I can't believe I never left a comment on this video. This is one of my favourite edits of Bagginshield and I have been watching it over and over again ever since it came out. The editing of the scene changes, rhytm and fitting lyrics are top notch. I love how the rhytm dictates the changing scenes and how there is such thought for how the lyrics should fit with the story and the scenes. I also love how there is a point of view for both Bilbo and Thorin. I usually like to pick out my favourite parts and elaborate on them but the whole video is so amazing that I should talk of every second of it if I wanted to do my usual take. But I'm going to mention a couple of them. 1:14 heartwrenching Self-fulfilled prophecy, do I need to say more. For Thorin it's more obvious (with the madness that took his grandfather) and sooooo well-fitting. But also, the foreshadowing of Thorin's death when he faced Azong in Azanulbizar was such a good choice. However, the narrative that you have found for Bilbo, wow! 0:45 when Bilbo states that "I do believe the worst is behind us" and then we clips of him facing much worse, brilliant! And how Bilbo returns home is paired with the talk he had with Gandalf in Bag End... How at some point it's Thorin on the screen when "I know exactly what I want and who I want to be" plays while for Bilbo the lyrics say "why I walk and talk like I'm a machine" and then the lyrics are switched to fit the other in the next chorus. Love that and the scene choices like the one at 1:38 for "I know exactly" 1:04 this hits differently and I'm not even going to talk about the "die" moments. And all the Bagginshield moments ♥ perfection. The video illustrates so well how their journeys are parallelled and then you intertwined them even more together with the Bagginshield. Well done both of you, I'm so grateful for this video :)
OH MY GOSH THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!!! I was laughing and crying - I can never be serious when I hear this song because it's my song. IT IS ME. But then the precious Durins were on and I just about died. WHY DID YOU DO THAT?? T_T And you two working together? This is a dream come true, two of my favourite vidders creating something awesome :D And Bagginshield, I just love them so much, I can't
