I got a ice cap today at Tim’s, the straw was great. I was shopping and it was hot out the icy part melted and the straw was still good. They must have gotten a better supplier. I like supporting small utubers but darn your 1 commercial is 2 1/2 mins. I make a beef dip in my slow cooker. I sear the whole roast or round steak really good add 3/4 c water, a pk of Au Jus and a little Italian seasoning. I slow cook 4 or 5 hrs, check it for moisture and add more water and another pk of Jus. Shred it with two forks and it’s great for a crowd and freezes great. I like to put it on Panani buns. If lots of juice you don’t need dipping juice. Your cinnamon raisin bread looks so good, I might have to try making your bread. 🇨🇦💕👍
So many scratch made meals today! Very inspiring 😊 😊 we’ve been visiting McDonald’s at least a couple times a week for their dollar drinks this summer- definitely helps with the cost for a family of 6!
Only paper straws and paper bags in New Zealand as well. Most people have metal reusable ones at home and just take/use those if they don't like the paper ones.
We got paper straws here in France, too. Me and kids were complaining about it this morning. My kids had their milk chocolate candy'up for the breakfast and the paper straws come with it. My older kids are ok with it but it takes longer to finish the drink for my 3 yr old son. So, the straw started melted and it was catastrophic. I had to tranfer to the cup and let him finish 😞
We have paper straws here in Maryland as well. I don’t understand how paper for drinking was ever thought to be a good idea. I have a collection of plastic straws in the car too 😂
Simple remedy….carry stainless steel straws. In my state in Australia we haven’t had plastic straws or plastic cutlery in about 10 years so everyone carries a personal cutlery set which includes a stainless steel straw. You also feel the coldness of the drink better too.
Yes it’s not every state. We are in VA and I’ve never seen a paper straw. We went on vacation to our neighboring state of NC and that was about all we had. Yuck

We have paper straws here too. It's quite frustrating how quickly they bend and get soft.

We have paper straws in California too. They are awful! They are not all over Cali. If just depends on the area and location.

Hate paper streaws. They tried switching here in Ca, but everyone hated them. It didn't last long. Frozen lemonade sounds wonderful!

Agreed! A slight annoyance is nothing compared to the ecological impact of plastic straws.
It’s so ironic that straws are changed to paper when wrappers, cups, etc are still all made of plastic!
