank you for this video! Great job tinkering with it. I was about to throw mine out. Even If I can't fix mine, I'll still open it up and see what I can find. Thanks again!
Thank you! Just finished repairing my ice maker. Yes it was hair! I recommend the Emerson brand because pump is in back with easy access and covers or plastic so didn't have to worry about cutting myself. Thanks again.
You are very welcome! That’s awesome news, thank you so much for sharing! Nice to know on the Emerson brand, too. We will look into that when this one is unrepairable, enjoy that ice!
I was thinking to myself that I might put a strip of duct tape on the sharp steel edges until I "hopefully" figure out what is wrong with my ice machine. It sure would be nice for me not to go to the hospital for stitches ;)
Thank you for your video. It helped me out a lot. My igloo actually had a different problem then yours but thanks to your clip I was able to take the machine apart to get to the problem area. Past the pump where it is pumping the water into the reservoir was a little build up of some fuzz that directed the water behind the reservoir. Result.....water ran behind and then back down...the machine cycled without any water/ice and finished with nothing. Once the fuzz was removed it fills the reservoir again and life is good. Thanks for your clip again.....👍
Awesome, you are very welcome and thank you so much for taking the time out to share how you fixed yours. It’s always nice to find a simple fix to things that seem so complicated.
Thank you for the Demo. I also had a piece plastic debris in the pump. The "Add water" indicator would remail on, as water was not pumped to the ice making recipient.
Your welcome, we truly had no idea so many ice makers were going to have this problem. We love hearing the success stories. Glad this video helped and thank you for the positive feedback.
This video was SOOOO helpful! Thank you! My pump wasn't coming on....took it apart and there was some hair in it. Cleadn it, cleaned off the coils, and it is working great!
That type of pump is similar to the ones used in automatic pet water fountains. An enclosed ice maker is obviously a lot cleaner than a pet bowl but my experience was that the pet water system had to be taken apart and thoroughly disinfected and cleaned at least once a week. As you saw, they are not tolerant of any debris whatsoever. One hair or bit of plastic would easily be enough to shut it down. Great DIY fix!
Excellent vid!! Mine is doing exactly the same thing and dumping water back into the reservoir and not reaching the ice making nozzles. Obviously a blockage or impeller jamming due to debree etc. Lookin' forward to the challenge of stripping it down and diagnosing the prob. Cheers from Glasgow, Scotland!!
@@paulcummins902 ugh…OK, it almost sounds like A compressor or Freon issue which unfortunately might make this machine done. Sorry if it is but keep looking, it might be something else.
Thanks for the tip , ours is 3 years old and about a year ago I had to replace one of the limit switches that dumps the ice , replaced both to be safe , will now check my pump ! Thanks again and tell your wife that she gave you Great Moral Support !
Your welcome, good luck, hopefully you get many more years out of your ice machine. We still giggle about this video because at that time I believe my hair was just as long as hers LOL.
I have a german shepherd that sheds like crazy and I'm pretty sure the small clump came from him...but followed your tutorial (and being a complete idiot when it comes to anything mechanical) it worked like a charm...up and running well! Thank you, sir!
Thanks for the video it was very informative learned a lot about my ice maker it stopped working on me I self cleaned it left it unplugged for a few days I removed the parts like you said in the video but one thing I’ve noticed is that the fan would run for only a few minutes and stop so I cleaned the fan and whatever else I could find that had dust on it crossing my fingers and toes it’s been running for the last half and hour and now we have ice in the tray, Again thanks for the info..
