This car is achingly beautiful, the side view is astonishing. Then you read the specs and it gets EVEN better. Alien Newey is a better fitting name for this genius.
Im a professional aerodynamicist, aeronautical engineer - and I think what Adrian has created here is not only pure engineering art but any art. It looks fantastic, very extreme yet it is still beautiful. I wish he would also create something accessible, like a Lotus Elan of 1960s. But then with present manufacture legislation, the numbers to make it accessible jsut dont add up. Unless it is E-vehicle - and then most of us old geezers are no longer interested.
@21sled When did Red Bull/Newey pull out of the Valkyrie project? You've just made that up. Red Bull Racing once had Renault engines that weren't called Renault engines, and they had no Auto partnership... So RBR teamed up with Aston Martin, who sponsored the F1 team and they jointly-developed the Valkyrie. Aston Martin kept the IP to Valkyrie, because Red Bull has Newey... They later decided to develop the RB17.

This car is Adrian Newey unleashed. For those who don't follow F1, Adrian Newey is one of the best automotive engineers of our time, if not all time. He has singlehandedly brought championship wins to teams for decades in F1, and has proven himself time and time again in what is arguably the most competitive motorsport when it comes to the development race of cars. It's basically a meme in F1 at this point, whoever has Adrian Newey on their team will be winning the championship. This car is a showcase of his abilities, and is probably what he wanted to achieve with the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, but wasn't allowed to do.
Can we all just thank Kazunori Yamauchi for what he has initiated? I hated the Vision GT cars for being unrealistic. How the tables have turned! All it does now was making the "unrealistic" into the real world! Unbelievable!

Honestly, I don’t think he’s going to any racing series. He’s 65, probably wants to step back and enjoy life. He’s been talking about building a boat and sailing round the world. Even if he does stay in F1, where would he go? Ferrari is a no, nobody his age is uprooting his whole life and moving his family to Maranello. Mercedes already have James Allison. McLaren have their own three man TD team that seems to be working well for them. The only options really are Aston or Williams. Williams actually seems more likely, I can’t see Adrian enjoying working for a man like Lawrence Stroll
Man is old, I think he's just going to sit aside and watch what's going on. I don't expect him to join another team and I would be very surprised if he does tbh.
I'd love a session with Adrian. Just explaining why you don't want the wheel wake under the floor, what "keeping the floor edge energized" and "tidy and good energy" means.

Not really there were rumors coming out in 2021 late cycle of Valkyrie. A. Newey was talking of a road car with 1250 hp V8 hybrid in mid summer 2022. Name was RB17. I guess didn't like the limits on Valkyrie and went all in on RB17.
As if buying another track focused hypercar were an issue for these people. They will buy both and then park them next to each other in a garage, never to be used again
Valkyrie owners will be fine because this is a track exclusive car. This is an AMR Pro competitor and anyone able to buy one will probably buy this as well.
It's like a real life Red Bull x2010, what a beautiful car and prob rediculous speed. So cool to hear Newey say that Gran Turismo partially inspired this masterpiece
I'd like to see E-motors incorporated in daily drivers. No 1st gear, no 2nd gear because R is a combination of 1st & 2nd. Could make transmissions smaller, lighter, and more reliable, and not sacrifice any performance. It's an excellent innovation that has a real practical use for the every day consumers. Too bad traditional car makers haven't adapted it. The motors don't have to be gigantic Model S motors. Just a relatively sized battery, and a rear drive motor incorporated into the rear diff with a disconnect clutch on a conventional car is all you'd need.
Every aspect melted into a single purpose..... purified intent. Appreciated what he said about the hotch potch of designers issue. A musical harmony of specialists with the same hymn sheet, rather than a cacophany of uncoordinated noise.
Ok hear me out. Forget F1. Build 22 of this screaming V10 beasts, put the best drivers of the world in them and race on only old school circuits all over the planet.
OMG as an F1 nerd this is hard to watch. Because of this masterpiece that we´ve been waiting for since decades now, but also because of the way the host almost ignores all the interesting questions. When you have his Majesty there saying holy words like fan blown diff, active aero, active suspension etc I would have a million questions but he doesnt even seem to be into that...
This could be what the Valkyrie was always supposed to be but a slew of obstacles specifically cost cutting on the part of an already financially weakened AM, project in-fighting and technical problems plus RB/Newey eventually departing while the car was still in development effectively hampered it from reaching an even more legendary status. That car was also a brainchild of Adrian Newey and developed in collaboration with Red Bull racing but basically with an Aston Martin badge stuck on it. Great to see the difficult and protracted gestation period for the Valkyrie didn't dampen Newey's passion from developing another amazing machine.
This is the car from Grand Turismo 3 brought to life that brought me so much joy, a two seater version and slightly less race focus. I hope someone builds the Grand Turismo 3 version with the central seating one day.
Newey knows what it means 'to grok'. What a 'once in a lifetime' dreamcar this is. An exquisite masterpiece. That 'in your face' Michelin logo on the tyre though. :) I'd like to see other performance tyre companies returning to compete in F1.
5 million is the upfront cost, to keep ot in driving condotion you have to pay for life support for as long as you own it, after 5 years of "servicing" you pay enough for a whole new car

