A fine look of one chapter of the Los Angeles Railway in the late 1940s as shot on Kodak color movie film from the collection of Jim Salkeld's family. This is part of a greater compilation of the LA Railway and the Pacific Electric interurban lines known as the Big Red cars.

I rode a trolley in Phoenix, AZ, in the late 40s and then they disappeared. Of course, now taxpayers have spent millions on light rail, mostly in the same destinations.
