I watched this quite late but that won't stop me from giving my opinion,
So there's this thing of temperaments, different people have different ways they approach the world and this starts way from childhood,a child may not actually be disobedient but when it's her temperament, or maybe a parent's,
I think if one takes time to identify oneself and then appreciate how different he or she is from another (even with ur offspring) it's easy to deal with each other talk of discipline
Thanks for the show lovelies ❤❤❤

So I shared that when this episode airs, I will tell you how it is going. I have both good and bad news.
    Not so great news
Bianca was promoted to another class (this happens alot with the ACE curriculum incase you are wondering how a child gets promoted after one term 😂😂) so she wouldn't be with her new teacher. I was sad.
    Great news
God has been asking me to do something and I was being disobedient (like Jonah 😂), I didn't think that I was being disobedient though. Long story short, I asked him for a sign that I was disobedient 😅😅. The sign was an obedient Bianca; she changed OVERNIGHT. I fell to my knees and I am doing what God asked me to do.

Angie, thank you soo much. I 100% agree with you. The point is not spanking to injur but spanking to discipline. Which means do it privately not to bring shame to the child, do it only when necessary, do it with the reason clearly stated to the child, mention the number of spanks so that you as a parent remains in control of yourself while spanking the child and come out with your child happily, ready to move onto the next chapter.
Lastly me as a Christian, I always show my boys the scripture that tells the children to obey their parents alongside the spare the rod and spoil the child verse. We do a study and it has helped alot.

I have a three year old who doesn't obey that easily. She will do what she wants, and she will fight for it. But it has recently become tricky, she disturbs the girl who helps wanting to destroy everything and also touching very dangerous things like lighting a matchbox wanting to light the gas, plugging things chargers in electricity, this is a point where iam really spanking and very very hard, what puzzles me is that she knows exactly she is doing wrong things and apologises when you ignore her promises to not do it again but does again 😞. Obedience is a good topic; I think I understand Angie on mental health ''speaking negative things into a child because they are defiant, I remember adults that would verbally abuse their children like they are stupid, you will never amount to anything if you can not follow simple instructions, etc.'' Those are adults now with very low self-esteem mostly. Character checks and development are crucial. Personally, I go for heart-to-heart talks and treat them like they understand. I teach, give guidance and also explain consequences so the choice is theirs.

The best way to make children understand why it’s important to “listen to you”, is by creating a relationship at eye level( & NO, you will not lose their respect because they know that you are the adult). Communicate clearly, make the children understand why they should do what you require of them, how it affects them, you, and everyone around them. Plus, always offer them the possibility to air their sentiments and that there is always room for their opinions ( believe me, you will learn a thing or two from your kids ).
Do not be a BOSS, be a parent, and parenting will get easier.
NB:It breaks my heart to see that young intelligent mothers are even comfortable with SPANKING!!😢😢
Child abuse should stop with us !
I will gladly offer a free consultation to any mums here that need guidance on intentional parenting.
Let’s protect, love, be the safe space and raise undamaged humans.

I was following your advice until the child abuse statement. Spanking a child with love to help grow into good citizens is different from coporal punishments like the ones teachers used to use back in the 90's. Unless a parent is injuring a child, there's no problem with sparing the rod. It's not for everyone, every parent should parent the way they see fit without being judged.

    • @CAA_AB8
      @CAA_AB8 Год назад +11

@RUZHOFFS, I think you are being melodramatic.
As a highly learned and educated mother, I am a strong believer that every parent is an expert on what works for their child(ren). It's beneficial for parents to be informed on substantial science, but it's hammy you claiming, "it breaks my heart to see young intelligent mothers are comfortable with spanking. Child abuse should stop with us". Stop the RIDICULOUSNESS!!
I don't see anything triggering your sadness.
Manuela, Rachel, Angie and Rossette aren't abusing their children.
If my child after several clear conversations and warnings continues to be willfully defiant of authority, I'll sapiently spank them. If that's what you term abuse, then be it.
Our children need our love, wisdom, authoritative guidance, and correction.
Prudent spanking isn't abuse as you claim, but excessive corporal punishment is.
If you're a Christian Please read Hebrews 12.

    • @RUZHOFFS
      @RUZHOFFS Год назад +2

Well, I respect all your views, but child abuse is child abuse( whether it’s mild, or “spare the rod”, ), it still doesn’t make it right.
And all your reactions are because of exactly what I said( spanked children grow into SPANKING ADULTS)!! A very unfortunate, never ending cycle 🤷‍♂️🥲

For instance, why you need to wash the glasses and cups before the plates and why saucepans should come last, or why when mopping, you need to mop from corner to corner. For an adult, those things may sound obvious but to a child, they are not.

Thank you for all your work,
Now aim a mother of 1 daughter,7yrs and 6 month now and she is in primary two.
Now my challenge with her is that, "She lacks concentration" both at home and at school, At school since primary one the teachers would tell me that if this girl of yours would concentrate she would be a very bright girl, though she performs but her poor concentration is making her not get the real marks that i expect and what the school expect from her she does not concentrate in whatever she is doing either home work, class work, she just i would say does things/tasks to finish so that she can go to the next task.
so this is affecting me quietly because i have always prayed to God to give me intelligent child which i believe she is if only she could develop concentration in whatever she would be doing.
so kindly guide me how i can handle this as a mother.
    Thank you.

Hi Manuela for me growing up my brother was the most obedient later on I asked him why he’d do everything and he said he doesn’t want our mom to nag him. He said that he had chosen peace and didn’t want to hear her voice all the time and truly my mom never a word to him this was from like 7 years when he decided to choose peace😂 so even today he is 20 and still lives at home but he does his chores and keeps quiet like do not disturb him with your noise Maybe Blake has chosen peace and not necessarily that he is a pushover

Great conversation ladies, thanks for sharing your experiences, my ka 6year old is obedient on his terms hehe when he was younger I really used to do physical alot till he asked me to stop it,and also stop shouting at him,it's been close to 3years now and our only mode is talk through so I have to always be conscious of my reactions towards his behavior so I keep the peace between us.

Growing up, my mum was a tough kinda mum, with both spanking and verbal punishment, i never liked it at all. So i have tried to be a different parent to my son. I pray that God helps me out with it. The spanking is there here and there but we talk and am proud to say that he does some things that a typical 3yr old can't do.

Angie reminds of how my mum used to smack us then she gives you porridge to eat , while eating she will talk to you . Honestly those nurturing words ( always stayed with us , we knew our mistakes and we never repeated that mistake . Secondly ,yes words affect children especially when parents say so and so ‘s child is more disciplined gwe dnt you admire them .

Technical sound check request please. There is a distracting buzzing sound like at minute 12:24 when Manuela is speaking. I have noticed the same sound in the last few videos. It lasts for a few seconds but it’s really clear and distracting especially when using earbuds. Can you please check on it?
