Ive gotten a offer at a hospital as a patient care technician and watching your video makes me so excited. Ive tried watching others “day in the life of a pct” but they arent detailed like yours. Can you please post more!!!
I really like your vlog. I like the fact that you got straight to the point not all the waking up and getting ready. You are very detailed 👌🏾 Thank you for that. Keep up the good work. You did good with the voice over.
Awwww.. thank you!! 🥹 I really appreciate that, especially since I over think it sometimes. Thanks again and stay tuned, there’s more healthcare content coming up 🥰😉
I once worked the job that makes those lancets. However, I now work in a quality lab for a medical supplier. I'm working in a clean room environment on night shift at 12hrs and it isn't so bad as long as you have a routine. The money along is awesome.
Ooooouuuu, I would like to know more about that honestly lol I like learning about new things and jobs going in the health care / medical field. & chillllleeeeeeee whatever job you worked at that makes those lancets must be cheap lmaoo them things are ghetto 😭
@@KenjjiArii lol..they were. And I was so glad when they transferred me to another facility. I stayed there for 5 more years until I decided I was worth more and ready to be in the quality control field. I visual inspect products and use CMMs to perform dimensional inspections of the entire product form. It's alot but I know it's a very important job and someone's health depends on those products that my facility is producing.
Wow lol it even sounds better! Glad you wasn’t afraid of change because I know some at my job who has been there for 10+ / 15+ years but are afraid to leave and do something else or do something they love 😭
I know those badges anywhere I work for Texas health here in denton but as a rep at the moment a heart lung and vascular office it’s different but I’m learning
We dont do baths unless we are helping a nurse with a bath but they are never full baths because most patients are intubated and wired up everywhere so just quick sanitary wipe downs I would say 🙃
I used to work in a rehabilitation before with like 30 bed bound patients a piece so it’s slight work to me at this point lol but this type of 24 is actually great. No biggie 😭
Its like a phlebotomy vacutainer type keychain filled with glitter and butterflies (instead of blood, which is what its for when nurses draw labs and stuff) 💗
I strongly suggest blurring your badge!! Almost all, if not all hospitals have policies against picture taking or filming in ANY patient care areas, I would even consider taking this video down...

How long did it take you to become a NICU nurse ? That’s my dream job
Im not a NICU nurse (just yet) lol
How much do they pay y’all an hour and do you have to give baths at night
We dont do baths unless we are helping a nurse with a bath but they are never full baths because most patients are intubated and wired up everywhere so just quick sanitary wipe downs I would say 🙃
How do you have your nails done I’m a patient sitter and supposedly we can’t ?
We are not supposed to butttttt 🤫🤐

💓💓💓💓
Just saying be careful with displaying your name badge and hospital. People have got in trouble with that.
Hey, thank you! I definitely thought about that but then was also wondering if it even made a difference since people already know my actual name ? 😅
Completely random but this looks like a hospital I used to work at. Is it based in North NJ? Lol
Hahaha no not at all lol it’s in Texas.
Wow, you seem to work in a nice hospital. Which state at and how many patient's per CNA and RNs? I hope the hospital treat their staff appropriately.
I get about 24 or less patients depending on the unit and day or if I’m the only CNA on the floor. 🙂
@@KenjjiArii oh, I am sorry. That is actually A LOT to handle!! 😯
I used to work in a rehabilitation before with like 30 bed bound patients a piece so it’s slight work to me at this point lol but this type of 24 is actually great. No biggie 😭
What’s the pink tubs attached to your badge ?
Its like a phlebotomy vacutainer type keychain filled with glitter and butterflies (instead of blood, which is what its for when nurses draw labs and stuff) 💗
I got it from Etsy 😉
as a nursing student are you allowed to do more things than a cna could??
In some aspects, yes. But things just cant be delegated if its not your duty or if its the nurses duty if that makes sense
They don’t complain about the length of your nails?
Not really, we are still really not supposed to have them like that but I also dont be making it noticeable that I have them done sooo yeaa 😇
I strongly suggest blurring your badge!! Almost all, if not all hospitals have policies against picture taking or filming in ANY patient care areas, I would even consider taking this video down...
I definitely went back and fixed it, thanks girl!
Does this hospital seriously allow those long ass nails? lmao
And your nursing school too for that matter. Thats a big no no
They are literally not even that long 😭😭 Ive seen worse from the actual Nurses!
And my Nursing School doesnt care only if its not in skills, lab or clinicals so yea 🤷🏽♀️