You’re very welcome, hopefully it’s still Making ice and those problems are over. The ice machine in the video still to this day is working great and yep, the fan periodically will do the same thing. It seems the electrical system in these things get a mind of their own sometimes. Thank you so much for the detailed positive feedback.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video, I just saw on fb market place someone was giving away one like this style but it's a magic chef and I'm thinking there probably made very similar, the gentleman said it was working and one day it was making the Ice slow or something so there giving it away, I said all take it, our ice maker in our fridge has broken so I was looking for one, I saw this and now I have it, im going to look it over and first just do the vinegar first thing and clean it up and see what happens, thanks again
You are welcome, please let us know the results. Good chance you are about to have a working ice machine for free. All these models are built about the same and usually after 3-4 cycles, it really starts speeding up making ice steady and fast. Thank you so much for the positive feedback and good luck!
Thank you ! With your video you save us over $100.00 It was a same issue not feeding enough water and we found some residue at the pump intake and now is working like a champ.
Thanks for the advice. My pump had 2 small pieces of dirt in it. Didn’t have to remove the front. Also, checked motor with a multimeter to make sure the pump was ok.
Thank you for your video!! Mine managed to get dog hair stuck in there with 2 good old boys here who shed like no tomorrow 😖 Got mine back up and running though!! I never like to replace anything til I give it a whack and fixing it lol
I've been having this problem for a few months. I figured out the cause but was uncomfortable "fixing" the issue without better understanding the internals. Your video was extremely helpful.
@@reallystrangebuttrue I finally got around to doing the job and found nothing in the impeller. I did a thorough vinegar cleaning at the same time which seems to have resolved the problem.
Many thanks for showing how to fix the ice maker. Same thing, it was a single hair wrapped around the spindle. It made so much ice. I had put this one in storage since it wasn't making much ice. Now I feel more confident about seeing if I can repair my other one. Update - now both ice makers are working. A little appliance cleaner did the trick. The coils were full of dusk.
Thank you!!! I watched your video and it was hair that was in the motor of my Nostalgia Portable Ice Maker motor. It wss sucking water from the reservoir but there was not enough power from the motor to push the water to the top of the water hose and into the freezer water tray.
1 I turn my machine on and it fill it up and like I'm supposed to and it doesn't pump water it just the red light comes on says Add Water when it's full
Thank u!! I almost bought a new ice maker and I did this and there was 2 pieces of hair inside the motor and lint where the water comes out from the tube was dirty and this is why the ice had an odd taste!! I fixed it!!

I took it apart and dated how you did it and mine had hair wrapped around the pump to thank you for this excellent video is very helpful and work out perfect
Mine quit working. I almost threw it away but luckily I didn't. Thanks for the video, that was the problem with magic Chef . Saved me from buying a new one! 😀
@@danagumm6425 that is awesome Dana. Mine is doing everything normal, but the coil not getting cold to make ice. But every other moment is perfect. Was curious in case maybe it’s my problem.
A good video, very helpful...I had an H2O tube that had a hole and needed to replace it...however I have a Magic Chef model, and like the guy says, models differ...so I had to loosen the nut/bolts for the compressor so I had access to the H20 pump plus remove the front cover taking out the screws on the bottom of the unit...so we were able to remove the H20 pump and take out the damaged H20 tube (video does well to show that)...the bolts and nuts holding the compressor in place are metric 10mm just so you know...got it all back together but had to tweak the cover to get the screws lined up for placing the front cover back in place...Oh when you take the front cover off you will have to separate it from the insulation, pretty much forcibly taking it off...again a good video but lacking the obstacles you face when doing this..thanks
So glad you were able to repair yours. Every model is different and have different obstacles. Thank you for sharing your experience and learned knowledge as you repaired yours
Thank you so much ice machine pump wasnt working in the motor there was a peice of glass we have a bar and there was a glass that broke fell of shelf from vibration from loud music this video helped a lot thanks!❤
** IMPORTANT - Be sure icemaker is *NEVER* level or tilted to the right facing it from the front of the machine. Better to shim two of the rubber feet with folded cardboard so it is slightly tilted to the LEFT. Why? When it fills the bucket, it *intentionally* *overflows* it to chill the remaining water. If the machine is tilted to the right, water runs down the right end of the bucket, drips on the STEEL motor bushing/STEEL shaft creating RUST. This WILL eventually seize bucket motor.
