Yes he is the best Rochester ever with Timothy Dalton. Jayston in 1973 is quite good, but too old and too serious even at the end. The others are forgettable.

That love scene at 2:30 almost always brings tears to my eyes, it's so perfect and beautiful. You rarely get moments like that in Austen films/tv.

Toby Stephens is very handsome and definitely sexy...but IMO Timothy Dalton is the sexiest Rochester and most gorgeous of any of the Jane Eyre series.
