90 people thought that hitting the reset button would automatically change their oil.
This is why I love RUclips. I got the oil changed in my car today, and the oil life is reset to 100%, but the reading is stuck on the screen and won't display the mileage. This video showed me how to change it. Thanks! :)

I had previously tried to reset my oil light with this video and it wasn't working for me.... Then today i. Tried again and realized I was not following directions carefully.... When I did the extra step mentioned.... It. Worked and this is why i left a comment. And gave thumbs 👍 up

This is fantastic - thank you! You saved me a trip to the dealer. Big-O tires changed my oil and they said they didn't have the equipment needed to reset the light because Honda was somehow "different" from other car makes in the way the light gets reset. Your suggestion worked like a charm. I have a 2008 CRV.

Maybe they just didn't know how simple it was and thought you needed to plug in a device.

Thanks for this. The fact that over a quarter million Honda owners need this video is a measure of how stupid the Honda system is. Honda has about a dozen different ways of cancelling the light depending on year and model. Idiotic.

Great vid. I've had all Honda's before this year 07 and the oil reset is usually hold the button in before turning the key. They switched it up a bit on the newer ones lol

mitch cox dealerships and shady shops do that,,ive seen it first hand,been a mechanic my whole life,thats why i tell people be careful where you take your car and get to know your mechanic

first oil change on my used 2012 Accord. Brought it to the dealership and they didn't reset it... talk about missing details. but thanks to your video I was able to get the info I needed quick and painlessly.

The owners manual is worthless for this. I always spend about five minutes messing around with it thinking I'll remember how. Then I watch your video and and I'm done in about twenty seconds. Thanks!

Thanks for the video......I had to wait 1 1/2 hrs for my CRV just for an oil change!! Now I won't have to go to the dealer!! Plus they charged $50 rip off. Thanks again!!
Wayne Young WOW! $50 for an oil change, Does seem high.. I generally trust Valvoline instant oil changes for getting mine done. it averages around $25-$30 and I am generally done in about $20 minutes. For anything other issues, I take it to honda.
