    Nice vid! If you get the hybrid, you also get fully independent rear suspension, a 6 speed dual clutch tranny replacing the CVT, and wonderful response from the peppy electric motor working with the gas engine. You also get 50+ MPG, which puts money in your pocket with every mile you drive. I bought mine in Feb 2023, and I just love it!

    I had a 2021 Elantra as a loaner for a day and it was a base model. Pros: sexy, spacious, drives really well, never felt underpowered for city and slight highway driving. Tuned very nicely for what it is.
    Cons: some parts of the interior felt cheap. I don’t mind hard plastics as long as they feel solid but I was surprised that the big centre arm handle was as creaky/moveable as it was. I love the design of it , just needs to be more solid.
    Also, infotainment worked great except when playing my music through car play on my iPhone 8plus. On my 25 min drive home it cut out randomly many times, even when plugged in. Also minor gripe, but annoying with some of Hyundai’s new models they flipped the toggle for scrolling through songs through the steering wheel(aka now it’s push down to move to next song instead of pushing up)
    Great review as always brother 👍👌

      Ahh yes the music selection I always forget to mention that in these reviews 😅 it is so annoying that down is the next track but oh well some things will never make sense and we just need to roll with it

    Nice review - in Canada the SEL is call Preferred and you loose the dual heating controls (base controls); but they give you the leather wheel and shifter and heated steering wheel instead. The digital dash is rare as you have to go to the Limited (called Ultimate here) plus a $2700 tech package on top of that.

    This new Elantra looks like a Lamborghini and Audi had a baby. I can see both style influences. This is a head turner! Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are Rocky stories of the Auto industry...I currently drive a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited. Even one of my friends, who owns a Toyota Corolla SE, is so jealous of the features my car offers. I'm looking to upgrade next year. Torn between the new Elantra Limited or Kia K5 GT-Line.

      Hyundai and Kia are about the same, Hyundai does tend to be more refined than Kia I agree and Kia is the slightly sportier variant but as of recently, Idk they both have started to feel similar and Kia is getting softer. Genesis is their true luxury brand or their "Lexus" if you will

    I think the Korean carbuilders are on to something. Building a very good car for a reasonable price. My daughter bought a new Hyundai Tiburon against my advice. It was not super refined, but she drove it 180k with only general maintenance. Kind of reminds me of 40 years ago when the Japanese carbuilders used a similar formula to eat the American manufacturers lunch. Value is a hard thing to argue against. With that said, Honda and Toyota remain the master of making the best cars for the dollar from the least expensive all the way up in my opinion, how far Korean cars have come is pretty impressive. Great review Kevin, never know whats coming next, but it's always great

      Yea I def agree they offer a lot of standard features and undercut the competition. Can someone explain to me how Kia is able to lease cars so cheap? I’ve seen it where it’s just $2k down and like $179 per month which is ridiculously cheap.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  3 года назад

      It equates to about $250 a month that's inline with the competition but I saw on Hyundais website that was only for SE trim. If you could get a well equipped SEL that's not so bad

    • @Argedis
      @Argedis 3 года назад +1

      That's subjective. It's also $2899 down which is nearly $3k.
      Leasing a car is the worst and most expensive way to get a car.
      Car companies are not stupid, they never lose money on a lease. In 36 months you would have paid $9,343. The car will not have gone down in value more than that, because the car companies would lose money if it did. When they get the car back, you will have paid them more than the car has depreciated during that time.
      Not only are you paying for depreciation you are essentially borrowing money at an ridiculously high interest rate and because the Federal Trade Commission has determined that this is not a debt, there is no federal disclosure involved. This is why the 'buyout' never equals the original price the minus the $ you paid.
      Not to mention you'll get charged for excess wear & tear + excess mileage and if you decline the buyout you have no car to show for the $9k you spent on a $19k car.