We have up to four icemakers that need repair. Have not checked the pump on any of them. Thanks for the freon tip to let it stand for 12-24 hours before start up. That wasn't done either. Also check for lime scale on the sensor. Just scrape off with your fingernail. The scale makes it think the icemaker is overfull.
You are welcome, thank you so much for the tips and positive feedback. Ever since we have been running distilled water in our machine, the scaling, mold, oder etc. has not been an issue, it’s 99% better by using the distilled water. Good luck on the four ice makers that need repair and please let us know what you find.
I’ve watched 20 of these videos and took mine apart a hundred times only to realize the little flap had flipped all the way up and was getting stuck on the probes lmao. Lost a couple hours but hey, I’ve got ice!
Mine just kicked the bucket. Only a year old and I clean it weekly. Everything seems to work, power wise but the fan. The week before it stopped producing ice I noticed it sounded louder. I clean it weekly but I too have long hair, so maybe that’s the issue. When I went to inspect the issue it looked like I never cleaned it before. It had yellow and dark sluggish stuff, likely from not working. But before I go Black Friday shopping I’m going to give this a try. They certainly aren’t cheap. I never tried cleaning it with vinegar but just spring water, because we have hard water.
Welp, I only have a single spare part after reassembly so - we'll find out how well it works tomorrow. Wish I'd watched your method of removing the water pump before I took the bottom plate off. WOW that's a bear to get back on correctly.
You’re welcome, thank you for the positive feedback. We are very surprised to see you just how many thousands of these have had hair make their way into the pump. Hopefully you discover the same and you’re back up and running, just remember you do not need to take the front cover off, we did that for videoing purposes and a lot of these icemakers have drain plugs on the bottom, so you do not have to tilt it on the side but, if you do turn it on the side, please make sure it sits upright position for 24 hours before plugging it back in and running it.
Bought a very similar ice maker as yours for our camper and wished I had tried it out while it was under warranty. My ice maker goes completely its necessary functions but it will not make ice.. Could you give me some advice please.
The biggest problem with these small ice-cube makers is that, if you leave them even a small amount of time, mould starts forming... and it's almost impossible to entirely remove. It has a reservoir that you can't get to, so you'll never know what's growing in there. So, be wary of these things - they do work - but 'health wise' may not be that good. After my first one became infested with Black Mould, I threw it away. Now - with a simple 'redesign' (Getting rid of surplus plastic) I have device that I can place my Canned beverage of choice into and have it cooled within seconds.
Thanks for the video... found the hair single strand. When putting back water hose it’s actually resting on the coil and can’t get it to move away from it will this be an issue with any heat burning the plastic hose or not?.. after one nasty cut don’t want to play around!!!!
You’re welcome, was the hose always resting on it? If not, It could possibly get hot enough to cause damage but in situations like this I always find it best to step away from it and mess with it an hour later or even the next day. If you’re doing something wrong, it’s usually an aha moment after stepping away from it. Please let us know how this goes, thank you for watching.
I’m going to try this out today! This could very likely be my problem as I am constantly loosing my hair from chemo or it could be a couple cat hairs sucked into the pump. I’ll get back to yinz (Pittsburgh lingo) lol and let yinz know how it works out for me! On SS so I don’t have $140 laying around to just buy another one. 💕😊💕
Hopefully that is the issue and you have this problem resolved. Our lingo is all over the place since I’m from Minnesota, my wife is from Louisiana and we live in Arkansas lol it’s some crazy twang for sure! Sorry for your battle with cancer, 😢 we will be praying for you.
A lot of these models like this one are mirror images just with a different name. All made in China. You don't need to take the front cover off. The back comes off easily and most anything that is replaceable can be accessed from there. You will need a magnetized screw driver to replace the pump and be careful when you take it apart there is a small gasket inside that is clear and you could lose it. If pump is not working most likely it is a problem with the limit switches so check that first! You don't need to let it sit for 24 hours maybe an hour will do it. There is oil in the compressor and you don't want to slug it if you have turned it upside down but an hour is plenty of time on this unit as it is only a small compressor with very little liquid.
