I bought the original game because of your playthrough. I was determined that I could give the children a happy life, but no matter what or how I played nothing helped. It was so hopeless. I cried so many times playing that game. It felt so real, the helplessness. I saved and saved and foraged and fished, and eventually made a ton of money, but the end was all the same no matter how many gifts I could give them. The message was so real, and I'm happy to see they made a sequel. I want a chance to actually give the kids the life I so desperately wanted to provide them.
😔 This is a mood. Tried so hard to be the loving parent but the kid kept getting his (or her) heart shattered to pieces repeatedly when he (or she) left the house. It's really tough.

Would it be wrong to use an infinite money cheat in this game? Like, you could give everything you wanted to Klaus/Karin, I don't think it would be wrong to spoil them a little...
@@Calvodecria559 it just wouldn’t make a difference in the end. I mean you could feed them more and give them toys, but unless you played through the whole base game initially before adding modifications, you lose the whole point of the game.
I’d say after you played through the game how it’s intended, do whatever you please to get more out of the game.
I might have watched others before but my child lebensborn was the first time I really was captured by your playthroughs and realized what an emotionally cathartic experience they can be

Quick tip for when the full game comes out (and I rush to see you play it!) when it turn night time, you still have two circles to use up before it’s time for bed. You can feed, wash or cook something for the next day.
You don’t have to go straight to sleep when it gets dark.

Commenting before even watching. "My child lebensborn" was the one video I got totally hooked on you. The emotions you showed in that upload was amazing for me. Like.. "wow someone actually cares about children going through shit". I knew people cared before on an intellectual level but that was the first time I knew it on an emotional level and that healed something in me and got me started on my healing journey from my childhood trauma. It sounds weird but yeah "some youtuber made me go to therapy" lol. Thank you

It’s nice to see the teacher is concerned for Karin when one of the first interactions you have with a teacher in the first game is her responding to a note reporting bullies with bullying Karin

Don't worry about the paint, Morph. My mom had a wealth of those moments: going through the McDonald's drive thru, paying, and driving away without the food; shouting for me in a panic because she'd lost her glasses and couldn't see (they were on her head); trying to make guacamole with mayonnaise; putting a new tube of toothpaste in the freezer, etc.

My husband found it in the gerbil cage. I must have walked past it and seen it dozens of times but my brain didn’t think it’d be there so I never saw it.

After frantically cleaning and moving the last few things (sometime circa midnight at that point), my desktop keyboard ended up in the dog’s crate. I didn’t discover it until the next afternoon and felt like such a dingus. The dog was NOT impressed 😆

I don't know what it is, but you have the prefect tone and pacing when giving commentary for these two games. Your voice goes hand-in-hand with the music and overall atmosphere. I'm so excited for the full playthrough of the sequel.
I just downloaded this game. I got the girl and ive already bought her the backpack she wanted for school and i wrote a letter to her i guess birth parent. Also i bought her a comb from the store as well. And i make sure i read her stories every night so i dont work overtime and come home late all the time.
I feel like the worst person ever when I have to refuse him reading the stories...

I had avoided your playthrough of the first game because I KNEW it would destroy me - if it makes you ugly cry I know I will, too - but seeing this video release finally got me to watch it and I'm so devastated. I'm really hoping this sequel will be the healing that everyone greatly needs ;~; I'd love to see you play with Klaus when it releases, so we can continue his story and hopefully he can go on a journey of healing from his trauma. I know this first peek is barely scratching the surface of what's to come and I'm already feeling like a mess. I'm so glad the devs gave you this early access to the game; maybe this is their way of making it up to you for destroying your heart lol
Same here, finally watched the first one when I saw this uploaded. I have to say after finishing it last night and watching this one tonight I feel it has softened my heart.

There's just something about this story and these kids that makes me feel so devastated but especially watching Morph play as their parent makes me feel so soft and I'm really looking forward to this sequel. I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy the "my child" games but it turns out Morph being a soft parent trying to give these sad kids the best lives possible is, indeed, something I need 😭🥺

Your playthrough of the fist game is one of my favourite, I bought the game halfway through and played it 3 times just hoping to give better responses and slightly happier time for my Karin 😭 I'm glad you got to play this early and shared it with us

I watched you and Klaus some time back. Please continue his story - like you said, he is your kid. And also please try to remember to use your 2 night time points for stuff like cooking! You can prepare meals for the next day!

