Most belief systems we see currently in the acoustical treatment marketplace have very little basis in hard science. Most belief systems are fueled by half - truths, innuendo, and outright exaggeration. I believe this observartion can apply to many things in today's world.

At the time I was about to treat one of the worst possible dimensioned room. After absorbing your information. (pun intended) I scrapped the idea. Even after purchasing your DIY plans I realized I still couldn't afford to do it right. So, thanks for your hard work and generous sharing. It's saved me spending fools cash. @@rushmuzik Room is way too small for that. 20 feet is not as big as you think, when it's full of band gear. This is a full band setup practice/jam/recording room. Already finished. Solid poured foundation (absorbs LF) and barn-board wall paneling. Room sounds good. Can turn the P.A. up to max with no feed-back. I use close-miccing and will perhaps make some units that can be moved in around the mix position.
Considering that 90% of the people coming here for advice are looking to spend a limited amount of money and 1 of your ACDA10's cost over $1000, you are unfortunately addressing only 10% of your viewing audience. Although not necessarily profit only driven as your videos appear to be, it would be far more helpful to use your vast knowledge to actually try to address people's issues rather than just sound condescending.
We don't need anyone to tell us what our core customer base is. After 18 years in business, over 200 employees and millions in sales, we have that figured out. What you do not understand is our committment to room resolution and the physics behind it. Focus your energies on the space requirements for room resolution rather than what you think our business model should be.

Bass is not trapped by anything. A kick drum strike energy travels 350'. Low frequency energy is managed, never trapped.
You just saved me a lot of time and money!
Low frequency energy requires that it provide a lot of absorption horsepower in order to bring attack and decay rates into focus.