You can pull the pump and clear the impeller blades from the top side without tearing the complete pump apart. Use a pair of fine point tweezers and remove any trash or hair.
@@glennroach1834 Mr Roach, hello sir, the pump is a little bitty thing and easy to take apart and reassemble. Just be careful to do it on a table to not lose a small part!
@@MD12134MD I don't know what prints you are talking about but if the water is circulating and the fan is running and the compressor is running then I would try to blow the condenser coils off.
Hi. Any advice on fixing the tray that pushes the ice into the bin? Ours gets stuck. Makes a humming sound. I assume there is a sensor issue but not sure. Thanks!
Hello and thank you for watching, since it is getting hung up, I would not assume it would be the sensor. If there is a way that you can make sure nothing is catching all the moving parts for the basket, then my guess would be there’s a problem with the motor that operates the arms for the basket. I would unplug the unit and take a flashlight and investigate heavily inside the basket/ice tray area before removing the cover to find the linkage motor and just do an inspection of the motor that runs it. If it is malfunctioning, it should have a part number on it and should be very easy and affordable to replace. Hope this helps you out.
It is the refrigeration OIL that runs out of a compressor that is turned on it's side, NOT the Freon. And yes, it is best to allow ANY refrigerating device that has been upended to sit upright for several hours to let the oil flow back. BUT...not to fret. During operation, whether it is an air conditioner, a refrigerator, ice make or what, the circulating Freon entrains a certain amount of the oil and carries it throughout the system as it circulates. I've been a refrigeration tech for over 40 years,
Have you ever replaced ice sensor? Our Improvements portable ice make makes wonderful cubes. The problem is sensor does not recognize the full basket anymore. I did clean sensors but it did not help.
Good morning and thank you for watching, we have not replaced the sensors yet, but when the day comes, we will give it a try. It should be somewhat easy. I would say the most difficult thing is going to be tracking down that part.
You are welcome, I am completely amazed how many of these icemakers have pieces of plastic in them straight from the manufacture. Thank you for taking the time to look instead of throwing it away and buying another one that could possibly have the same problem.
Any situation like that, I just like to start digging in and looking for what could be causing it and I believe someone mentioned in the comments just recently that the linkage motor was not working and they were going to replace that part.
Perfect example of how RUclips is a lifesaver thanks so much

I’m in the middle of a 2-1/2 month camping trip in my travel trailer thru Michigan. My Frigidaire ice maker (probably all same Chinese mfr) did exactly what you described. I didn’t even think to run vinegar thru it. I do my coffee makers. I’ll do that today, see what it gets me. Very helpful video.
So glad this video helped you. These ice makers are do good to have while in an RV. Thanks for the positive feedback
That’s awesome! You are very welcome, we love to hear stories like this, thank you so much for the positive feedback!
Thank you! 30 minutes later, clean and running. Hair in the pump. This was a yard sale find for $10.
Thank you! Who would of thought a strand of hair would cause such a problem! IT's fixed and making ice again!
😊
Thanks. I’m afraid to open my Igloo. I’ll order an Emerson next.
Same thank you so much my costway ice maker had the exact same problems!!!! Now it's up and running again thanks to you!!!!!
Fantastic news, glad it worked out for you and hopefully you’re up and running for a long while, thank you so much for the positive feedback.
LS Thank you for the positive feedback! Agreed, Those pumps are delicate yet powerful and useful in many applications.
Good luck it’s not too bad of a job and well worth the work. They will all do it eventually. Let us know how it goes for you.
mine had a kink in the hose just fixed the kink and it worked great.
Im having issues with this same ice maker. Ill give this a try after i get home from work. Im trying to descale it right now. Thanks for this video.
