      @ hey there. I have not tried but would also not recommend them. They will be too heavy and possibly cause too much back pressure on the seal.

    What I found, the Gamo multishot air rifles need a harder pellet. My thoughts, the pellet pusher is putting too much force on the pellet. The JSB's are too soft lead. Below a comment was made on the H&N greens, yes it likes them as they are a hard non-lead pellet. (but feel they are to light for the Magnum) The red-fires, harder lead. Use the Polymag's and you will see similar results. Like to see this rifle with H&N Baracuda Match (heavy) or the Field target Trophy power. (not lead free but harder) Thanks for the video, always great to watch. Greetings from the Netherlands.

    I have this gun in .22 cal now for 6 months and the accuracy comes with time and cleaning the barrel. But it is pellet picky, the H&N hunter extreme gives my 1cm groups at 25 meters.

    Yea my one complaint with the gamo magnum was not being able to move the scope back and poor eye relief. Pyramyd actually recommended the Compact bugbuster (2nd air rifle, did not know any better) .. couldn’t even mount it to my Gen3 magnum.

      Hey there. That mod has been around for 15+ years. It does work, but it works by reducing the sear engagement which can leave the gun in an unsafe condition even with the safety engaged. It’s not a solution that I would ever recommend to anyone. Are you willing to carry the liability of someone getting hurt by applying your suggestion? I’m not.

      It’s interesting you say that as other folks complained because they obscured the true size of the groups. I use them when shooting open sights, but with scoped guns I just use paper. If you are on your phone it may be hard to see. Hopefully you understand.

    Thats today tomorrow will be different. I'm new to air guns and they drive me crazy . I have been wondering why the different pellets typically hit in one quadrant or the other ? The red fires quickly became my favorite, quarter size group's at 25 yd and now they are all over the place so I think its time to start checking some things? Have not thought about the stock

    I understand the gun is as is out of the box with that crappy scope but it will shoot so much better with a decent 100$-150$ UTG Accushot w/side focus in 3-12 or 4-16X44. I watched a guy at the range smacking clay pigeons at 100 yards using this gun and a UTG scope. After talking to him about the factory scope he said the crosshairs moved every time his head did until he removed the factory scope and replaced it with an etched reticle UTG.🤷‍♂️ Hope this helps someone. His did like the Gamo Red Fire and my Daisy HPs the most. Thanks for the info Rick.

    • @joedokes8641
      @joedokes8641 Год назад

      Highly agree with that . The first order of business is replace that scope. UTG scopes are great scopes for the money . I have a BSA Contender on my Gen 2 magnum . Also it shoots the cheap Crosman 14.3 hollow points with precision . You don't need to purchase these 20.00 per tin boutique pellets . Crosmans are under 7.00 .

    Good comparison. I’m in the camp that magnum GAMOs need heavier peeelets.

    • @ronmiller7248
      @ronmiller7248 5 месяцев назад

      After running 500 pellets thru the magnum pro I could not disagree more. Anything over 16 grains results in no accuracy at all. Heck, I cannot even get a 3 inch group consistently at 10 yards using ANYTHING over 16 grains. You will be forced to settle on 1 or 2 pellets at MOST with 1 being the gamo red fire. And you want your FPS above 850 and FPE around 26 otherwise you're wasting your time.

    Hello and thank you for your videos. Just to let you know, I am new to air rifles and never got into shooting. I don't hunt and never really cared for it but now I need varmint control.
    I decided to get the (1 week ago) Gamo Magnum Pro .22 Gen3i but there is something I am curious about. This deals with the initial breaking of the barrel, not the full cocking of the barrel. I can take my right hand (or left), place my thumb on the stock at the pivot point of the barrel and my fingers on the barrel. With a little pressure, not bearing down on it and break the barrel loose.
    Are all Gamo's like this? Are your Gamo's the same or is this something I need to contact Gamo about?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  9 месяцев назад

      It should take some effort to disengage the spring lock in the breech. If you find left to right wobble or the breech opening up without meaning to, then I would reach out to Gamo and have them fix it for you. I've got a video coming out, which is an advanced tutorial for the .22 Magnum Gen 2i Pro. If you can get on target and stay there, then you are probably good to go. If you find that you can't get any consistency with your shots, and you've followed my setup guide and tutorials, then you may have an issue.

      Artillery hold is the most repeatable and reliable way to let a break barrel follow through its unique recoil process. The sandbag would limit this and give wider groups typically.
