Buzz is spot on about the pick a woman with a job who isn't dependent on you. If someone is self sufficient and doesn't really need you, but you love each other and take care of each other anyway it's much more appreciated, because you're truly doing it out of love.
I decided to see what Buzz was up to these days when I stumbled upon this interview. Easily THE BEST interview I’ve ever seen with him. It felt very natural, very conversational. I like That. Thanks for doing this video!
its so funny buzz says he never uses marshall heads or tube heads yet here i see buzzo at every show since 2023 to 2024 using a marshall 900 head at every show.

The woman interviewing him is just so unprepared, clueless, silly and annoying. It is infuriating and almost unwatchable. I saw it through because Buzz did, too.
Interviewer was just fine. Very pleasant respectful and had questions prepared. He was most likely down considering his best friend was having invasive surgery that very day.

Buzz has kept going artistically in a way that almost nobody else has for over 40 years, while seeing EVERYONE else from their time either lose it, go inactive for long periods, or just stop completely. He and Dale have never made millions and have kept an amazing work ethic the whole time that is pretty much unheard of in the music community, especially for bands that don’t make much money. It’s a lot easier to keep going for years if your band makes enough for buses and a big crew. The Melvins still tour the country in a van, and Buzz does the driving. They are among the absolute best examples of working class musicians making weird music that you can ever find.

Let's assume they made $5k for each of those gigs, that's $100k each for the last 20 years. They probably average a lot more than $5k a night these days. They're not poor
Dale has said in an interview that he makes around $75,000 on a good year. Buzz might make a bit more on any backend royalties as songwriter, but these guys are solidly working class in a way that is rare in the music community. That 75k of income doesn’t go far living in California, or even in a lower income state like where I live. He and Buzz have both said they can’t afford not to tour, there is no retirement plan, no big savings waiting for them after they hang it up. They’re in the shit with all of us working folks, in ways that absolutely none of their peers were able to match or keep up with.