You’re welcome, and remember you do not need to remove that front panel just the back one unless you want to.
Let us know the results please.
@@reallystrangebuttrue that was not the issue. The water is flowing fine but its not forming ice.
@@paulcummins902 ugh…OK, it almost sounds like A compressor or Freon issue which unfortunately might make this machine done. Sorry if it is but keep looking, it might be something else.
@@reallystrangebuttrue its a bummer. Ive only bought the ice machine in November and used it 5 or 6 times.
@@paulcummins902 You should have a warranty on it if it’s that new.
Super grateful for this video. Was more than one single hair when I stripped the pump assembly down but working like new now!
Excellent. I cannot believe my ice maker had the same problem! Now I have to let it rest a day before I can turn it on to try it! Thanks a million.
It is truly amazing how many icemakers have this happen, you are very welcome and hopefully yours keeps on running as ours is still to this day.
I will try this tomorrow! I hope it’s that much of an easy fix for me. Mine just stopped making ice all of a serene also.
I have a german shepherd that sheds like crazy and I'm pretty sure the small clump came from him...but followed your tutorial (and being a complete idiot when it comes to anything mechanical) it worked like a charm...up and running well! Thank you, sir!
Thanks for the video it was very informative learned a lot about my ice maker it stopped working on me I self cleaned it left it unplugged for a few days I removed the parts like you said in the video but one thing I’ve noticed is that the fan would run for only a few minutes and stop so I cleaned the fan and whatever else I could find that had dust on it crossing my fingers and toes it’s been running for the last half and hour and now we have ice in the tray,
Again thanks for the info..
@@reallystrangebuttrue I agree that they're all built about the same, just like so many other appliances out there.
Thank you ! With your video you save us over $100.00 It was a same issue not feeding enough water and we found some residue at the pump intake and now is working like a champ.
Fantastic! That’s news I love to hear. You are very welcome and thank you so much for the positive feedback.
Your welcome, thank you so much for the positive feedback. We agree on that. So much cheaper and always so rewarding to be able to fix it yourself
I've been having this problem for a few months. I figured out the cause but was uncomfortable "fixing" the issue without better understanding the internals. Your video was extremely helpful.
Awesome, glad it helped you out.
It’s so satisfying to have the job done and have fresh ice again. Enjoy!
That’s awesome!
You’re welcome and thank you so much for the positive feedback.
You saved me $100, sir! Excellent video.
Thank you!!! I watched your video and it was hair that was in the motor of my Nostalgia Portable Ice Maker motor. It wss sucking water from the reservoir but there was not enough power from the motor to push the water to the top of the water hose and into the freezer water tray.
That is awesome! You are welcome and thank you so much for letting me know that it saved someone else too!
Thank you.
I couldn’t find instructions to fill my machine but your video of going through it helped me figure it out.
Hey, glad it helped. If you have any questions on your ice maker that’s not in the video in the future feel free to ask
That’s awesome, thank you so much for positive feedback. So glad to save you from having to buy another one that would just do the same thing.
Thank you so much for this video it’s what’s going on with my machine water tank stayed full and I knew the pump was working just didn’t know where the pump was I do know it’s good to get help because I’m the type of person that doesn’t get others involved that’s the way I’ve always been , I’m a do it myself type of person , plus when your short on funds well you have to figure things out , so thank god for you tube .
You are very welcome, we are the same way and to just go buy new ones that will do the exact same thing is just throwing money away. Thank you so much for the positive feedback god bless!
A bit tight in there but took it apart, cleaned the impeller as you did and it works like a charm.
Thank you!
That’s awesome! You’re welcome.
Glad this video helped you out and your icemaker is up and running again. Thank you for the positive feedback.
