I don't know what I thought was in the One World Trade Center but the BA Test Kitchen was not it
It's just an office building, why wouldn't BA be there? I work in a building in NYC that houses Food Network, Google, and Major League Baseball, all above a touristy marketplace for some reason. The skyscrapers have to be full of something.

Supertall skyscrapers a spare-no-expense type of deal that cost billions and billions of dollars to build, so it makes sense that each floor works like the ground floor. Plus One WTC is a brand new building (and one that has a lot of meaning behind it) so it should be able to pack a punch.

Love how Claire literally created a way to make pop rocks using her knowledge of ingredients! This girl is so freakin' smart.
I'm a little proud that the first thing I thought was: Citric acid and natron (baking powder) 😊 we have a treat like that in Germany (Brausepulver). It foams like awesome in your mouth. Great with vodka, too 😅

@@Chakrenqueen Actually natron is baking soda and used to be more difficult to find in Germany than it is now. Backpulver is baking powder and sold at every grocery store.

600 PSI is actually, literally, a pipe bomb. Any failure in the pressurized system and the counter and anyone standing next to it would be gone, not to mention the massive spray of molten sugar. Ben Krasnow knows what he's doing and has built equipment like that before. Messing around with pipe fittings in an afternoon is practically a guarantee that someone will lose their arm, their skin, or their head.

@@batfriend3773 No because a tart is kinda like a pie with no top, it's like a 9×9 circle pan with pie crust sort of thing that you can fill with custard or fruit. A poptart is more like a quick, more portable version of that made for breakfast instead of dessert. I may be wrong on some parts of the but that's just how I see the two pastries.

aviato287 x no, it isn’t easy. It may be easier with innate talent but it takes years of study and honing of your skills as a chef. Not to mention that she works as a test chef , which in my opinion is harder than being a normal chef because she works as a recipe developer which involves much more study in order to memorize which ingredients do what etc.

Aw, give Claire a chance to relax! Seeing her frustrated is only fun if it's in a "Dammit, I'm going to figure it out if it kills me!" way, not in a "I really don't want to do this and I'm not sure if I can figure it out" way. It's the difference between watching someone figure out how to solve a puzzle and watching a person's job slowly suck the enjoyment out of something they like.

We don’t want Claire to get in trouble because she is stressed. We are concerned because whoever is doing production is obviously just choosing difficult and complex items that aren’t fun. When is the last time she was actually able to make something that exists into something actually gourmet?? She can’t because she’s spending days trying to work out how to get the ingredients correct.
Gourmet should be better not that she achieved a semi passable product.
Give her reasonable tasks with room to improve on the original recipe.

To all the commenters who are concerned for Claire’s mental health: I think that her being miserable is part of the joke and it makes it more relatable because she starts out eager (except for this vid but that’s also part of the joke), then struggles and seems really annoyed, but finally she succeeds and is really proud which really shows the creative process and how it isn’t easy to do something like this. It takes time and it takes failure, and normal people aren’t just unfazed by that failure; they get upset. But Claire keeps trying even after the failures which makes her an inspiration.