Almost too beautiful. It looks shockingly fast! Light as a feather & it has a ridiculous amount of power. Yea, I could fall in love with that car!
Lmao they pulled out of the Valkyrie project to build a better Valkyrie 😂😂
And Valkyrie almost bankrupted Aston ;D
Except this can't go on the road...
@@Przybylski713wait, really?
@21sled When did Red Bull/Newey pull out of the Valkyrie project? You've just made that up.
Red Bull Racing once had Renault engines that weren't called Renault engines, and they had no Auto partnership... So RBR teamed up with Aston Martin, who sponsored the F1 team and they jointly-developed the Valkyrie.
Aston Martin kept the IP to Valkyrie, because Red Bull has Newey... They later decided to develop the RB17.
@@JippaJthis is a better AMR Pro

Didn’t he say at 24:21 all cars will be produced within their facilities and that’s why they won’t make more than 50 cars otherwise it will impede the F1 projects going on?
@@coolguy_2997 that's not what he's saying, he was talkings in concept of the context of manufacturing? Not quite sure what's confusing to you. The car will be like the McLaren solus. It's not manufactured by McLaren. Pretty sure you'll probably unsure about that as well.
@@kristian6622 please explain, since he certainly says the cars will be manufactured by them and in their facility - it means by RB Advanced Technologies.

Cosworth absolutely back with a bang from the 80s 90s I thought they were gone but look at them now. Hats off to the company!!! Always been immense at making engines and look at them now working with the most prestige cars on earth. They have done an incredible job brilliant
That diffuser is NUTS!! I love the way he explains the flow of the air through the car. What an absolute genius.
This car is a showcase of his abilities, and is probably what he wanted to achieve with the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, but wasn't allowed to do.
singlehandedly is a bit of stretch but he is in modern ages absolutely the best lead engineer/manager
Don't exaggerate, mate. Where was Newey in 2000 - 2009? Where was he in 2014 - 2020? He's good, but relax, he is only part of the package.

Is it just me or the way that Adrian smiles makes me believe that there's a chance he is not even gonna go to f1 next year But rather go to something else, something like a new racing series or la mans?
Could be shocking 😅

Not really there were rumors coming out in 2021 late cycle of Valkyrie. A. Newey was talking of a road car with 1250 hp V8 hybrid in mid summer 2022. Name was RB17. I guess didn't like the limits on Valkyrie and went all in on RB17.

valkarie owners arent going to be happy
Valkyrie owners probably bought this too. Hypercar owners don't just have 1 hypercar
Maybe you need a Valkyrie to even be asked if you want to buy this one?
As if buying another track focused hypercar were an issue for these people. They will buy both and then park them next to each other in a garage, never to be used again
Why? Valkyrie is a road car, this is track only you, and it’s has a NA v12 with a 11k redline… some of you people in the comment section are so weird😂
Valkyrie owners will be fine because this is a track exclusive car. This is an AMR Pro competitor and anyone able to buy one will probably buy this as well.
Finally, a Hypercar that can give you WIIINGS!
As always so educational. He shares so much knowledge and experience.

Yeah he's not the right one to interview Newey.
It may never happen but man can you imagine if he made a Ferrari how iconic it would be.
Oh yes, imagine a V10 Ferrari
