Kansas City, MO House Fire | Montgall Ave | 4-6-2024

Kansas City Fire Department TO2, T05, P30, P35, P18, R09, M30, C105, C110, C120, A01, M18, C212 C219 responded to a house fire at 4600 Montgall Ave at 00:45 on April 6th, 2024. Pumper 35 was first on scene.

I seriously question the tactics used on attacking this house fire!

I understand the fact that the person ( presumably a firefighter without turnout gear) was spraying the exterior fire and not hitting the fire n the window, forcing heat back towards interior firefighters making entry to the second floor. However, there did not seem to be any second floor attack. If in fact that was the situation, then an exterior attack would have been called for.

second floor interior attack begins around 3:30 mark. Crews are often met with horder conditions along with questionable construction surprised that hinder access to areas.
