Matt's picking is pretty crazy. All the downpicking and then he turns the pick a different way when he does the tremolo stuff.
One of his biggest influences was metal gear ica and van halen. It makes sense

Not really, compare his vocals with the vocals of an american singer, the accent is completly different
As an American, I find it easier to sing Bullet with Matt's Half English-Half Welsh Accent than in my native one. If you sing it like an American, it sounds out of tune.

There’s an interview where Matt talks about why they strayed from the more dynamic guitar to experiment with electronic, ambient, and pop sounds. Something they’ve not really done much of before.

jayemm23 yeah,I remember Padge talk about this in an interview that Matt admit Padge have better skill than him ,but it’s Matt taught Padge how to downpick so fast in waking the demon,So I think Matt’s downpicking is better than Padge :)

Eric Valverde he is. So am I, I find myself down picking songs harder than any Metallica song I know. Except this song, I find it hard to downpick this main riff butt Matt probably wrote it so it came natural to him

That's nuts! in this riff it's so much more natural to alternate to get the open string sound, but he's such a monster downpicker he's like "Nahh fuck it"

The lack of solos is the only disappointment on that album to me
Yea it's not the bullet we all know and love. I mean that album didnt sound bad like I get that they wanted to incorporate more electronics into even though I remember once upon a time they said they would never put down the guitar for electronic sounds. But idk I just didn't feel the new album as much as the previous ones.
Where would you put a solo on this song that wouldn't break the forward momentum of this song? It's pretty tight structurally as-is and there's no nu-metal style instrumental breakdown in lieu of a solo, so to insert a 16 or 32 bar shredfest somewhere would've been unnecessary fat to an already long enough pop-structured song - in that when it's over, it's making me think, "I'm satisfied; that was a good song." I can handle really long not-pop oriented metal songs and love a good solo that can add something to a song, but it would feel like filler if there was one in this song.
Now other songs on the record, sure. Could've had a few in there.
I guess they didn't want to, but the record label pressured them into it.

Pay attention to Matt's picking hand during Triplets and Trem picking... It's freaking weird!
ghhdtui I guess there really isn’t a correct way if it works . I hold my pick weird but it works . I guess I did break my finger as well a few years back so maybe why !
I believe Matt turns his pick to its side in order to produce much less attack during tremolo picking. I’ve tried this out on Matt’s section of tremolo picking on Walking the Demon, and it sounds a bit better to my ears. On the other hand, I’ve much preferred picking as a pick was intended to be used during Padge’s section of harmony tremolo on the track.

Epic! BFMV used to be my favorite band, now is not, I used to listen to them everyday, every guitar solo used to be epic, now it’s just one more band in my playlist, I hope they take back to do heavy music like “the poison” or “venom”

2. The solo's used to be really epic, I wrote this comment 3 years ago, the new album is amazing.
3. In alive shows Padge used to have many screaming parts, that made them look more dynamic, now Jamie does all that parts, don't know is weird for me is like watching; Jamie, Matt and company.

Venom was such an unreasonably safe playing record that I almost want to put Gravity above it. I already have it above Scream Aim Fire and Temper Temper.
They released Don't Need You two years before the rest of the album. By the time they got to the rest of the songs, they were headed in a different direction. They even remixed the guitar tones on Don't Need You to sound like the rest of the songs on the album.
