I realize this is an old video, but... is the 2-step from COBB or what system is it. I haven't heard 2-step on this car like that before. It reminded me of a YT video of a really nice Eclipse GSX with 2-step that sounded just like yours. I'll be getting a GTI in a couple of weeks and I really want mine to sound like this. I'd really appreciate it.

Love the sound! Unrelated question, does anyone know why the tail lights flash randomly after start up? I have the stock tails but I put LED reverse lights in and they each blink a few times after I start my GTI. It stops after a second but it's kind of annoying. Is that something I can change with coding?
Brandon Zhitnitsky The LEDs have resistors to prevent a check bulb error code, and part of those resistors start up check is the blinking. I believe it's something you can code deep into long coding, but it's a bit of a PITA
they blink due to canbus sending voltage to the socket to "test" the bulbs function. i have resistors in my LED fogs And plate lights. they all flash on start up

Sebastiaan Van Tol it's good. Right in the meat of cruising rpms on the highway, it gets dead silent. No drone, no vibrations. It's fantastic.

Yes you can code it out with Vcds. You need to go into long coding and uncheck cold diagnostics on the bulbs that have leds installed.
