- Happy Friday! Today I'll start by showing you my morning workout, and what I've been using lately for working out. I just recently had a birthday, so I'll show you a fun little birthday gift haul. Then Ill show you the new baskets I bought to help organize our mudroom as we prepare for winter.

As a mother of a December baby i used to alternate the amount of gifts between Christmas and her birthday 1 year we would focus on Christmas and have a small birthday and the next year we would go all out for her birthday and light for Christmas.it worked really worked good.when she became a teenager we changed to letting her choose how to celebrate she said having Christmas decorations up every year made her birthday feel extra special
Oh that is special! I was glad to not have a baby in December, but I know that you can still make it unique and special! 😊

We are loving gather round! On our 3rd unit and have loved all 3 so far. I downloaded the app today! I spy teaching textbooks!
Those baskets are very pretty but if you want something that can handle wet items I know Target here in US has a pretty line of plastic baskets that look like they are woven material that might work nicely for that area. Then if the items are wet/damp it won't matter. And the plastic baskets will be easy to wipe down every once in a while to clean up the inevitable dirt that will get on them. :) I LOVE that space in your home. SO smart to have a space like that to hold all the things!
Ohh I was looking for something like that too! I did end up buying three more baskets, so we’ll see how they hold up 😊
perfect video to watch on a friday morning while I drink a coffee! my kids and I often watch your videos together, so not only do we feel like we get to know you, but they feel like they know your kids as well lol. We were at the city library the other day and my 10yr old daughter was looking for books that Charity likes lol. we are also a family in the south-western ontario area. thank you for being so real in your videos, you are definitely an inspiration to many moms/women!! hope you have an amazing weekend! :)

Aren't they though? I cannot believe how mild-mannered and well-rounded the children are. Not for anything but you watch some RUclips families and the chaos that ensues in every video is staggering. My favorite is watching them at Christmas and how humble and understanding they are of the holiday and not just see it as a gift-giving occasion.

Hey Julie, Happy Friday. Awww you and Elijah in your marching jackets are so cute, I love it. I love how your middle son (I’m not sure how to spell his name) is trying to match with you and Elijah too. 😂❤ Happy Birthday to the three of you, November birthdays are great. Mine is in September but November is still a good month to have birthdays in as well. ❤ I always enjoy watching all of your videos and learning more about you and your family in each video. Happy Belated Birthday, Julie! I don't know if this trick will work for you, but supposedly if you mix 5-100 drops of peppermint oil and 25-50 drops of eucalyptus oil with a spray bottle of water and spray along the perimeters of your house, along the baseboards, windowsills, pantry, etc., it's supposed to help repel mice and other pests. It definitely worked for us for bats!

I haven’t read all the comments but you could could put a plastic liner ( bag) in the baskets to protect them just in case something damp is put in ?
I think with regards to the baskets one of the reasons why they should probably not get wet is to avoid any mildew or musty smell. If a folded up scarf or gloves get in there they won't dry properly and it will probably just make the basket smell.
I actually realized that the interior of the sides is cardboard, so if that gets wet, it’ll disintegrate. I don’t think anything just damp would wreck it, and you’re right, it’s best to not put things away damp anyways!
@@mamatofive1 oh it's cardboard in there? Funny I didn't notice that just looking at them. Will you keep them in by more or look for something that is not cardboard inside?

We went to the Mennonite Heritage Village in Winnipeg, which we really enjoyed! It was a great museum. Other than that, we drove through the province pretty quickly 😊

Happy belated birthday! My birthday falls on our American Thanksgiving this year as it did the year I was born. It's going to be a tough year because my mom just passed away in July and this will be my first birthday without my mom.
After the new year I want to start getting into sourdough baking. I bake with yeast regularly but yeast is getting quite expensive. Are there any channels or websites that you found helpful and learning how to make a starter and feed it?
