I just love the way that little diesel sounds.
i never thought id be into lawn mowers but after watching your videos you really do show a good cheap way at getting a pretty useful little tractor
Random Everything
Next upgrade: paddle tires and nitrous. You know you wanna.
Thanks a lot man! And those old motors had different power rating's than they do nowadays... For instance, a 10hp from the 60's probably has as much torque as a modern day 18hp engine... give or take. You'll be fine with that motor as long as you get the ignition sealed off.
Next up, 33" swamper tires and propane injection! So much cool in one package. Makes me want one.
The Sears Suburban Diesel (A.K.A. THE BEAST) is amazing. It can go places many ATVS (even four wheel drives) could not. The torque of the diesel is impressive and performs like a gasoline engine with twice or more horsepower. great job on design and build Great video.
We will be out there again this weekend. So there should be more romp action really soon
Fantastic footage with first rate production quality! Right around 3:30... that's incredible, the way you can see the water wash over the back of the tractor and that awful moment when you step in the wrong place and have a soggy foot for the rest of the day. I'm sure there's a good reason why you fellas aren't using hip waders, I would assume because you don't need them 90% of the time but that other 10% still must make you think about it. Cheers man!
haha! funny, I've been thinking of investing in a pair. then I could go deeper and not care.
thanks man!

Your Beast - What an impressive build & cool looking. Thought you were gonna get stuck multiple times & it just keeps going!
The Diesel Sears Suburban has become my favorite of all your Tractors!
Man that tractor sounds so much better with the new exhaust, I think the popping was drowning out too much of the awesome diesel sound before.
I'm currently working on a lawnmower project I have and ATV a Polaris sports man 550 and honda Try 250 they are fun but there is something about driving a lawn mower through mud and just knowing that you made it that excites me
Mike Siegle o
You need to build a 4x4 mower, the polaris's from the early 90's use a chain driven front differential that sends power to the wheels through cv shafts. It would be fairly easy to run a chain from your rear axle to the front, get the struts too and either cut off the top part and build a solid axle or build strut mounts and have front suspension.
That was just so amazingly fun! I just got new tires for my project! Great stuff!
Thanks! We are going back there this weekend, except this time we are gonna play in one area for a little longer.
you are the king of just let em eat! also those pools are soooo deep you go into the murray would be barried for sure.
pretty impressive - like the boot overflow 3:39. Good vid / Smell = Nature composing.
That looked fun all except for the part when you went into the water over the top of your boot....LOL
Well looks like you had a good romp there. That sears surprises me every time, getting through what you throw at it! Nice work man!
what amazes me is the shit you're able to pull thru on these... just when i'm sure you're stuck, something frees up and you're out
Trust me, it amazes us too. That's why we keep doing it. The feeling is the same way when you're driving through mudhole, you'd swear that you were stuck, but all of a sudden something gets pushed out-of-the-way and there you go!
balco
Those old sears transmissions are actually really good for stuff like this. My friend has a 66 Suburban. Maybe we could make a mudding tractor.
i love looking at all of his vids they are so great and u can learn too
love that diesel power is there away to put a front wheel assist on that tractor now that would make a bad ass tractor with articulating steering
@FiringlabGaming. There are plenty of trails in PA. Depends on where you live. A big one everyone knows about is Rausch creek. Check it out.
he has a more aggressive pulley swap than I do
Pully swap, he has a 1:1 ratio, meaning everytime the engine spins, it spins the input shaft of the transmission. So if he had his engine running at 5000 rpm, the input shaft would be spinning at about 5000 rpm.
Dude that was so awesome this looks like North Carolina by my house! i have a chance to buy a sears suburban for 300 i sold go buy it now!
Awesome video fearless! I envy that diesel. Lol.
man that sears is a beast! i bet when you first got it you didnt think it could do that. thing never gets stuck lol
at 2:15 that garden lawn stuff worked great
If you get a set of HL Outlaws,or Silverbacks for the rear you will not get stuck any more...Either of them will walk circles around the Swamp Lites...
nice romp fearless ! i still have my 76 LT10 and my 89 craftsman future mud pigs ! planning build ups soon ! i need some ideas fearless !!
Great vid buddy! Get those last romps in before the cold
Yeah, I still have to test those new rear tires
I donno around 12-15mph
Fear less front see if you can put 29.5 outlaws on the Sears I thinck that much torch u should be able to turn them tiers over dude keep up the good work nice off-road lawnmores
Josh Chresoulis probably 26 inch ones I don't thing the 29.5 would fit
Josh Chresoulis I fit 26/12/12 with minor foot peg trimming and moved the fenders up a little
Looked like fun. I wonder if you have put antifreeze in your tires for weight? I would put a splash shield over the air filter.