I took it apart and dated how you did it and mine had hair wrapped around the pump to thank you for this excellent video is very helpful and work out perfect
thank you I just did what you said to do and my ice maker is working again now,I was ready to throw it out
Mine quit working. I almost threw it away but luckily I didn't. Thanks for the video, that was the problem with magic Chef . Saved me from buying a new one! 😀
That’s is awesome!! We love hearing stories like this. So glad the video helped you and saved you money. Thanks for the positive feedback
Great video!! I think my pump crapped out but I’m glad that I tried to fix it. It had hair and dirt all inside!!! I use purified water 💧
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo. Not enougn to solve my problem (at the end, the pump was ok) but it helped me to move forward!
Cheers from Brazil, you saved our mom's ice maker. Thank you very very very much!!!
That’s fantastic! You’re welcome and thank you so much for the positive feedback!
Thank you for this video! Fixed my ice maker in 10-20 minutes because the tube had melted and cracked.
You’re welcome, that’s a new one with a melted tube, glad you got it running again.
Thank you for the positive feedback.
How’s you fixed it if it was melted ?
@@goochmcduck4285 I bought new tubing at Home Depot to replace the melted tubing. I measured it and cut it and swapped it out.
** IMPORTANT - Be sure icemaker is *NEVER* level or tilted to the right
facing it from the front of the machine. Better to shim two of the
rubber feet with folded cardboard so it is slightly tilted to the LEFT.
Why? When it fills the bucket, it *intentionally* *overflows* it to
chill the remaining water. If the machine is tilted to the right, water
runs down the right end of the bucket, drips on the STEEL motor
bushing/STEEL shaft creating RUST. This WILL eventually seize bucket
motor.
You are very kind and patient.
Aww, thank you so much! I really appreciate that and I hope this video helped you out.
Mines had no blockage in the pump but blockage in the water tube i cleaned out with a small wore brush for cleaning straws thank you so much!
That’s awesome! You are welcome, thank you for the positive feedback.
@@reallystrangebuttrue anytime! 😊
Hope it’s working well, yes that is very tricky.
Thank you for this video! I also agree with vinegar being best cleaner but the hair you discovered is possibly what’s wrong with mine.
Yep, This demonstration was super helpful! Thank you!
Cant thank you enough for this video! This is what was wrong with my icemaker! Now it is working like new.. A million thanks ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We love hearing this! You are very welcome and thank you so much for the positive feedback.
@@reallystrangebuttrue What sweet response. I hope she's doing great enjoying her icy drinks. ♥️
Great video and information!! Helped in fixing my loud pump.
Awesome! Thank you for the positive feedback.
Make sure to Blow the fan out with compressed air every so often. If the fins cant get enough air running through it, the ice wont get cold enough.
A few hours upright was my experience as well.
What should I do if the prints are not getting cold, and therefore not making ice? Everything else works.
@@MD12134MD I don't know what prints you are talking about but if the water is circulating and the fan is running and the compressor is running then I would try to blow the condenser coils off.
Thank you for a great video. My ice maker water tray does not move. Any idea what the pronlem could be.
Yep a piece of hair and plastic in the pump. Works fine now. Thanks
That’s awesome, you are very welcome and thank you for the positive feedback.
So cute when you talked about your wife’s hair’s longer than yours but then told her it wasn’t her fault!! Great husband!! 😅
Nice analysis and procedure.

Thanks for the detailed video. Cleaned the hose, pump was clean, but still putting out small cubes. Any suggestions from here?
Thank you! I had a piece of plastic in the blades
You are welcome, I am completely amazed how many of these icemakers have pieces of plastic in them straight from the manufacture.
Thank you for taking the time to look instead of throwing it away and buying another one that could possibly have the same problem.

“I’m not blaming you honey” GOOD SAVE MAN!
Ours makes ice but the "flapper" doesn't rise and push the ice into the basket. Any suggestions on what to look for?
Any situation like that, I just like to start digging in and looking for what could be causing it and I believe someone mentioned in the comments just recently that the linkage motor was not working and they were going to replace that part.
Yes this video help me a lot thank you so much.