I have never commented before, but I must say, before even watching this video, the first game you played through made me subscribe to your channel. The game reminded me a lot about my grandmother's stories about her family's poverty in childhood. And since I am German and my grandma was born in 1942, it resonated with me a lot and I connected with the way how lovely you were to the child in-game. I already know, I will enjoy watching this sequel with your gameplay and thoughts throughout the story!
Oh my god I needed this !!! I couldn't accept the fact the first game would end up like that, I find it marvelous that there is a sequel where we can heal and grow past the first game ! And as another personn commented, the first game was the first interaction I had with your channel, so I'm very glad to see a sequel !

This sequel looks amazing BUT... is this reading to anyone else as the wrong time period? I'm not sure 1950'ties Norway would have had pizza and pancakes and dungarees for girls (although maybe?) and I don't think TV's would have been common place for lower class households until the middle to late 1960'ties. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I'm just a bit confused and hoping someone else noticed 😅
Anyway, the first video I watched from Morph was My Child Lebensborn, and I absolutely loved it. I'm so excited for this sequel to come out, I can't wait to watch the full playthrough!

i thought the same, so i looked at the steam page. they say they're disconnecting it from the time period and having just a klaus and karin with the same traumatic experiences but not ones that specifically happened in 1950s norway.
i guess it makes sense to want to set it a little further post-war to do a more complex life sim where you could realistically buy all those house upgrades and stuff. as well as to respectfully do a sequel that's about healing while still preserving the original intent of the first game's historically accurate vague ending.
it's intentional on their part, but yeah, suddenly seeing a wall phone and a TV with VHS behind karin threw me too
@@sidoniegabrielle269I mean I think its a little weird, a massive part of the first game was that Klaus or Karin’s dad was German and the timeline kind of has to be readjusted to make it so people would be vicious towards that.

Your first video on this literally changed my life. What an absolutely brilliant and heartbreaking way to teach people about the struggles of real lofe children after the war. I've never wanted to cuddle and love a game character like I did Klaus. Absolutely changed me.

This game, 1 and 2 are my FAVORITE! You are such a great Papa! My heart feels the happy parts! Oh! The ducks and swans love raw oats too. I feed our ducks organic oats and the fish eat it too! I was at the end of this post AND THEY LEFT US HANGING WORRYING ABOUT OUR CHILD> Ugg!

Omg, I found your channel through your play through of My child lebensborn and I'm watching you since then. Being a german native speaker myself, I really cried after that game. It felt so personal, and I learned about the Lebensborn Children because of this game. WWII was so messed up. And now you are playing the sequel... I can't help myself but I'm fangirling right now! I had no idea that there was more to this game coming out and I was just thrilled at the idea of playing the first one with my bf for his first time and then show him your playthrough because it was so impactful for me. It’s how I discovered the game and I wouldn’t have wanted to see it for my first time, any other way. These games always warm my heart hearing Morph truly immerse himself into the game. He truly gave these characters life where it feels like he truly adopted the children with how careful he is with the words he chooses and how he is emotionally affected with how the story progresses. Thank you morph for creating this sweet lovely space within the gaming community its very much needed to help enjoy and relax with these games
I honestly can't remember where I came in at, maybe a few vids before your first playthrough of My Child Lebensborn, but that is a very memorable one. Pick Klaus for the nostalgia, he's YOUR BOY after all~ 😁
These videos make me sad as someone who didn't grow up with the best parent or best life.
But it's also comforting too, seeing the good choices on there and that you try your best to pick them even for a virtual child~
I chose not to become a parent for many reasons but am strongly considering fostering a child as I've had a few friends go through the system (in the USA) and it's pretty crap.
You seem like someone who would also be a good foster parent, if you didn't want to adopt or have one of your own. Personally I don't think people should be bringing more children into this world and should take care of the ones already here.