That looks like alot of fun. But I would never do that shit because I stay too clean.#fresh shoes, fresh hat, fresh shirt, and nice chain...
It looks funner than quads!
BTW a winch might be something to consider...
haha! yea, it's got one now

damn you guys are havin fun. i want one. we dont have many country roads arrond here
Have you thought about design and engineering trax that would basically a mini tank?
Taking the tread of a tire and wrapping it around the wheels but having a tensioner to allow it clearance around the shroud.
Just a thought better than 4x4 concept.
Take those machines for a campingtrip in the woods!
I have a sears build just like his because it looks so badass should check out my vids of it
enduro mike cool I have seen them its bad ass
You should bring the diesel and the murry, and let somebody (like meanmower the one who drove the lifted mudding mower) drive the diesel or the murry part of the way.
These tanks are not afraid of a dirt!
can't wait for this year
The diesel mower is awesome.
Love the diesel!! It's friggin AWESOME!
Tracks on the suburban would be badass
sounds really like a semi diesel hot-bulb engine!
Hell yeah ... I've been wanting to do a camping run but nobody here likes tractor romping :(
Sometimes it slows down, but it always seems to keep digging
Freaking awesome! I love the diesel sears and I love these romp videos!
i'd love to do an over night once I get my trailer build all set up so I can "overland" with it
I have the same gear selection as the Sears.
Hey Fearless you should do a video of the Sears with Diesel Power by The Prodigy as backing music.
awesome man, can't wait!
could you make a 4x4 off road lawnmower. i know it'll probably take a long time, but could be a good project to start
Man i miss living in maine it Was AmaZing! now i live in pa And theres no trails or nothin
that looked like a blast
Those mudflaps work great!!!!
You should try and make a snowblower attachment for the winta'!
I'm not sure why I've never thought of it before but why not put independent front suspension on one of these you could get a lot more flex on the trail moving over rocks and trees with it just a single A arm with a soft shock
Hey I think it would be kool and people would like if u did some pulling vids and tug if wars. Also u should turbo the sears
Wow 7 years ago.
Nice job yall..nn workin n an 18hp opposed myself wid hi n low trans
Fearless if you put a turbo on it, it probably would go a lot faster and not bog down when its in deep mud
NICE! Got some great footage!
haha, sometimes you just gotta sit back and feed the beast! lol
hey Fearless are you going to get the old murray and tak it for a romp because i miss seeing it in the mud getting durty not saying anything is bad about the sears i just would like to see the murray out and going agian
i love all of your lawn mower vids. but I have an idea ! U should make a weedeater bike. I am right now making one and it is coming along. u can look at some vids on youtube on how to make them. when its done it should hit 25 MPH without any modifications. I really hope u can take this into consideration. PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!
i like your tracter man dont stop making video
Awsome video Fearless!!!
I almost have my clone of the sears built hope it works as well as yours
very cool tractors
thanks man, it's growing on me too!
I didn't think anything could stop the Sears
i Havent gone threw every video of yours, But would you have one were you first get a mower with the blades and everything still on it and showing how to scrap it off. :)
Great vid
Whens the next lifted mower update?!
great trail run man, i posted lapavonimac's video with a pic of your sears on ATLTF.com's facebook page. Cheers!
great video
todd...... hows the trail lookin?.....im lookin to ride
ONLY WILL WE FIND THIS IN MY BIRTH STATE OF MAINE!!!
How did you get your belts to not slip my belts slip last 3 or4 years and I think I tryed ever thing
first thing I always do, buy, or install a stronger clutch spring. you'd be surprised how much this helps.
Otherwise, you'll probably want to make some thing custom
muddings fun with tractors
great video miss u dude
nice romp got a good shifter question for you if you get a chance
my brothers got a suburban frame too he uses it for pulling
Now that cooler weather n winter is aprouching, how are you going to go about cold staring that hog? head heater, or block heater or glowplug?
nice mower! You should make it a little faster though.
that was freakin awesome guys!!
have u ever seen the game wardens and what part of maine u from I'm from mass and i have a cabin up in maine
I have a l130 automatic John Deere no deck. Want to make a mudding tractor out of it. Any suggestions
Y'all need to put snorkels on the carburetors
Since the motor runs so much faster than the transmission is that harder on the transmission
Need to put a winch on the front of the diesel.
Grab yourself a pair of waders brother you wife will love ya for it!
Probaly because the engine dosnt have enough power to spin the tires full speed at 3rd gear high range when in mud. What cc is the engine?
How did this engine stand up long term
u guys should build snorkels
